Story Event: Together in an Unknown Land
Akari is making her Pokémon Masters EX debut today in a new Poké Fair Scout, together with her partner Hisuian Samurott. Alongside this scout, Akari is taking center stage in a brand new Story Event, Together in an Unknown Land. Rei & Decidueye, who also features in this event, will debut in their own scout in two days time.

Story Event: Together in an Unknown Land
Arriving through a space-time rift much like Adaman and Irida did in the Travelers from a Distant Past event earlier this year, the Together in an Unknown Land Story Event sees the two members of the Galaxy Team look to form Sync Pairs on Pasio together with their partners. This event will run through to October 15th, at 10:59pm (PDT).

Story Event: Together in an Unknown Land
By completing battles during this event, players can earn Event Voucher M items, which can be exchanged for a variety of valuable items including 5★ Scout Tickets, 5★ Power-Ups, Skill Gear, Special Skill Feathers, and a Sprint Move Candy Coin. Players can also obtain Gems, Sprint and Field Move Candy Coins, and Event Medals for completing special missions during the event.

As usual for events of this type, players will have an increased chance of receiving bonus rewards if they take on event battles using teams that feature specific sync pairs. The more of these sync pairs that players place in their lineup, the greater the bonus received. The applicable Sync Pairs and reward rates are as follows:
These bonuses stack additively, so having a team consisting of Akari & Samurott, Adaman & Leafeon, and Irida & Glaceon would grant a combined +140% (x2.4) rewards.

Players should also note the following when playing this event:
  • The number of plays available for Daily Extreme Battle 1 are reset every day at 11:00pm (PDT).
  • To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
  • The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
  • All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
  • Leftover Event Voucher M items will be automatically converted to coins at a rate of 10 coins per item at the end of the event, and sent to players' Present Boxes

This event includes a log-in bonus over 14 days. Players can receive these bonuses up until October 15th at 10:59pm (PDT), so even if you're a couple of days late starting the event you'll still have the chance to receive all of the available gifts.

Akari & Samurott
Hisuian Sync Pairs make their debut

Akari & Samurott Poké Fair Scout
Akari & Samurott are making their Pokémon Masters EX Debut in a limited-time Akari Poké Fair Scout alongside the launch of Together in an Unknown Land. This scout is available in-game now, and will continue through to October 18th, at 10:59pm (PDT). As normal for Poké Fair Scouts, 5★ sync pairs have a 10% chance of appearing in this scout. This Poké Fair Scout also includes a daily discount, where players can perform a single scout for x100 paid gems. This daily discount can be used 1 time per day during the entire length of the scout.

Akari's 6★ EX outfit
This fair-exclusive pair are being released with an expanded sync grid, the ability to be raised to 6★ EX, and the ability to unlock an EX Role when raised to 6★ EX. Raising the pair to 6★ EX reverses the blue and red parts of Akari's outfit, while changing her scarf to blue and belt and shoes to red to match Samurott.

Akari & Samurott are a Dark-type Field Role Sync Pair with a Strike EX Role. The first time they enter a battle, their Passive Skills will reduce the Sync Move countdown by one, raise their attack by four stat ranks, raise their critical-hit rate by three stat ranks, and apply the Move Gauge Acceleration effect to the allied field of play, allowing them to rapidly push out strong attacks. They can further boost themselves and their allies with their Mutual Understanding! status move, which turns the field of play into a Dark Zone, as well as increasing an ally's Speed by four stat ranks, and their Physical Moves Next and Special Moves Next effects by two stat ranks each. More information on this sync pair can be found on Bulbapedia.

Rei & Decidueye arrive later this week
Rei, who also features in Together in an Unknown Land alongside Akari, is making their Pokémon Masters EX debut in 2 days time in their own separate Poké Fair scout. This scout will begin on September 30th, at 11:00pm (PDT), running through to October 18th, at 10:59pm (PDT).

Welcome Akari and Rei Social Rally Results
As expected, players have had little trouble in making sufficient reposts to satisfy the requirements of this social rally. As a result, all players will be receiving the following rewards:
  • 5★-Guaranteed Scout Ticket x30
  • 5★ Power-Up Ticket x 50
  • Strike Roll Cake Coin x 1
  • Tech Roll Cake Coin x 1
  • Support Roll Cake Coin x 1
  • Sprint Roll Cake Coin x 1
  • Field Roll Cake Coin x 1
  • Champion Spirit x 50
To claim these rewards, players will need to login to the game between October 6th, at 11:00pm (PDT), and November 6th, at 9:59pm (PST), with gifts being sent immediately to the player's Present Box in-game on logging-in.

Get the New Gear! Event

As discussed in the developer letter earlier this week, changes are being made to how Gear functions in Pokémon Masters EX, with the addition of a new category of Gear, Skill Gear. Skill Gear works together with player's Theme Skills, adding stats and additional effects for Sync Pairs with one of the Gear's theme matches at least one of the Sync Pair's Theme Skills. For more information on how this gear works, please see our coverage of the developer letter.

In this special event starting today and running through to October 12th, at 10:59pm (PDT), players will be able to complete daily battles in order to acquire a total of 3 Skill Bracelets, 3 Skill Bandannas, and 3 Skill Pins. Completing all of these battles, and their accompanying missions, will also earn players a rare Ever Pin item, allowing players to protect one Theme or additional effect on their Skill Gear.

New areas will be added daily at 11:00pm, starting from September 29th, with the final area added on October 6th.

Players should also note the following when playing this event:
  • To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
  • The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
  • All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
  • Players will need to have completed the Champion Stadium Hard Lv. 1 for any region in order to use Skill Gear, though the Gear and associated items can be acquired even if this has not yet been accomplished.
Log-in Bonus
This event includes a log-in bonus over 10 days, gifting players 2 Yellow Skill Feathers for each daily log-in. These Skill Feather items can be used to unlock Skills for each item of Skill Gear. Players can receive these bonuses up until October 12th at 10:59pm (PDT), so even if you're a couple of days late starting the event you'll still have the chance to receive all of the available gifts.
