Alpha and Omega - A Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Roleplay (Start-Up)

[Oblivion]

Team Alpha and Team Omega. Two exploration teams, but they have been fierce rivals since they were formed. Founded by two brothers, a sibling rivalry soon escalated into just short of a war. In the instance that the two teams collided, the results were catastrophic. Throughout the years, they have both attempted to assert their hold as the best exploration team in the land, as well as finding a way to neutralize the opposing team. The two teams are now recruiting new members.

The Teams

Team Alpha

The more good-natured of the two teams, Team Alpha was founded and is currently run by Galahad, a Gallade with a strong sense of justice and honor. They make their base at the top of a hill overlooking the nearby town. The base itself is a tower, with numerous floors and balconies, spiraling into the sky.

Team Omega

Spoiler

Easily the more violent and brute of the two, this team was founded by Lancelot, a morally questionable Bisharp with a bit of a superiority complex and a condescending demeanor. The base goes into a ditch on the opposite side of town as Team Alpha's headquarters. The base itself is a completely underground structure, with lookouts positioned on the surface. The base has underground tunnels connecting various buildings.

Rules

1. No godmodding. This includes auto-hitting, and character-jacking.
2. No excessive violence.
3. Relationships are allowed, but keep it appropriate.
4. No legendary Pokemon.
5. Do not harass your fellow RPers.
6. In the event that you break one or more of these rules, you will be given a warning. If the rule-breaking escalates, you will be booted.

Galahad

Galahad looked off into the distance from the top balcony of the Alpha Tower. The sun was rising, the day was pleasant, and new experiences were about to unfold. Galahad had sent the invitations to his recruits that night, and they should be showing up right around now. Team Alpha could use some new faces. Seeing the same people day after day became rather dull. He was already pondering over what they would do at their first day there.

In the distance, the Gallade saw the large indentation that marked the entrance to Team Omega's base of operations. Lancelot was surely in there, scheming and plotting. Why couldn't he see sense?


Venom

Venom the Beedrill was currently buzzing towards the great tower that marked Team Alpha's headquarters. He was excited and nervous at the same time. Sure, this would be his first day as a member of the exploration team, but he wasn't sure he would fit in well enough. After all, a team couldn't function without teamwork, and teamwork was something that Venom still needed to work on.


Lancelot

Lancelot, the leader, bordering on dictator, of Team Omega, was patiently waiting in his private quarters. He too had sent invitations to individuals he thought had potential. Hopefully they wouldn't squander said potential. Foolishness and laziness were two things Lancelot simply could not stand. And punishments for misconduct were not pleasant.

Lancelot wondered what Galahad was doing at this moment. Probably nothing of real importance. While his brother would go about settling trivial matters, Lancelot would settle on the bigger picture. There were many intriguing matters that he wanted to investigate with utmost haste. But, unfortunately, he needed more members to do so.


Marek

If you looked really close, you would probably see slight disturbances in the ground along the path to the Team Omega base. Said disturbances were being caused by an Excadrill named Marek, who was currently tunneling his way to said base.

Exploration wasn't something Marek was too fond of. Really, combat was his only real interest, but he certainly did it well. And that was another reason why he had decided on Team Omega. The aggressive nature of the team definitely fit Marek best.

[Athena Blade]

Moon walks towards the Alpha base, wondering what was going to happen. She enters and looks around, "Hello?"

 

[Flaze]

Kleus

Kleus was panting while making his way towards the Alpha base, he came from a long way and as thus was tired from all the traveling he had done. "There it is," he replied as he looked at the base from the distance, a look of nervousness and delight at the same time, he was worried he wouldn't be able to get along with people, after all he's been by himself for the last couple of years, but he knew he couldn't let his fears get in the way of things.

Rick

Rick was running towards the Omega base, a wide grin on his face, the grin coming from all the thoughts of things he could do during missions. He wasn't one for working in a team or doing anything without complaining except for fighting, but then again that was the sole reason he joined, he was a blood knight and as long as he could fill his thirst he didn't care.

 

[Terram]

Flynn flew down a path getting closer and closer to the Team Alpha headquarters. He looked up and saw that he was approaching a sizable tower. He reached the base of the tower, looked up and thought, "Quite an impressive structure". He landed on the ground, shaking some of the sand off his wings. "I guess I should just wait by the entrance"

 

[Oblivion]

Venom started to notice more people heading towards the building. They included a Scyther, Vibrava, Gardevoir, and an Accelgor. He too went inside, but he was greeted by who he guessed was a security guard of some sort, a rather bulky Machamp. "You guys new recruits?" he asked.

Likewise, the two guards posted outside the entrance to the Tema Omega headquarters, a Houndoom and a Mightyena, approached Ken, Marek, and Rick, but under more apprehensive pretenses. "State your business," the Houndoom growled.

"What are ya talking about?" Marek asked. "We're the people who were recruited into this team. Shouldn't you have figured that out by this point?"

 

[Athena Blade]

"No, we're the maids... I'm just kidding but yes we're recruits, well as far as I'm concern," Moon says softly.

[LichenLeaf]

Lapis walked along the path leading to Team Omega's base. She felt uncomfortable being so exposed out in the open, but she coped. It wouldn't do to show weakness on her first day. She arrived at the edge of the ditch where the base was located and cackled to herself. It was underground. She'd be right at home. Lapis walked up to the two pokemon she assumed were the guards.

 

[Flaze]

Rick

"I thought it was obvious you know," Rick deadpanned as he looked at the guards. "You guys are looking for recruits so we must be...the caterers," he said sarcastically.

Kleus

"Yes I'm a recruit," Kleus replied to the guard in the Alpha Base with a simple nod.

 

[LichenLeaf]

Lapis watched while hiding in the shadow of the Excadrill. She smirked at the sarcastic remarks the Excadrill and Monferno made.

 

[Oblivion]

The Machamp nodded. He looked behind him, then quickly stepped aside. In his wake, stood Galahad himself. He walked up to the group. "Welcome. You may have heard of us, or maybe you haven't. We are Team Alpha, dedicated to protection and honor. I am Galahad, this team's founder and leader," he said, giving a bow. "Please, do come in."

With that, he turned around and walked into the headquarters, Venom following close behind.

The Houndoom gave a chuckle. These guys were definitely fit for the job. "That's right. Head in down that ladder right there. That'll lead straight to the-"

However, his sentence was cut off by dirt being sprayed into his face as Marek tunneled into the ground, completely ignoring the ladder. The Mightyena looked down into the ditch that he had created, before turning back around with a snarl.

 

[Athena Blade]

Moonlight followed behind them. Thanks for asking our names... she thinks to herself.

 

[Flaze]

"Thank you," Kleus nodded his head as he walked inside of the tower.

"That was cool," Rick said to Marek as he followed him inside the base.

Ken 'Hmphed' and entered the building

 

[LichenLeaf]

Lapis cackled again, and headed towards the hole Marek had made. She glanced down, before taking a leap into the darkness behind Rick. She landed on all fours before straightening back up, and checking out her surroundings. She smirked, and followed the two pokemon into the base.

 

[Oblivion]

Marek grinned. "It's one o' the things I do best. Dirt's easy. Stone doesn't take much. Metal requires a tad bit of effort, but I can bust through it just fine," he said, pride clear in his voice.

Once he had reached one of the Team Omega buildings, there were a few problems. First of all, he came in through the ceiling, falling flat on his face once he had busted a hole through it.

And even though he didn't realize it, he had managed to tunnel his way into Lancelot's quarters. fortunately, the Bisharp wasn't there. "Man, I hate it when that happens..." Marek muttered to himself.

"Now, I believe some introductions are in order," Galahad said once most of the group had entered. "We need to get to know each other, as we will be working together in the near future. You can choose to say as little or as much as you wish. There's no need to share information you're uncomfortable telling."

 

[Hector]

Ares followed the other new Alpha recruits into the headquarters without saying a word. The best thing to do in these situations was to observe, then speak.

"I am... Akira" he said quietly

 

[Flaze]

"My name is Kleus, it's nice to meet you," Kleus replied, proceeding to look at all the other recruits that had gathered, they would be his comrades so he had to get to know him.

"Hey you okay!?" Rick exclaimed as he saw Marek fall flat on his face. "That was a pretty long fall."
