"Free money from the Feds" is a bad thing imo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Not when you're starving. This money is meant to help the impoverished.

There's other sources besides the government. Not when you're starving. This money is meant to help the impoverished.
You're going to have to elaborate there."Free money from the Feds" is a bad thing imo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
There's other sources besides the government.
You're going to have to elaborate there.
Not a fan of big government. You're going to have to elaborate there.
That's not really elaborating, just rephrasing your earlier statement. Not a fan of big government.
You didn't quote my whole post but ok:That's not really elaborating, just rephrasing your earlier statement.
Exactly how is this clarifying any further? You didn't quote my whole post but ok:
You describe yourself relative to groups and talked about "American values" without defining what they are. That doesn't explain anything about your positions.I'm conservative but not really Republican, I support whoever I feel is upholding American values the best.
This is a great clarification, because it clearly explains your reasoning for why you think this is bad. But why don't you consider covid a national emergency?I don't think the government should ever give out money for any reason besides a national emergency.
I do consider covid an emergency. I also think that the government should be focusing more on helping reopen and thus create jobs than paying people to sit at home.
You can "focus on reopening" all you want, but it's still gonna take a lot of time for that to happen. Until then, people need some money to survive. So it makes no sense to punish already struggling people by denying them unemployment benefits."I don't know why these governors thought you could just flip a switch and suddenly every business was going to get up and running and every worker back to a job," she said. "It's still going to take a while to get people back to work.
Does this also extend to oil and gas subsidies? Or farmer subsidies? Or the ridiculous ammount of money and military hardware given away to cops? All things that Red States are known to have accepted from "the Feds" for many decades now?I don't think the government should ever give out money for any reason besides a national emergency.
What the government should do is focus on regulating jobs so that they have pay a living wage instead of expecting people to work just because capitalism told them to.I do consider covid an emergency. I also think that the government should be focusing more on helping reopen and thus create jobs than paying people to sit at home.
I don’t necessarily disagree, but from my experience the people who are complaining about “cancel culture” (not you, but people I’ve seen on Twitter, etc.), are people who are being held accountable for saying or doing genuinely insensitive things.cancel culture is very spooky. if you yourself are using it, it's not very good. discussions could be had instead of people getting swept up in anger. it would be better if we ignored the terrible arguments (if you want to), and focus on making things happen and good discussions to make everyone okay-ish with things happening even if they disagree.
join us liberal libertarians, there's like five of us in the world probably

So much for big tech “censoring” conservatives.
