Interesting maybe, but inaccurate. It is perfectly reasonable to call Bernie and AOC liberals, because they are liberals. Social democracy, while more left and closer to socialism than the social liberalism of the traditional Democratic Party, is still a form of liberalism because it accepts, to varying degrees, the capitalist mode of production, private property and enterprise, and the profit motive.

Saying that Hillary Clinton of all fucking people was not a centrist is proof enough that the author's grasp of political ideology is muddled at best.

Post debate NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll results:
  • Joe Biden: 31% (+5)
  • Sen. Elizabeth Warren: 25% (+6)
  • Sen. Bernie Sanders: 14% (+1)
  • Mayor Pete Buttigieg: 7% (0)
  • Sen. Kamala Harris: 5% (-8)
  • Entrepreneur Andrew Yang: 4% (+2)
  • Sen. Amy Klobuchar: 2% (+1)
  • Sen. Cory Booker: 2% (+1)
  • Former Rep. Beto O'Rourke: 1% (-1)
  • Former HUD Secretary Julián Castro: 1% (0)
Voter "enthusiasm" results for the top five candidates:
  • Warren: 35%
  • Sanders: 25%
  • Biden: 23%
  • Buttigieg: 19%
  • Harris: 13%

I still cant decide. Yang interests me but I cant see him winning the Primaries nor am I sold on any of the others just yet. I still like Sanders Im jusrt not sure if I want to choose him this time around. Id like to see how he and Elizabeth Warren do leading up to the Primaries next year.

Don't sweat it. It's still too early in the campaign. You still have plenty of time to wait before you decide who to support. There's still many months left until February 2020. By then we should see some candidates to drop out.

de Blasio is out. If he’d had supporters, they’d probably be flocking to Warren, but, well. He didn’t.

Trump is now attempting to collude with a foreign government in order to attack Biden.

KYIV—Ukraine is ready to investigate the connections Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden had with the Ukrainian natural-gas company Burisma Holdings, according to Anton Geraschenko, a senior adviser to the country’s interior minister who would oversee such an inquiry.

Geraschenko told The Daily Beast in an exclusive interview that “as soon as there is an official request from the Trump administration, we’ll look into it,” but “currently there is no open investigation.”

“Clearly,” said Geraschenko, “Trump is now looking for kompromat to discredit his opponent Biden, to take revenge for his friend Paul Manafort, who is serving seven years in prison.”

I support Trump, I want to gauge how many Pokémon fans on this forum support him, either like or quote me, please! (sorry if y'all think that I'm trying to get instant likes, that's not my intention)
Hey, in the end, we're all Pokémon fans and that is what brings us all together!
So:
Ash/Pikachu 2020!

Yep, it is a strange that in a pokemon forum, with worldwide members, the 'main thread' topic is about 2020 EUA Elections/National Politics.

I voted for Trump but that was mostly because I really don't like Ted Cruz, I really don't like Hilary, and Bernie Sanders fell through (which was who I was going to vote for). Politics often suck and each person kinda has to choose what they thought was best at the time with the options provided. I'd like to see America hold a election for once that isn't down to one or two democrats and republicans. There are other parties afterall.

You could have also stayed at home instead of voting for a traitor and lunatic like Trump. The ammount of damage Trump has done to democracy and the rule of law will take decades to fix, if it ever be.

Also, I hope you do realize that your original choice, Bernie Sanders, was adamantly against voting for Trump.

Right now Trump is doing his darnest to get himself thrown out of the White House and right into prison.

Text messages between US diplomats and Ukrainians were just now released by House Democrats.

This is some extremely damaging stuff for the Trump administration:
  • 7/9/19 Kurt Volker: Good. Had breakfast with Rudy this morning—teeing up call w/ Yermak Monday. Must have helped. Most impt is for Zelensky to say that he will help investigation—and address any specific personnel issues—if there are any
Explicit Quid Pro Quo.
  • 7/25/19 Kurt Volker: Good lunch - thanks. Heard from White House—assuming President Z convinces trump he will investigate / “get to the bottom of what happened” in 2016, we will nail down date for visit to Washington. Good luck! see you tomorrow- kurt
Explicit Quid Pro Quo.
  • 8/9/2019 Gordon Sondland: Not sure i did. I think potus really wants the deliverable
Appear to be referring to the investigations as "the deliverable"
  • 8/10/19 Andrew Yermak: Once we have a date, will call for a press briefing, announcing upcoming visit and outlining vision for the reboot of US-UKRAINE relationship, including among other things Burisma and election meddling in investigations
Aide to Ukrainian President expressing understanding that publicly announcing election meddling investigations is a condition of a state visit to the US.
  • 8/13/19 Kurt Volker: Special attention should be paid to the problem of interference in the political processes of the United States especially with the alleged involvement of some Ukrainian politicians. I want to declare that this is unacceptable. We intend to initiate and complete a transparent and unbiased investigation of all available facts and episodes, including those involving Burisma and the 2016 U.S. elections, which in turn will prevent the recurrence of this problem in the future.
Volker appears to be suggesting the statement Ukraine should issue, which includes investigating 2016 election meddling.
  • 9/1/2019 Bill Taylor: Are we now saying that security assistance and WH meeting are conditioned on investigations
  • 9/1/2019 Gordon Sondland: Call me
Bill Taylor calling out Sondland on the quid pro quo.
  • 9/8/19 Bill Taylor: The nightmare is they give the interview and don’t get security assistance. The Russians love it. (And I quit.)
Ambassador Taylor threatens to resign after noting the Russians love that aid is being withheld.
  • 9/9/19 Bill Taylor: The message to the Ukrainians (and Russians) we send with the decision on security assistance is key. With the hold, we have already shaken their faith in us. Thus my nightmare scenario.
The quid pro quo is explicitly pro-Russian.
  • 9/9/19 Bill Taylor: As I said on the phone, I think it’s crazy to withhold security assistance for help with a political campaign.
