Anime Anime Dub News

Crunchyroll dives into the archive well once more and this time they've pulled out the 2019 anime series Given which will be dubbed by Studio Nano.

Cast

Crew

  • ADR Director: David Wald
  • ADR Engineer: Peter Hawkinson
  • ADR Script Supervisor: David Wald
  • ADR Writers: Marissa Lenti, David Wald and Madeleine Morris
  • ADR Prep: Jennifer Alyx
  • Production Assistant: Shosuke Akamatsu

If they're dubbing the new Prince of Tennis, I hope they go back and you know dub the old one, too so people who are new to the series know where the show stared?
They have but as of now but it's currently only episodes 51-80. The first 50 (which were dubbed by Salami) are currently still with Viz and are also still up on Hulu.

I imagine once Viz loses the license Sound Cadence will be able to go back to do those episodes.

This week on Prince of Tennis we have Anthony Sardinha, Ray Chase, Daniel J. Edwards and Lucien Dodge back as Takashi, Tsukimitsu, Shuji and Atsukyo.

Joining the series is Daniel Walton, Mike Varker, Thomas G. Burt and Jack Hawkins plus Zach Aguilar plays every single member of the Greek team (the Japanese original also did this)

Meanwhile in other news, the Salami dub for the first 50 episodes of the original series will be leaving Hulu in 13 days.

It's quite likely Viz is going to let the rights lapse after this and this will allow Sound Cadence to eventually go back and do these episodes for their dub of the show.

Rilakkuma's Theme Park Adventure is now up on Netflix.

Same voice director (Wendee Lee) but Michele Knotz is in charge of script adaptation.

Abby Trott replaces Lana Condor as Kaoru and there are plenty of great faces here too such as Erin Fitzgerald, Tom Fahn, Jason Griffith and an even more surprising name - Eddie Frierson.

You don't see Eddie much in anime these days so it's nice to see him here.

Batch two of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean is up on Netflix.

Courtney Sanford voice directs this batch and some new faces include Howard Wang, John Eric Bentley, Christopher Wehkamp, Melissa Fahn, Dino Andrade and also Aaron LaPlante & NY VA Nicolai Gorden in the Additional list.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is now on Netflix.

The dub is done by Salami Studios with their first anime dub for Netflix. Wendee Lee is voice director (Rick Zieff also helps out with a few episodes).

In addition SIDE UK is also one of the two additional recording studios (the other being Southern Sound Services) with both Samuel Barnett and Alec Newman reprising their roles from the game.

Joining Prince of Tennis this week are Dameon Clarke as Alan Hopkins, Jake Paque as Don Pacino, Jovan Jackson as Geisel Jackson and Kieran Regan as Leopold Camus de Charpentier.

Really happy to see Jake and Kieran making their debut to the franchise.

The main cast for Chainsaw Man's dub has been revealed and Ryan Colt Levy's voicing our boi Denji.

So happy for him.

Mike McFarland is voice director.

Interesting. I’ve always loved Mike’s work as voice director, and as you might expect, Ryan’s been getting attention all over Twitter for this role

In what might possibly be the worst piece of English dubbed news this week, Crunchyroll has just announced that Season 3 of Mob Psycho 100 will be moving over to their Texas studio and Kyle McCarley will not be returning to voice Mob.

Kyle explains the reason why in this video he put up a few hours ago.

Some of the VA's joining the franchise are Mike Smith voicing Doan himself, Nicholas Andrew Louie, Gianni Matragrano, Paul Castro Jr., A.J. Beckles, John Omohundro, Elijah Mountjoy, Kimberly Woods and Dawn M. Bennett.
