We will have to wait and be patient. I can stand one month more without insulting Go.

I said that so people wouldn't get their hopes too high through the ceiling. It might be Pokemon related. We simply don't know at this point.

So when is lifted, everything will be back to normal?
The state of emergency was lifted, but that doesn't mean that there isn't any potential danger. I'm not sure how hard the virus has affected Japan or how they've handled it in general, but jumping right back into the swing of things as if everything was still normal would be a bad idea. That could easily lead to another wave. I'm terrified that people are trying to reopen too much too fast, which is a combination of how nervous I can be and how some people absolutely refuse to wear masks or do any social distancing methods. Japan took a long time to take action with the virus too.

This is huge. Where I live is just starting their first phase of reopening, but most people I know, myself included, are not planning on going anywhere for a good long while, even when more things start re-opening. I just don't trust other people. They opened beaches here for the holiday weekend and, big shocker, people went ahead and did everything they weren't supposed to do (no masks, no social distancing, among other things). Doesn't mean the same kind of disregard will happen in Japan, but even small slip ups here or there could be disastrous. The thought of a second wave terrifies me.
Tokyo Gov. Yuriko Koike is now starting a three-stage plan to allow restaurants and eateries to stay open longer and schools to gradually resume classes.
In the first phase, which will likely begin Tuesday, museums and libraries will open while restaurants and eateries will be allowed to stay open until 10 p.m., later than 8 p.m. as permitted under the emergency declaration.
The second phase may begin by the end of the month, metropolitan government sources said, enabling more facilities such as movie theaters and shops selling products other than daily necessities to reopen.
However, karaoke parlors, live music venues and gyms -- places where the risk of group transmission is high -- will be asked to remain closed.
