Apex Shadow Ho-Oh and Lugia, stronger versions of the Shadow Pokémon, to appear in Pokémon GO

Stronger versions of Shadow Ho-Oh and Shadow Lugia, Apex Shadow Ho-Oh and Apex Shadow Lugia, will be appearing in Pokémon GO in conjunction with Pokémon Go Tour: Johto from February 26th.

Trainers who purchased the tickets to the Pokémon GO Tour: Johto, and have completed the event's Special Research, will unlock a new Masterwork Research line, which is designed to be completed over a long period of time. By progressing through this Masterwork Research, Trainers can encounter both of these Legendary Shadow Pokémon. These encounters are not limited by which version, Gold or Silver, that Trainer's selected for Pokémon GO Tour: Johto. Both Apex Shadow Ho-Oh and Apex Shadow Lugia give off an aura that has never been seen before. This aura will change when the Pokémon is purified.

Apex Shadow Ho-Oh knows Sacred Fire+, a stronger version of Sacred Fire, which has 130 power in Trainer Battles and 135 power in Gyms and raids. When Apex Shadow Ho-Oh is purified, Sacred Fire+ will change to Sacred Fire++, which has 130 power in Trainer Battles and 155 power in Gyms and raids.

Apex Shadow Lugia knows Aeroblast+, a stronger version of Aeroblast, which has 170 power in Trainer Battles and 200 power in Gyms and raids. When Apex Shadow Lugia is purified, Aeroblast+ will change to Aeroblast++, which has 170 power in Trainer Battles and 225 power in Gyms and raids.
