During the teaser for the next movie that aired at the end of this year's movie in Japan, an apparent new Pokémon appeared.

Either we're getting new Pokemon in the next Gen VI game or Gen VII really is next.

Think its related to Zygarde. We know the next movie is a Zygarde movie, and already know the monolith thing is related to Zygarde somehow, glowing hexagons and the 5 things that look like "faceless men"

This new blob is green and from the drawing on Serebii, and seems to have a white part on the side.

Could Zygarde be the first legendary to evolve/have a pre evo?

I really don't think Gen 7 will come out next year, surely not?

No one was expecting Gen VI a year or two after B2/W2...and yet...here we are. They also said that they were going to do something different than putting out three versions of the same game with slightly better graphics in the third one so maybe ORAS is the third/forth game this gen. Maybe they're trying not to over saturate the market with the main series pokemon games considering how fast Gen VI happened.

The only thing that is pointing to Gen VII not happening this soon is the fact that Volcarion still hasn't officially been revealed. But then again, the blob, if it is a pokemon and not some movie specific machine, could also be the next Togepi, Munchlax, ETC. and just show up a year or so prior to the next gen.

According to our own Bulbapedia, Zygarde's name is based of garde (french for guard to reflect it as a guardian) and Zygote, which is the zygote is the earliest developmental stage. In single-celled organisms, the zygote can divide asexually by mitosis to produce identical offspring.

Maybe its a prevo of Zygarde, or loads form together to make Zygarde, or maybe its baby Zygarde, not a prevo, just the Zygarde we know grew naturally not by evolution from this thing.

Maybe it's Zygarde in its weaker form, Xerneas is a tree, Yveltal is a Cocoon, maybe Zygarde is this blob Zygote thing. That could be what the Pokedex means when it says it will appear and reveal its secret power, this thing appears, then reveals itself to be the Zygarde we currently know.

Or more likely, the first Pokedex entries (X and OmegaRuby) which reference the secret power refer to this new massive monolith form.
And as someone on another thread said, these blob eye like things could be how Zygarde keeps an eye on the world, ie referencing the second pokedex entries ( Y and Alpha Sapphire)

OMG so many possibilities!

I'm pretty sure they were foreshadowing Diancie, Hoopa, Volcarion, and possibly the tiki thing which isn't from any of the previous regions.

Apparently, someone on Tech Times posted a different sketch from the one on the Bulbapedia article. This version is fairy consistant with the originally provided description, with a few differences:

1. The point on its head points downward, and is on the chin area
2. The bigger eye has the pupil, while the smaller does not
3. Thre is a red object in the middle of the thing's chest. It is unknown if the body is transparent or the red spot is on the surface/skin/fur
