I personally like them. Even if they're just of ordinary objects with no story or meaning behind them, there's something about them that I find interesting, and I appreciate the skill and observation that it takes. That said, I don't like making them, I had to paint a still life for a class a while back and it was a huge pain (hence why I respect those who can actually do it well lol)

preeettyyy far. depending on the weight of the rock, i could get it a couple feet! helps that i spend a lot of my day throwing heavy things, and coincidentally, sometimes i'm moving big rocks! =P
i have to remind myself 5am is not the time to go outside and test how far i can throw a very large rock
