Avatars?

How do you make an avatar. And when I know how to get one, will the copyright dudes go after me?

Nope. Go to your User Conrol Panel, hit Edit Avatar, and select a file from your computer or an IMG link to another file. It has to be 100 x 100 pixels or less, though. You can use Picnik for quick resizing.

.BMP files won't work. Picnik can convert them to a .PNG file so they'll show up. =)

An easier method: Take any png image and crop it to a perfect square (i.e. 350 x 350) and upload it. The forums will resize it automatically, and png files won't lose detail. It's what I do.

Click User CP at the top. On the left side, under "Settings & Options" click Edit Avatar.
