It's the battle of the fully-evolved frog Pokemon!!

Who has the best design?

Who would win?

Who has the coolest typing?

Who do you like best?

I've always liked the Poliwag evolution line, so I picked Poliwrath. It has an interesting typing, and you can use him to counter Tyranitar if you want (Water/Fighting resists dark, rock, and fire moves, conveniently). Plus in X/Y they boosted his attack stat to 95 :D

I would have considered Politoed, but you can't play competitive 5th gen and ever look at Politoed the same again. He was cool before that, but now I just feel disdain.

Interestingly I realized just now that I used Toxicroak and Seismitoad (should be named Amplitoad... I will never let that go...) on Platinum and B1 and W1. I enjoyed using both of them, even though I wish Croagunk wasn't such a pain to level early on and that Seismitoad would learn Earthquake... but I still vote Poliwrath because the poli- family was my favorite for such a long time as a kid.

Though question.
The best design goes to Greninja. Ninja!
Who would win? I say Seismitoad. Both he, Polwrath and Toxicroak can learn fighting moves which eliminates Greninja. Seismitoad can take Toxicroak too, as it is a Ground type. And then the combo with Poison Touch+Drain Punch is very good.
Coolest typing? Seismitoad again. He has the fewest weaknesses.
Like best? Seismitoad or Greninja. hard to decide.

My final preference:

Greninja > Toxicroak > Seismitoad > Poliwrath > Politoed.

On a side note, ironic how Greninja is weak to bug-types despite being a frog.

Really tough choice between Greninja and Toxicroak, as they both look awesome and both served well in my X playthrough.

However I'm gonna choose Toxicroak since Greninja is doing well enough on this already and I have good memories of Toxicroak from a lot of games.

Greninja looks cool, and has the best design, so I picked him. However, he was kind of a disappointment to use, since he doesn't learn any useful Dark-type moves and as you go on in the game his usefulness wears off.

Toss up between Toxicroak and Greninja, but will go with the ninja since I like Dark types.

Toss-up between Toxicroak and Greninja. Toxicroak is one of my favorite pokemon of all time, while Greninja is the first starter I've genuinely liked since gen IV. In the end I think i'll give it to Toxicroak.
Toxicroak has a Unique Typing (yes ik he's 4x weak to psychic)
He also learns more dark type moves than Greninja does, even though he doesn't get stab from them like Greninja. (Faint Attack, Sucker Punch, Nasty Plot, Flatter by level up with Dark Pulse and Payback as TM, While Greninja gets Faint Attack and Night Slash by level with Dark Pulse through TM).
I really really like both of their Designs, and in the end I think Greninja's is better.
But Toxicroak beats Greninja for me.

*Sees one of my favorite Pokemon on the list* Yup, I pick Greninja by default. Nothing against the other Pokemon, but they were never favorites of mine.

I chose Poliwath because of the Pokemon Adventures manga. That's it.

Still not a huge fan of Greninja...

I wanted to vote Poliwrath, but I got hung up on the technicality that he's not really a frog, so I went with Politoed, easily the most adorable of the bunch.

Greninja. Versatile Protean, sleek design, and killer speed all in one. Also, it's unique in the way that it's the only frog with a 3-stage evolution family that doesn't have a tadpole form at any point. Also, out of all of the choices, Greninja is the most fun (for me at last) to draw.
