Bea and Falinks: Did they get added because of popularity?

This is a very niche and specialized question, but why not give it a thread?

So we all know that when Bea first showed up in Jn34, her image had no Falinks. Now with the most recent episode, they showed up. It's a curious omission.

My own guess I had pretty quickly, mostly based on how I think plans in Journeys have shifted around a bit for a number of reasons (Dynamax Band, Gengar and Dazzling Gleam, Z-Ring and Mega Ash, etc), that Falinks was given another cameo/named role not just because Falinks is popular, but Falinks seems to be Bea's most popular Pokemon.



Like seriously, put Bea in google search with any of her Pokemon, and Falinks seems to be the most popular.

I hardly see this as a bad thing, though I am holding my suspicion that this was a change from original plans with Bea in the anime. Thoughts?

I mean I'm not complaining. Falinks is my favorite Galar Pokémon.

Maybe they were added to get me to watch Journeys

I would probably just assume it didn’t appear before because they wanted Goh’s Falinks to be the debut and now it’s here, to give Falinks another appearance (because Goh’s disappeared) and fill out Bea’s team

I think they just chose a team of 6 Pokémon she uses in Sword. Not much more to it.

It’s probably because of Goh. They want the first Falinks in the main anime to be his, if it appeared before Goh’s in the anime, Goh catching it after the whole incident wouldn‘t be too special.
