Beating the Elite Four with just one type

Hi. Was there ever an NPC who presented the challenge of beating the Elite Four with just one type of pokemon at a time, like a team of all normal pokemon? I thought I recalled something like that from Pokemon Diamond.

From Diamond, no. But I think there was a medal for beating the Elite Four with only one type in B2W2.

Also, if I'm remembering correctly, it's one medal for each type.
