"Munrö can stay out if he wants...He obviously doesn't want to come in." she said. She looked over to Alex. "That's a good idea, take it there..." she said, handing him the egg.
Handling the egg with care, I walked to Max's room. I marveled at all the equipment, and tried to discern what was the incubator. I remembered it was in the closet, and opened it. Sure enough, the incubator was still there, and it still worked. I carefully put the egg inside.
"OK then, you do that..." Faere said to Alex. She looked at the others in the room. "Well, what do you all think it'll be? D'you think it'll be a boy, girl, Pichu, Totodile, Hybrid, something completely different? What do you think?" she asked.
"So will I!" Ciôn and Munrö volunteered at the same time. Ciôn wanted to see the new creature being born, even if it was a plain old Pichu, and Munrö was scared the egg would break prematurely and its contents, wither and die without truly knowing life.
Ciôn and Munrö hurried in after Alex.
"I wonder what's inside!" Ciôn said.
"I hope it's ready to come out when it does," Munrö added, scared for his own safety still.
