I suddenly heard a crack. “Shush, everybody, here it comes!” I turned the incubator off, and took the egg out and placed it on the floor. It bounced and cracked a couple times before a pair of feet popped out. Then... another pair of feet?! Two pairs of arms followed, and the two babies attempted to head in different directions, and finally, the egg split in half, a Pichu in each half, both happy to see the world. “Pi!” said the one Pichu. “Chu!” said the other. “Well! A boy and a girl!” said I. “Then, the boy will be Nick, and the girl, Terri. As we agreed on.”
"Aww, hello there my little ones!" she said, stroking the girl, Terri. Faere looked over to Ciôn. "Don't worry, if we have any more, maybe they'll be hybrids!" she said, still stroking Terri.
Terri sqeaked in happiness, as she liked the attention she was getting. Nick seemed a bit jealous, and crossed his arms, humphing, “Chu.” I petted Nick to prevent him from taking the spotlight, and he seemed satisfied.
I picked up Nick, and he looked at me and must've noticed how scary I looked, because he looked slightly nervous, but I knew he wasn't gonna flee. He had my courage! “Don't worry, Nick, I won't hurt you.” With that, I petted him, and that helped him relax.
He accepted Terri, then eyed Fae.
"Are you threatening me?" he asked, suspicious and in a defensively offensive countertone. Not waiting for an answer, he hugged Terri softly so as not to hurt her.
"Hello, Terri!" he said to her. "Welcome to life!"
Sin wandered over to Ciôn and kissed him on the cheek as she looked down at Terri.
"I like you," she said. "No crazy hairstyle going on. Good girl!" She smiled and petted Terri lightly.
Munrö looked in at Nick over Fae's shoulder, wanting him to acknowledge him. After all, they were his generation! They were bound to be friends!
