Munrö wasn't about to take more crap from Fae. He punched the side of her head to make her let go.
"Darkrai. Turned. Moon. Evil." The poor hybrid didn't understand, even after a year, that Darkrai had only used Moon's death as a doorway into Munrö's childhood dreams and pollute them. He had been scarred for at least a few years, and he didn't know any better. As far as he knew, Darkrai had genuinely made Moon chase him and try to eat his brain. And here was Fae defending her and Darkrai?!
Out of fright, he hit her again, smashing her with as much force as he could muster.
"WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM?!" he roared. "STOP DEFENDING THE BAD GUYS!"
Ciôn pushed Munrö back, and Sin pulled Fae away. Each spoke to their combatants at the same time, soothingly.
"Munrö, Moonlight was a close friend of ours for as long as we've been here. You only saw her die, and that must've traumatised you, but she was a good person really."
"Fae, we know Moon was nice, but Darkrai used her death to scare Munrö into trying to break the Wish Stone. A copy of Moon must've been used, so he'd be scared of her. Please, he only turned one yesterday..."
Sin pulled her back with a bit more force and spoke in a stern monitone.
"You're already hurting my child. Fae, he doesn't know any different to what he saw."
"You're child has been born. Mine hasn't. A good punch to my stomach would easily kill it." she said. She turned around, and stormed off to her room. She carefully climbed onto her bed, and started stroking her belly, still crying.
"I won't let anyone hurt you..." she said to the unborn child.
Sin followed Fae as far as her doorframe, against her better judgement, and heard her talking to herself. That comment had smarted.
"I'd be a bit more careful if you're going to keep that promise," she said, not looking into the room. "And don't go giving Munrö ideas. You just scared the life out of him. Try to see it his way, even just for a minute. Plus, you started the fight."
She went out of earshot before Fae could reply.
Sin returned to where Munrö was sat, with Ciôn.
"Don't sweat it, son," she said. "Fae's just being a selfish cow right now. I'm not about to blame you for what happened, but you ought to avoid confrontations in the future."
"But she, in essence, was saying Darkrai was good!"
"Shh, shhh..." she hushed, stroking his head. "We all knew Moon differently. Nobody's view was exactly right. It's not your fault."
