I like them both because of Yellow's Rattata and Bidoof's cry, cute appearance, and the Bidoof from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky.

Bidoof by far. Ever time someone hates on it, it gets a little cuter in my opinion.

Bidoof, by far. Rattata is just a boring purple rat, and bidoof just has a cooler design to me.
Who would win in a battle?
I'm not sure. It could probably go either way, begause they learn moves that are relatively the same. I'm not sure, but because of preference I'm gonna go with Bidoof.

i can tolerate running into tons of them in kanto, but i absolutely hate all the bidoof in sinnoh. bidoof is just so derpy, i really can't even feel anything but hatred for it.

Honestly, guys. Pokemon are all the same. Sentret? Zigzagoon? Bidoof? Patrat? Sure, paint the Ratatta brown, but it's still a Ratatta.
