Welcome everyone to the second week of our speculation competition redux. In the 7th week of our original Black & White speculation contest, we asked you all to guess at who the Villanious Organisation would be, and what their motives would be. In this contest, we're returning to the topic, and asking you to take your best guess about how these will change in Black 2 and White 2.

In every main series Pokémon game to date (and many of the spin-off games too), we've had a villainous group who your character runs into and foils. There's been a large selection of them, so rather than link you to each, here's the list.

Unlike many previous games, this time we've got a fairly strong indication before hearing anything who'll be in it. The Pokédex entries for Genosect that we've seen in the game code indicate that Team Plasma has to be involved somehow, and it's reasonable for us to conclude that the events referred to in those dex entries will occur in the B2W2 plotline. But apart from that, we're as clueless as ever. Will Team Plasma be the only villains in the game? Will they have split, will we see some have reformed? Who would actually be leading the organisation now? There's plenty of questions still unanswered.

So, once again, we'd like you to guess at who the villain team or teams will be (with your best guess at names), what kind of theme those teams would have, and what their goals are. Even if it's Plasma again, that doesn't necessarily mean that they'll have the same goals, so have a good hard think about it.

As before, you're free to make your guesses as outlandish as you like. We've made a few assumptions with how we've written this post here, but you don't have to keep to them. If you think there's going to be no villain teams in the game, or something equally strange, go ahead and say why you think so. At the same time though, keep in mind that it's in your interests to be as precise as possible. Being vague in your answer won't win you any special points. We don't mark you down for what you get wrong, we mark you up for what you get right. Being vague just means you kill your own chances to score points there.

Remember also, while you can discuss things and make as many guesses as you like, only your final guess counts. So if you're the 10th person to suggest the same thing, but the first 9 people changed their minds, and you didn't, then if that ended up being the right answer, you'd win. I hope that's clear enough. If you want to make your guess count, you also need to ensure that you don't edit your post. Doing so will make us simply ignore that post when it comes to figuring out the winners at the end, since it becomes too much of a pain when we have situations where a winner depends on the posting time and who settled on the correct answer first.

This thread will be closed...well, when we feel like it really. Originally we were going to make it at the end of the week, but you know what, I think we may just keep this open right up until the we actually find out what will be in the games. So...no pressure to force yourself, but none of us know when that news will be released, so you probably shouldn't wait too long. ;) When the information is leaked or announced, the thread will be closed immediately, and the closest guess before that happened will win.

It's our intention that this contest thread should not just be a place for everyone to post their guesses for the contest, but also a central place for you to discuss and speculate on this particular point. So don't be afraid to actually post your reasoning and logic here. There's no harm trying to convince everyone else that you're right after all, since it'd just mean that people aren't making different guesses to you, and you'd have the original guess on it anyway. ;)

Good luck everyone!

Re: Black 2 & White 2 Speculation Contest - Week 2: Team Plasma's Plot

This is a very difficult one! I will do my best.

I don't think there will be another evil team besides Team Plasma. Team Plasma will still be involved because they are clearly very important to the story. However, having lost all of their leaders (the Sages all arrested, Ghetsis missing, N run off to another region), they are very disorganized. I figure that something similar to what happened with the Rockets will happen here, which is a few strong-minded Plasma members will step forward to take control, probably trying to follow what they assume was their leaders' intentions. These actions will probably go against what N wants, though perhaps will be in line with what Ghetsis wants.

I'm not sure what their actions will entail, however. I feel that the genesect storyline will be expanded upon, but will still be optional, as genesect will most likely remain an event pokemon. Here I'm picturing something along the lines of the Darkrai storyline from Platinum.

The main storyline will involve Black and White Kyurem, of course. This neo-Plasma will be trying to revive the original dragon, and assume that they can do so through Kyurem. Along the way, they are basically terrorizing trainers to try and get them to give up their pokemon, and sometimes outright stealing pokemon from trainers. They will discover, or partially discover, the means of awakening it and making it take on the energy of Zek or Resh, but will essentially fumble it. N and the player will be present at this time, and will probably have to battle whoever the leader of neo-Plasma is before getting to the angered Kyurem. Kyurem will then take the energy from N's dragon. At this point, neo-Plasma is defeated. This will probably once again be very close to the first E4 challenge.

Re: Black 2 & White 2 Speculation Contest - Week 2: Team Plasma's Plot

-Ghetsis revives Plasma and structures the team in a similar fashion to previous teams, making the Triad administrators.
-N creates Neo-Plasma now that everyone sees the crook that Ghetsis is.
-3 of the sages want to follow N's side as the truth will be revealed, ie he was used by Ghetsis who is not his real father, and the other sages feel Ghetsis' ideals are far more important.
-In both games they want to revive the original dragon but fail. As N has the respective dragon for the formes in both games a truce of sorts would go down in the end, but the result would be Black Kyurem in black and White Kyurem in White.
-The failure comes in the fact that they follow instructions of how to summon the original dragon which are found in N's cube, which is the reason of truce as Ghetsis has the Key to it, but they lack the requirements to properly summon it.
-In the end, after capturing the failed Pokemon, Zekrom/Reshiram reverts to their respective stone forms due to a lack of energy.

Re: Black 2 & White 2 Speculation Contest - Week 2: Team Plasma's Plot

I think they will focus on Team Plasma after the events of Black and White.
Predictions:
-The player will encounter Ghetsis on the run.
-The player will travel to the region N fled too.
-Anthea and Concordia will play a larger role.
-The Shadow Triad's identities are revealed.
-There will be more information on N's backstory (parents, childhood)

Re: Black 2 & White 2 Speculation Contest - Week 2: Team Plasma's Plot

My two predictions:

1.
You get a key item named Juniper's letter via wi-fi. It says that you should head back to Nuvema town. Once there the Professor would send you to rt.1 and to P2 lab where Team Plasma might be doing something.
Once you get there you have to defeat a bunch of generic grunts, scientist which first revives Genesect and then Plasma admin. Then you capture Genesect and Juniper comes saying that she had found something connected to Genesect inside the lab. Then she presents you the cassettes. Also P2 lab will be bigger and, obviously you'll have to have HM Surf to activate it.

2.
N dies. He realises his father's plans and tries to stop him,but one of the dragons (probably Kyurem) kills him. Then, once you defeat Ghetsis, the original dragon sees N's compassion for Pokemon and revives him.

Re: Black 2 & White 2 Speculation Contest - Week 2: Team Plasma's Plot

Team Plasma will be almost non existent. N will return and try to regroup Team Plasma. He still believes that people and Pokemon should be liberated from each other, and so, he returns to try and make that dream come true. He discovers Kyurem, and thinks that it will help him fulfill his dreams. He later discovers that Kyurem can merge with his dragon (Reshiram in White 2, Zekrom in Black 2) with the God Stone. He has Team Plasma find and take the God Stone, and then heads to the Giant Chasm. When you get there, N has captured Kyurem and merged it with his dragon (Reshiram in White 2, Zekrom in Black 2). He flies off before you can stop him. N challenges the champion (just like in the last game), and defeats him. You come in to stop him, and eventually defeat him. N eventually has a change of heart, realizing that people and Pokemon shouldn't be liberated. He gives the God Stone to you, and releases Kyurem (which can be found later at the Dragonspiral Tower). He says that he will start a new life with his Pokemon friends, and leaves.

I imagine the Genesect plot to be an event exclusive thing (like with the Liberty Pass and Victini). A small group of scientist and some Plasma grunts are trying to revive Team Plasma on their own by creating Genesect. It backfires, and Genesect won't obey them and starts attacking them. You come just in time to 'save them' and capture Genesect in the process.

Re: Black 2 & White 2 Speculation Contest - Week 2: Team Plasma's Plot

Team Plasma is disbanded. The Shadow Triad has expanded into an organisation/group. Unlike Team Plasma, the Shadow Group don't have a reason for their evil acts, they just want to take over Unova, similar to Team Rocket. They cut power to Nimbasa City and you have to defeat an admin in a mission after you beat Clay (therefore switching the gym order). They use one of the Kyurem forms to terrorise Lacunosa Town, which you can travel to before you beat the league. Genesect will now be available in game (I hope), again in the P2 Lab. But only after you have completed the main story, and you are given no incentive to go there, similar to Mewtwo.
Also, the Shadow Triad (who now lead this group) are not the Striaton gym leaders, and their true identities are never revealed in the game.
And Concordia and Anthea are revealed to be N's sisters, and they give you information throughout the game to help stop the Shadow Group. After the game, N returns to Unova and takes his sisters with him, back to the region he left for at the end of BW.

Re: Black 2 & White 2 Speculation Contest - Week 2: Team Plasma's Plot

-Ghetsis is the main villain again, and has some followers, but does not lead a group as large as the original Team Plasma.
-The Shadow Triad reveals their identities
-N is on your side and tries to help you defeat Ghetsis
-Anthea and Concordia will be more important
-The rest of the sages will be in captivity for at least part of the game

Re: Black 2 & White 2 Speculation Contest - Week 2: Team Plasma's Plot

-Team Plasma will try to regroup with Ghetsis as their leader.
-N will not appear for quite some time.
-TP will attempt to use Kyurem to defeat N's Pokemon.
-Genesect will have some sort of story but nothing big as it will just be an event.

Re: Black 2 & White 2 Speculation Contest - Week 2: Team Plasma's Plot

I think for B2/W2 this is what will happen:
-You will have to find Ghetsis, who is on the run and defeat him.
-Team Plasma will still be around and you will battle them and so forth.
-You will team up with N, who has turned against Ghetsis and help N confront him.
-You will learn about N's past and about his puzzle cube.
-The Shadow Triad's identities will be revealed, you may battle them.
- Athea and Concordia will get a bigger story.

Re: Black 2 & White 2 Speculation Contest - Week 2: Team Plasma's Plot

It won't be all of Team Plasma. It will only be Ghetsis, assisted by the Shadow Triad, who is after Kyurem in one last desperate attempt to take over Unova. Ex-Team Plasma members may appear, but they will no longer be associated with the group.

Re: Black 2 & White 2 Speculation Contest - Week 2: Team Plasma's Plot

-The organization itself will not be there because it has been disbanded.
-N and the two women in N's castle will be supporting protanginists.
-Ghetsis will inact his plan with help of the shadow triad be it to take over Unova or get revenge
-There will be another organization possibly having Ghetsis as its secret leader or having a leader with connections to Ghetsis. The plot probably involving them double crossing each other.
-The main character from the last game will be a villian or a target of the villian.
-The orbs will a least be mentioned in the game

Re: Black 2 & White 2 Speculation Contest - Week 2: Team Plasma's Plot

Ghetsis comes forth with plans to summon Kyurem and rebuilds Team Plasma with the grunts that were in it for evil reasons (not the well-intentioned Pokemon rights activists). He's the full-blown leader (but claims it's only temporary), with the other sages as the admins (if they weren't already). The sages are released or escape from prison (with the Shadow Triad's help?) Trainers get harassed and stolen from by grunts. Ghetsis manages to get a hold of Kyurem and starts wreaking havoc (freezing the place, anyone?)

N returns to Unova with his dragon after hearing of Neo-Plasma's antics. He's horrified to find how they're treating Pokemon. The grunts find out and demand their king back so the team can REALLY restart. N teams up with the player character to stop the grunts, including tag battles. Somewhere along the way, Kyurem absorbs the energy from N's dragon and changes forme, and the player catches it during a heated time of battles. The ex-grunts that were Pokemon activists support N. His cube gets solved and plays a role in solving the problem. The sages are battled along with Ghetsis. After everything's finished, Ghetsis and the sages are arrested and put away for good.

N befriends the player character for showing him more about human social lives and says they were the first human he could consider as a "friend". He gives the player a Zorua egg after the main story and is rebattleable, healing your team before and after. N also lets the player catch his dragon because he trusts them.

Anthea and Concordia have a much bigger role and N's backstory will be further elaborated. If they're not the Shadow Triad, then the Striaton Brothers will show up at a crucial point and help stop Plasma. (redeeming themselves after not being there the first time) The Genesect event is unrelated to the main story; it will serve a role similar to the Victini on Liberty Island incident.

I don't think there will be any other villian not related to Plasma.

Re: Black 2 & White 2 Speculation Contest - Week 2: Team Plasma's Plot

-More N backstory and fleshing out of his character. As well as more explanation of his motives and reasons for doing what he did. We'll learn more about his childhood being raised by wild Pokemon and Ghetsis taking him under his wing.
-The Seven Sages will have a more prominent role as well as the women, N's care takers I think, Anthea and Concordia.
-Team Plasma will appear more often then before.
-N's full name, Natural Harmonia Gropius will be revealed in-game.
-The Shadow Triad's motives will be explained as well as how Ghetsis "saved" them thus they feel they owe Ghetsis.
-The Musketeer Trio, a.k.a Virizion, Cobalion, and Terakion, will play a role or be mentionedd in Team Plasma's plot as being Pokemon that don't trust humans and such and Team Plasma will make references to them, N specifically.
-Genesect plot or event in the future, somehow involving Team Plasma.
-We learn more about Ghetsis's life, outside of being a "mad man" and that he actually did care about N to an extent.
-Kyurem will be Team Plasma's main target as the "remains" of the original dragon they'll need it because it represents equally "ideals" and "truth" the two things Zekrom and Reshiram represent. Or at least an item to minipulate Zekrom or Reshiram.
-The player will try to catch Kyurem.
-Professor Cedric Juniper will play a prominent role giving the character information.

Re: Black 2 & White 2 Speculation Contest - Week 2: Team Plasma's Plot

Cilan, Chili and Cress are the Shadow Triad. They are actually evil masterminds hellbent on... evil.
At the end of the game, inspired by Black and White Kyurem, they merge into the ultimate team leader: Rhubarb Pie.
The player will have to engage in a tag battle with N to have any hope of defeating the monstrosity and its Pokemon.

Re: Black 2 & White 2 Speculation Contest - Week 2: Team Plasma's Plot

There's too much potential to make up my mind!

So, Plasma is kinda screwed. Their King renounced their mission, and their leader is on the lam. I doubt N would try to reform Team Plasma, even after seeing the error of his ways. His farewell implies that he's never quite gotten to make his own choices, so I say he's going to go out and live his own life for a change. And returns near the end of the story in a supporting role.

Ghetsis might not even have the courage to show his face around the others now that the cat's out of the bag and they all know what his true purpose for them was. I'm gonna say that if Plasma comes back at all, G puts the Shadow Triad in charge secretly -perhaps without their knowing it, even- to continue pulling what little strings he has left. This is although I highly doubt Plasma would make a significant return.

And I don't think the protagonist from B/W would be an antagonist this time around. While it does make for a good story, it just doesn't sound like something Pokémon would do.

Then again, most of what they've been doing lately doesn't. Who knows? We're probably all going to be wrong.

Re: Black 2 & White 2 Speculation Contest - Week 2: Team Plasma's Plot

There will be a new team, but it will still be led by Ghetsis, his goal will be revenge for what happened in Black/White, Genesect will be like Mewtwo in the first games, there will be mentions that it was created by Team Plasma but will have to real involvement in the story. Ghetsis will some how gain control of Kyurem-B/W and the player will have defeat Kyurem to free it. The Shadow Triad will be around to battle the player in different ways (single, double, triple, rotation) throughout the game, a little bit like team rocket in yellow.

Re: Black 2 & White 2 Speculation Contest - Week 2: Team Plasma's Plot

Let's see...

OK, if we're so sure that TP's going to be back this time around (though there really are good reasons for them going here), my money's on that they are not actually disbanded in the usual sense. Even though it's mostly gone, who knows what that one guy Ghetsis has on his mind... He's not normal in any sense, and his whereabouts are unknown right now. How in the world did he get the orbs belonging to Sinnoh legends anyway? This bears a lot, a lot of investigation.

Re: Black 2 & White 2 Speculation Contest - Week 2: Team Plasma's Plot

Since B2W2 is probably a sequel, it's most likely going to be following the plot after BW.

1. Team Plasma will split into five groups - Ghetsis, N, the two goddesses, Shadow Triad, and Sages. The grunts are scattered, and can be found here and there.
2. Looker asks you to find Ghetsis, and that's your ultimate goal.
3. You collect clues and hints as to where Ghetsis might be. (the routes differ black and white)
4. You meet the sages on the way and battle them - they give you items, and give you hints on N and Ghetsis' backstory. Looker arrests them one by one. Same goes to Shadow Triad - but you get to battle them three-on-three. They give you the orbs.
5. At some point, you'll meet the two goddesses, and (for some mysterious reason) they have powers to show you N's past.
6. You enter the "dungeon" called 'N's childhood memories', and from there you travel through hidden places of N's Castle, and learn the truth behind N and Ghetsis. You'll be following ghostly figures of little N, Ghetsis, and the two goddesses. Wild pokemon will appear, but you can't catch them.
7. After you clear the dungeon, the goddesses will tell you where N is.
8. You go find N, and battle him one-on-one against him. Assuming Black2 is the sequel of Black, N will have Zekrom in Kyurem version.
9. He'll mention a project on Genosect. After that, he'll fly away.
10. Go to the P2Lab. You'll find Ghetsis with Genosect. Battle him. (He'll be there only after you battle N)
11. N will appear in the lab, and a cut scene will follow. Looker bursts in and Ghetsis is arrested.
12. Ghetsis will leave Genosect in the lab and N will tell you that you are free to take it or not.
13. N will leave - but you'll occasionally hear about him when you talk to the television.
14. During the whole process, you'll battle leveled-up Team Plasma Grunts.

END of my prediction XDD

Re: Black 2 & White 2 Speculation Contest - Week 2: Team Plasma's Plot

Time to stand for a completely different idea.

Like every other sequel, the game will be set at the time of Pokémon Black and White. Team Plasma will have been to Lacunoso town and found the meteor which contained Kyurem. Then they find the God Stone, having an idea of what it is, but not being 100% sure. Ghestis will then steal the God Stone and study it to see if he can work out how to awaken it. The player (after getting about 7 badges) will go to N's Castle with the Dark Stone (White 2) or Light Stone (Black 2), where they will find N protecting the God Stone. The player will battle N, and after defeating him will take the God Stone, which will then merge with the Light Stone/Dark Stone and awaken to form Black Kyurem (White 2) or White Kyurem (Black 2). The player will have to catch Kyurem to calm it down, and then fight Ghestis, angry with N for not protecting the God Stone. Then Team Plasma will disband and N, realising that Ghestis wanted the power of Kyurem to be the only person with a Pokémon, will head off far away, awakening Zekrom (Black 2) or Reshiram (White 2), and flying far off.

I can't believe the God Stone isn't more important for most people.:-/

EDIT: Why is everybody fixed on Genesect? It is an event Pokémon, and no other event Pokémon has been released outside of events. It is probably just part of a sidequest or sub-project of Team Plasma, and won't have anything to do with the main story.
