"They can also take the weight of twice the people in this room put together and not break last time I checked," Lovo pointed out before turning towards Gabriel. "Do you seriously think these cells would be here if they were that easy to break out of?"

Lyra turned to Nova for a moment. "Are you okay?"

Kai looked at Hazel and then turned to Leon before sighing. "Fine...I'll go with you guys," he nodded his head, his shoulders slouching in disappointment. "But I'm not happy abotu it."

"Good. We can't afford to lose anyone else right now" Leon said before he moved his hands to rest on the shoulders of Kai and Hazel, closing his eyes as his mind focused on the location of the academy. Moments later, he took a deep breath before the three of them vanished in a flash of red light. Moments later, they appeared outside of the academy in a similar flash.

Damien glanced at Lovo. "Wait have you been here before?" He asked thr older man curiously.

Hazel simply rolled her eyes in response and allowed Leon to teleport the group to the Cyborg Academy. It was her first time being teleported, so the whole experience was quite interesting.

Lovo looked at Damien for a moment before sighing. "I was a member of Zero myself once," he explained before standing up.

"Lovo here was my superior actually, so of course he would know how these cells work," Jason pointed out respectfully as he turnd toward Lovo. "At least until he quit being a Bounty Hunter."

***

"It feels a lot different from the way aunt Sakura does it," Kai commented after being teleported by Leon. He had to admit he felt a little nervous, mostly because he didn't know if the people in the Cybog Academy would be willing to help. Either way he turned towards the tall skyscraper once more, noticing that the sun had already begun going down.

After Hazel had contacted Dr. Vallemonte the woman went down to pick them up and took them back up to her consult room in the building's check up wing, making sure to keep the three of them hidden from sight. "I guess it was just a matter of time till the BHA interfered, they tend to get a little interested in certain members of our guild from time to time too," the doctor pointed out as she gave each Knight Void's member a cup of tea. "I think I can at least request for our guild to try and chat with them and see if they can clear you guys."

"I still don't get exactly what the whole deal is with this, why are they going after us now," Kai frowned.

"Don't know," the woman shrugged. "But they probably won't do anything to the others as long as they don't cause trouble."

This situation was bad. Nova, having taken off his helmet, sat down with his head back on the wall in thought. However, he couldn't push down the feeling of... happiness he had. They were imprisoned, yes, but with his powers nullified he was actually able to feel his skin. There was no extraneous heat... no feeling of headache.

But, he knew that things rarely worked out that well. "Our powers... are any of you familiar with this type of nullification?"

"Well I don't know too much about how this work, it's reall a type of technology thatonly the BHA uses," Lyra replied hesitantly. It was true that the cuffs that could nullify powers as well as the special cell they were in were things that onl the BHA had a hang of, not even letting the authorities of the world know of how they work or could be replicated. "If we could find a way to figure out how it works maybe we can help your condition."

"My condition..." Nova echoed, his voice noticeably lower. "Right..." Of course he knew that this was only a temporary satisfaction. If they were freed, he would be right back to where he started. Lyra did have a point - maybe this could help his constant leaking of radiation. He let himself fall silent before speaking once more.

"Let's focus on getting out of here," he said, looking at her. That was only hope spot that he needed at the moment.

Leon drank some of his tea, his mind a tangled mess of confusion and concerns. The events from the last day or two had been extremely chaotic, even by his standards. Furthermore, it was nothing short of a miracle that Leon himself hadn't lost control, as there were already two instances where it'd come dangerously close to activating his Battle Fever. Collectively this made it hard for Leon to focus at all, and after a moment he set the cup down, eyes closed in thought for a moment before he spoke.

"Thank you for the hospitality. These last few days have been a nightmare. But, in the event that the BHA decides to look for us here when the Academy voices an objection to their arrests, what would you do?"

The news of the BHA's actions had hit Tara hard. The message she had gotten from her son, telling her to backup any data collected from his armor, was already enough to make her worry. Then, she heard of the ransacking of their base, and the arrests being made. The shock was enough to make her leave her work halfway, especially so when the escaped members of the Void Knights were said to be there.

She came to check in on them immediately, only to find three of them; none of them her son. However much anxiety she had been going through beforehand, it now skyrocketed. "Has Adrian been...?"

"Thank you," Hazel said, accepting the tea. "I'm still confused about everything. I've been gone for a while and still need to catch up."

"I doubt the BHA will try anything considering the Academy's large influence," Dr. Vallemonte pointed out as she sat down and began sipping from her tea. "If they do come then it'll be our best chance to negotiate," she pointed out before she saw Tara walking into the room, a solemn expression crossing her face.

Kai remembered Tara after having seen her the other day at the cafe, espcially how close she and Nova were. "I'm sorry," he shook his head as guilt washed over him. "Nova was captured along with most of the others."

While this happened the doctor turned towards Hazel. "Well I'm not surprised, you were so focused on your training after all," she nodded her head. "Basically the recent spike of normal people developing abilities and causing trouble for the BHA has caused a lot of trouble, there's protests against Skill users too and that has also hit the BHA hard," she explained silently. "Not just that but it seems like some of your members, including Kai here are considered possible eventual threats to the BHA, normally they'd ignore it but in a situation where they have to make sure that nothing bad happens I'm assume they're covering their bases, especially after what happened last night at the cafe."

"Well, I wonder how we'll get out," Lyra pointed out nervously.

Leon sighed, the news of Nova's capture darkening the already bleak situation. For all intents and purposes, it seemed that the three of them were the only ones who had evaded capture. Setting his tea down for a moment, Leon took a deep breath before quietly asking another question, a hint of fear audible as he spoke.

"And what if they try to do it by force? I know it's not likely that the BHA would authorize it, but to be completely honest the same could be said about their manhunt. If anything, they should have been there to help us when our cafe was eradicated by two rogue assailants. At this point, we can't assume the BHA is acting within the constraints of a logical mind."

The rain was falling in Neo Vegas. Juliet hated the rain, so it was typical that it would be pouring on today of all days, one of her last days.

It's not far from here. Promise. Her father's voice in her mind had lost its ability to comfort her long ago. Mostly because her father had revealed the truth of so many things to her while they had traveled, the confessions of a madman to his dying daughter.

"I don't even remember the last time I saw my aunt, how do you know she'll even recognize me?" Juliet said quietly. It had been over a decade.

Our mental signatures. There are only three people on the planet who have brains like us. You, me and my sister. Jack's reply was not helpful. He had a propensity to be rather vague. She'll feel the familial connection between you and herself. It's one of the ways your mother was able to keep track of you all these years... no matter how you tried to hide, she would be able to feel you and me... her baby girl and her love.

"Mom has shit taste in men." Juliet remarked, having no idea just how accurate this statement was.

I... shit.

Leaving her dad speechless was definitely worth the price of admission. Before he could retort (or Juliet could twist the knife further), they had arrived. Gulping nervously, she knocked the door.

"Tava... is that you out there?" Jack was right. He hadn't even needed to warn his sister telepathically. A blonde woman rushed out to greet Juliet, pulling her into a crushing hug. They were practically spitting images of each other, the only differences being the older woman's age and her eyes were sky blue.

"Auntie Amber." Juliet returned the embrace. "It's good to see you."

Sis, we don't have much time. Is my wife here yet? Jack asked desperately.

"Not yet." Amber answered as the pair went inside. "I know we don't have time for me to lecture you... but your daughter Jack, your daughter."

If I had known my experiments would pass down my instabilities to my children... I never would have done it. Jack said sadly.

"Tava honey, grab yourself a seat on the couch. Once your mother gets here we'll get started." Amber instructed.

At that moment Sakura appeared before them, her eyes looking up for a moment as she realized it was raining. She liked the rain. She then turned towards Juliet and Jack, a serious expression on her face. "So...are we ready?" she asked before going to embrace her daughter.

***

"Well I guess that could also be a point but they probably wouldn't go that far off," Dr. Vallemonte pointed out as she finished what remained of her tea. "They would be involving the public unnecisarily."

***

At that moment Jason turned towards the door leading into the cells, noticing that one of the guards was walking inside and towards them. "Visiting hours are over. You will have to leave for today," the guard stated, doing a salute as he kept up a perfect stoic face.

"All right, thank you," Jason nodded his head politely before beginning to walk.

The guard turned towards the incarcerated group, causing Lovo to raise his eyebrow in confusion. Then suddenly he saw the guard slide a security card on a sensor nearby, causing the cell doors to open. "You can go free now," he stated with a smirk.

"Wait what?" Lovo stood up, feeling his energy return to him as he looked at the man in confusion.

"I'm Len, a member of the Moonfang Assassins," the guard pointed out with a playful smile. "I can take over other's appearances, it works like this."

At that moment Chrome came out of the wall on the other side, Felicity in his arms so that she could go through walls with him. "We've come to rescue you."

Nova's eyes widened, as he stepped out of the cell. "Th-thank..." then, he felt the burning sensation once more. To say that his mood plummeted would be an understatement. "Thank you."

Tara clenched her fist, looking down to avoid showing the tears threatening to spill. "I-I see..."

Realizing that Lovo and the others would need an explanation, Rick decloaked himself so his captured guildmates could see him. "I'm glad all of you are okay." He said quietly. "I realized during the attack that we were outgunned so I stayed cloaked. Once they left the bakery, I revealed myself and asked for their aid." Rick explained. "You all know I've never been much of a talker, but apparently, it was enough..." He trailed off, realizing that he was rambling. "We don't have much time, let's get moving."

Juliet looked at her mother and smiled sadly. "As ready as I'm ever going to be." She said quietly from the couch.

"Now sweetie, this is going to feel... odd... but it shouldn't hurt too much." Amber said to Juliet reassuringly before turning to Sakura. "As long as everything goes to plan, all we're going to need from you is a bit of power that Jack's going to siphon himself." She promised.

In theory. Jack's usual disclaimer. I'm about ninety percent sure that I did all the calculations right.

Taking a deep breath, Juliet nodded and Amber closed her eyes. If any PSI users were in the area, they would begin to feel massive surges of energy from the three women in the room. A blinding white light lingered in the room for what seemed to be like an eternity and then...

"Amazing. Simply amazing." Jack said, back in his own body for the first time in nearly a decade. He looked over at the mirror and sighed. While most of him looked as he had in his prime, his blonde hair had gone silver. "I suppose I couldn't be completely lucky with..." Jack cut himself off as he looked down at his hands. "Oh god." He whispered as he snapped his fingers.

"Dad!" Any more musing was interrupted by Juliet pulling her father into a tight embrace.

The thought of getting out made Mordic have mixed feelings. On one hand, she'd have her skill back. On the other, she would continue to thirst for souls, something she wasn't ever going to look forward to. Walking past the assassins, she murmured a thank-you and now felt the separate minds of the demon and wendigo returning to her humane mind. It was now giving her an immense headache.

Felicity leaped from Chrome's arms and into her brother's. "Never been more happy to see you," Gabriel told her.

"And you are in trouble for worrying me. How did you get captured?"

"Giving some of the others time to escape. Chrome. What now though? They'll come after us again so how are we getting out of this whole mess?" Gabriel looked up at the man.

"You could've stepped up to help but I can understand why you didn't at least," Lovo sighed, putting his hands on his waist as he looked at Rick and then at the Assassins. "You did a good job Rick."

"It'll be fine," Lyra reassured Nova and Mordic, knowing that the two were probably not to thrill to have recovered their powers like that.

"Oh....I have no idea," Chrome laughed innocently before crossing his arms. "Well I'm just kidding though," he nodded his head before turning towards the door. "We can just sneak back out," he said before turning to Knight's Void. "Since you guys have been let out of the cell I assume you'll be able to make your own exit," he grinned.

"That won't be necessary," Chrome turned around, noticing Jason walk back into the room, causing him to put his guard up. "Don't worry, we'll actually need you guys."

***

Sakura sighed, relieved that everything had gone all right and that at least Juliet would be okay for now. "Well, how are you feeling?" she asked as she patted Juliet's back carefully.

***

"We'll rescue him and the others man," Kai reassured as he turned to Tara. "I promise that," he nodded his head, only to hear Dr. Vallemonte's tv increase in volume.

"Look at this," the doctor stated, shock plastered on her face as she pointed towards the screen. The screen showed what seemed to have been a protest rally againsts Skill Users due to the recent trouble with the rise of skill crime. At least that's what the reports originally showed until the image changed to show people running around in a panic as multiple attacks and skill users appeared on the screen, destroying buildings and attacking civilians.

"It must be those fake Skill Users," Kai gritted his teeth as he looked at the TV. "I can't believe they actually went for an all out attack like this."
