"Do we still have the trilogy?" Nova asked Juliet. He remembered them deciding to do away with a lot of DVDs at one point. "I couldn't find them at the cafe."
Juliet nodded. "I'd never throw those away on you." She told Nova with a smile. "And Mom... I really hope you let Dad pick the hotel." Juliet muttered. Mom and Dad had very different definitions as to what 'acceptable accommodations' for their daughter were.
"Well I mean...we're pretty strong," Kai pointed out, looking at the others. 'I'm sure a couple of thugs is nothing....right? also wow," he said the last part in amazement and disgust at hearing about the dead rat.
"It'll be fine guys," Sakura waved her hand dismissively. "You'll just be staying at an abandoned warehouse, it's not that bad, that's how the Slayers started."
"You're not serious right?" Kai asked, he would really believe it from Sakura.
"Nah I'm kidding, but you guys can't really pay a fancy hotel in Estelar and the BHA isn't doing it either," she added with a shrug. "So I just called a friend that lives there."
Juliet raised an eyebrow. "Mom have you seen my bank account lately?" She muttered. "I'm pretty flush with cash right now. This job has been good to me." Juliet was of course lying her ass off. Her savings didn't come from her bounty hunting. That was her shopping money, which of course was nearly always tapped.
Juliet rolled her eyes. "Hey as expensive as my clothes are... I don't touch my pre-guild savings. Real estate investments and a couple stock portfolios and a few long term CDs..." She trailed off, realizing that this was a rather boring topic.
