Nova walked into the Starbucks, holding up a small boy by the back of his shirt.

"Oi, let me go, pendejo!" He yelled, trying to struggle.

The armored male just stared down at him for a moment before looking around. "Are the local authorities here? There are six unconscious men outside."

Juliet looked up at Nova. "I'm not even going to ask." She told him with a sweet smile. She paused for a moment and sighed. "It does seem the local authorities are here. But honey, don't get involved. This is not the kind of towns where we want to trust the cops. I don't know what this boy did, but whatever it is... it's not worth us getting involved."

"That guy was almost as bad... Almost as bad as..." Ammy glanced uneasily at her older twin. "As... you know who."

Rick nodded, placing a comforting hand around Ammy's shoulders. She didn't have to say anymore.

"He and those men tried to rob me," Nova responded.

The child said something possibly belligerent in Spanish. Nova bonked him over the head.

"Shut it," he said.

"Tried." Juliet noted with a sweet smile as she put her laptop away. "I'll knock him out, leave a note on him and let the cops sort him out. Fair?" She asked Nova as she finished her coffee. "Also I came to realize this isn't the real thing. A knockoff. Because this latte was garbage." Rolling her eyes, she frowned. "First thing I'm doing when we get to Bria's apartment is shopping for nice coffee..." She trailed off.

"Do you think they grow their own cocoa beans here?" Nova asked.

"Juliet come over here," Sakura said as she pulled the woman along with Bria into the cab.

Kai looked around, noticing that Nova and Juliet were gone. 'Ugh, where are those two now?" he said with exasperation, taking out his phone to text them the address.

The group left the airport and finally headed into the city. Due to this they were able to get a better look at the city layout as a whole, which did stand a bit more with what was usually said about the city. At first it seemed normal, if maybe a little deteriorated but then unfinished and dirty beaten down buildings started coming into view, streets surrounded with street stalls and that seemed to not have been cleaned in quite a while along with people walking around without any regard for traffic or the like, they even drove by a bus that seemed to be twenty years old, filled to the brim, with people hanging from the windows as it moved, this couple with hordes of people gathered around supermarkets to try and see what they could find.

It was certainly a different experience for both Kai and Liza, even though poverty and lack of control wasn't an unusual thing for many cities of the South Continent. These trend continued as they drove by, the area eventually replaced by lanmarks like stadiums or parks, which also looked deteriorated or completely surrounded by weeds.

Eventually they made it to a more normal looking area, the houses were replaced by larger apartment buildings and complexes, food stalls and small establishments gave way to chain and fancy restaurants and stores and metal houses were taken over by offices, supermarkets and malls, though the streets also became lined with overwhelming traffic and the streets still looked worse for wear.

But eventually they made it to Bria's apartment building, with Sakura paying for all of teh groups' cars as they got off. "Well that was...an experience," Liza commented in thought.

"I sent the address for where we were to Nova and Juliet," Kai pointed out before taking a picture of the building to send it to the too. "And yeah, I can see why this place had so much rumors surrounding it, but at least this area seems normal."

"Seems. 'Seems' normal." Yui repeated skeptically, shaking her head at him. "Not a whole lot of cities are 'normal', Kaito-nii."

Hazel rested her head back, eyes closed the whole entire time. A lot had happened, and a lot would.

Ant frowned. He never liked Estelar.

"You know what I mean," Kai commented as he glanced at the girl. "Also, don't stray off," he instructed towards the girl, gesturing for her to stay close as they got out. "When and where are the prelims taking place anyway aunt Sakura?" he asked curiously.

"In a few days," Sakura replied, looking at her phone as she notced a few people looking at them from afar. "It's gonna be held in one of the city's arenas, I'll look up which later."

"Home sweet home I assume," Bria muttered with a semi-sad sigh as she grabbed the keys to her apartment door. She walked up the stairs and unlocked the door before opening it. Everything was still in place before she left. She'd probably have to throw food out in the garbage though since most of it would have to be expired. Especially the stuff that was in the refrigerator. The walls were a plain white, and she had a hardwood floor. She had different paintings on the wall and basic furniture. The couch could easily turn into a bed as well. Her main bedroom had a queen sized bed while the guest room had a simple twin sized bed. There wasn't really all that much room for them all. However, it beat the metal apartment place.

"Also, we're going to need to go grocery shopping," she spoke up, "I've been gone for weeks so I doubt the food in my fridge is good anymore."

"Well," Mordic began casually, "at least you'll have to cook for one less person. Considering I don't really eat food."

"After everyone including myself here gets a shot on my ex, want to eat his soul?" Bria suggested, "I'll even celebrate when you do."

"It's a rather nice place," Kari commented.

"That would be absolutely lovely." Mordic replied with a smile and a pleasant demeanor, as if they were discussing the weather outside.

Rick had dropped into stealth. He wanted to get a lay of the land once they arrived. If Bria's ex was as much of a threat as they all thought, he wanted to be prepared. Which meant scouting the surrounding blocks. Rick was back in his element now. A seedy urban environment. It's where he had learned the skills that made him into the man he was today.

After convincing Nova that staying around for the cops to shake them down wasn't the best use of their time or money, Juliet had also persuaded him that they should get lunch together before meeting up with the others. It had been truly difficult to convince him of this of course. Given that Juliet had rushed him out of the airport, she'd let him pick what they'd get. And since Nova had settled on a taco salad, Juliet had gotten to work on finding a place. Using the ability to scan minds all around them, Juliet had soon steered the couple to a food truck that had been a quick warp away. Apparently it was well known as a hidden gem in the downtrodden city. After getting Nova his lunch and getting a couple of empanadas for herself, she brought the pair to a park bench nearby to eat. "You know, this city isn't so bad. Sure it's got some downsides, but there's some charm to it too." She mused.

"At least you'll finally get something to control yourself with," Kai commented at his sister as he looked around the apartment. "We could also get some blankets while we're at it, I don't mind sleeping on the floor but a blanket might help with that," he said.

"It's quaint," Liza commented, smiling at Bria. "You have a lovely home Bria."

"Let me at that creep before you eat his soul," Ant said. It was worded as a joke... but, it was obviously not a joke.

"I miss having my own place. We've been on the run for a while," Hazel mused. "But yeah, it's very nice here."

"Definitely. I love the view here," Nova said, looking out over the water. Despite the place they were in, the lake was actually relatively clean.

He smiled to Juliet. "Though, I think it has charm to me because I'm here with you."

Juliet smiled. "I was thinking the same thing. As long as I'm with you... everything just seems a little brighter, a little nicer." She said, munching on her empanada. "Wow, those people were right, the food is delicious." Juliet said brightly.
