Rick nodded. He reached out and gripped Ant's shoulder. "I see. It's funny, her happiness means everything to me." Rick said quietly, glancing around them to make sure that nobody was listening in. "And I guess I'd never really considered my own before. I've always considered myself to be a tool, a blunt instrument, a weapon. First for revenge, then for saving Ammy... I suppose I never really thought about my own happiness before. I mean making her happy makes me happy... but I mean it's like... I'm worried because I don't want the guild to get caught off guard if I don't check out the perimeter, you know?"

"If you don't feel... good in a relationship... it isn't a good one. You need to be happy," Ant eventually said. "Like... I've seen some stuff she's done while you've been.... asleep." He made caution to avoid the word 'unconscious'. No need to spill too much.

"And it isn't good. Like, I used to have an ex. Her name was Carmen. She made me someone I... didn't want to be. And Bria! Her ex! It's important to... I don't know, cut off any bad? I don't want to see the same happen to you."

Rick raised an eyebrow. He knew that Ant was his friend. A dear friend that he could trust. It was something... something he had in very short supply. "Ant. I really appreciate this. And you. You're one of my closest friends, and your friendship means a lot to me." He said, still trying to consider everything that Ant had just told him. Rick eventually smiled. "It's not that I don't feel good... I mean I'm happy most of the time. But... I think you're definitely right. It's like Nova and Juliet. You know how they fight sometimes and sometimes one or the other is unhappy. And yet they stick through it because they love each other. I think that's just where I am with Mordic right now. Things aren't perfect sure, but I love her. You know? I just don't know how to approach that subject..."

Ant frowned. "I... don't know about that, man. That's what I thought too but... you know what, never mind..."

Rick sighed. "What is it Ant?" He asked quietly. "Is there something I should know? Something I should be aware of?"

"Things are never as good as they seem," he said in reply. "But, you need to learn that for yourself." He then began to head down the aisle, clearly done with the conversation. He said his bit. That was all.

Rick nodded. He understood. He did have one more thing to say to Ant, so he caught up. "Ant. Thank you." Rick said quietly. "For listening. And for being honest with me." As far as Rick was concerned, the conversation was also over. "I meant what I said by the way. You're someone I can always rely on... and I am thankful for that."

Ant knew a lost cause when he saw one. He simply sighed. It wasn't his place to try and get through. So, he simply smiled in response.

"No problem," he said. "You'd do the same for me."

Bria had gotten the majority of the food she would need, but she had to get th dairy products before she was truly finished. The thing with Brie was this: she hated shopping, so she made it her mission to get it done as quickly as possible.

Rick nodded. "Indeed I would. Which incidentally is why I was teasing you about Bria a few days ago." He said with a smile. "But that's neither here nor there." He muttered, disappearing into thin air for just a few moments. He returned to Ant's side holding the blankets Kai had requested as well as the dairy products Ant had promised to grab. "Here, hold these?" Rick asked, handing Ant all the dairy.

"Excuse me, why are you turning this on me?" Ant fired back, clearly caught off guard by Rick of all people calling him out. Ant paused. Maybe he taught him a bit too well.

He only sighed in frustration as the man disappeared. Typical. He said nothing when being given the products.

When Bria came to the dairy aisle, she saw Ant and Rick there.

"Thank you," she spoke graciously as she took the items from them and put them in the cart, "How does tacos sound tonight? Chicken, Fish, Beef/Steak with all the toppings."

Rick smiled. "Delicious." He answered Bria's question. "Let me know what I can do to help. I may not be a gourmet chef like Nova, but I can chop and stuff." Rick gestured to the blades that he always carried.

"You know, last time I checked, you don't cut food with large, swingy swords," Ant said.

Rick's response was to show Ant the wakizashi that was sheathed below his katanas. He smirked. "Also I'm sure Bria owns actual kitchen knives. Not that I couldn't do the required chopping with one of these blades."

"Thank God," Ant joked. "We don't want Dick over here going on a rampage with his baby sword."

"Aww don't be so jealous little bug," Bria joked, "You can be my assistant if you want."

Rick smiled at Bria's remark. "Then it's settled. Let's gather the others and cash out. We should be getting back anyways."

Ant rolled his eyes. Fantastic.

Hazel, meanwhile, was making her way down the frozen aisle. In one of the freezers, however, an image of Eve, the same one Hazel kept on seeing, was trapped in the locker. She glanced over at it and frowned.

"You need to be more creative than that," she simply said to Magog. It was getting old.
