"I'm more worried about what's going on over there to be honest," Kai said as he pointed at Hazel and Bria, Hazel had been acting really strange since they left Patis, at least, not like her usual selft just like...
"Itai, hontou itai..!" Yui grit her teeth, now holding her head. The sounds were mixing together; in fact, the pain it brought was akin to that of a sledgehammer being brought down on her head.. or perhaps someone firing a gun right into her ear canal. The young girl felt like her eardrums were going to rupture at any given moment.
"Liza," Kai said sternly towards the girl, who jumped once more before nodding her head and quickly calling Aphrodite out in an attempt to calm Hazel down with her song.
"Goddamn it," Kai frowned, quickly taking off his apron. 'We gotta go get her fast," he said, gritting his teeth in frustration as he glanced at the others.
"But..." Kai turned towards Kari, a frustrated expression on his face before he let out an equally frustrated sigh and began walking back into the kitchen. "Damn it all," he said bitterly as he got into the kitchen. Did he just have to watch everyone fall apart? was the really the best thing for him to do?
And so night fell over Estelar city as the group's dinner was cooked and eaten. This of course left the decision of how everyone was going to sleep, again.
"As am I. I grew up sleeping in rat infested alleys and in trees." Rick chuckled. "I can take the floor, I'll sleep like a baby."
Juliet looked towards the window. "Don't worry about me. I'll be fine wherever." She said quietly. The truth was she had no intention of sleeping at Bria's apartment. She had work to do and wouldn't be sleeping at all.
It was considered an extreme rarity for Yui to be awake at this hour, considering she made it a personal habit to be asleep before 10 PM. Past memories dictated that it was important for her own survival in the orphanage.
This was unmistakably one of those nights where the girl was absolutely restless. She lingered by the window with half-lidded eyes, methodically loading cartridges into her sniper rifle's chamber and emptying them, repeating the task in silence. The dull cycle remained unbroken, until she eventually just decided to disassemble the weapon and do a routine maintenance check.
"I can be the overnight air conditioner if you'd like," Mordic suggested in a flat tone. "Not that I sleep much, anyways."
Ammy was asleep, sitting against the wall, her cybernetic suit cancelling out any and all noise that might've disturbed her.
