"My black blade doesn't have a name." Rick said quietly. "It was the family blade. It didn't have a name... and it wasn't right of me to name it." He explained. "My white blade I named Oathkeeper. Because I took it from my parents' killers. I kept my oath. Thus the name."

Kai glanced at Rick for a moment. With how different he had been lately he had almost forgotten how much the man had gone through during his life, it was just recently that he had finally had a chance to enjoy happiness. It was also then that he understood why Rick was taking the scouting so seriously as well, he couldn't afford any chance that could get rid of that happiness. "Oathkeeper huh? maybe it's just me but I actually think that name sounds badass," he pointed out with a slight laugh.

Rick smiled. "I don't know if it's badass... but it's right, and that's what I care about..." He trailed off. "But yes, we can work on forging a blade for you. There is a lot of research you will need to do on the subject before we start however."

"Oh? is there now?" he said, sounding genuinly surprised as he looked at Rick. "Find them, I'll await your teachings, sensei," he said in a serious tone before doing a respectful vow and laughing. 'Anyway, if anything happens call us," he stated as he got up and began making his way back inside.

It was three days later, finally the day when the tournament preliminaries would be held. Having received the address from Sakura the group quickly moved and left Bria's apartment to go to the place where the tournament would take place.

In contrast to most of the city the stadium set up for the tournament stood out, it was a large building that was mostly well kept, people were gathered around it, completely filling the area as both participants, spectators and people looking to make a buck by selling snacks and nicknacks gathered.

"There really is a lot of people gathering for this thing huh?" Kai commented as the group arrived at the entrance to the park that led towards the stadium.

"It's...kind of overwhelming," Liza replied, holding her hands to her stomach.

Hazel wordlessly walked in. To say she wasn't feeling herself was an understatement.

Ant frowned. "How many people are coming for this?" he muttered.

Bria was on high alert and seemed rather anxious. It wasn't due to the tournament itself, but due to her ex knowing she was around. The voices he was taunting her with had her super jumpy.

Kari just quietly walked beside Kai.

"This is a rather large crowd," she commented.

"A lot," Kai pointed out as he looked around once more. "And never understimate the power of people wnating to see others beat each other up," Kai said towards Kari, still remembering the mission he and Juliet had at the underground ring.

"This is the prelims being held for the northern part of the South Continent," Sakura pointed out, scratching her chin in thought. "I'd say there'd probably be somewhere around 500 or so participants."

"Can they even fit that many people!?" Liza pointed out in shock, simply seeing Sakura shrug.

"Stadium's pretty big at least," the older woman pointed out. "But I do wonder myself."

Juliet was wearing dark sunglasses to hide the fact that she was exhausted. She hadn't slept since they had arrived as she had been pulling all-nighters in the library doing research on the Magog issue. Leaving after the others had fallen asleep, coming home before they awoke and sneaking an hour or two of a nap at best. It was draining but it had to be done.

Rick looked calm. He was ready for any test that would come his way.

"Try not to die," Bria commented nervously, "Try to avoid my ex at all costs, but that's not working out. He's been taunting me all morning."

Hazel didn't answer. It was fairly obvious what she meant.

"Don't worry, we won't start anything," Ant awkwardly said, now referring to the latter option. "Well, won't start something outside of the tournament."

"It's not you guys I'm worried about," Bria replied, "It's how far he'd go to make sure he got me."

"Yeah, well," Ant quietly said with a laugh. "He won't be around for long."

Hazel nodded her head. "We're here for you."

"Then on that note, we should start seeing if there's some kind of sign up desk or something," Kai pointed out, noticing that there seemed to be multiple crowds gathering in various sports around the stadium. "Like over there," he pointed at the area, only to see what seemed like a transparent green dragon fly into the sky and disappear before the crowd began to clap.

As they walked closer they could see that the crowd had gathered around a group of Skill Users who all seemed to be showing off their skills, in front of the group were three men with dark skin, their eyes fixed on each of the Skill Users as they finished. After that each of the men glanced at each other before letting one of them walk into the stadium.

"It...seems like we gotta show off our skills before we can get in," Liza pointed out in confusion as she stared at the event.

Juliet shrugged. "That should be easy enough." She remarked.

"I don't like giving myself away like that. I'll think of something." Rick muttered.
