Rick glanced at his phone. "Galeria Mall rooftop." The opponent's name didn't register for a moment. He smiled, wondering what this person's ability would be. Then it hit him. "Oh shit." He felt his jaw drop. Hazel. Perhaps the last person he'd ever want to fight. Sighing, he knew that he had no choice. He'd have to fight her, but he wouldn't hurt her. Taking a quick pit stop to shed his armor and replace his typical weapons for training blades, he went to the mall and waited.

"A guy named Guy? Hate him already," Ant commented.

Hazel immediately froze upon seeing her first fight. Rick. And... just when she thought things couldn't get worse. She didn't want to hurt him. At all. She... would go easy on him. Yeah, maybe just try and use water. A couple of rocks. She could easily feign injury, right? Good bye cruel world... and all of that. Right?

She glanced over at the young man as he walked away. She could make this work. Ant looked at her and frowned.

"Uh, good luck," he said. "I'm sorry."

"Please," she quietly said in response. "It'll be fine. I'm more worried about you. Be safe."

And with this, the two began to head to their separate locations. Ant simply chose to wear a pair of basketball shorts, a loose fitting tank top, and some high top sneakers. Hazel, on the other hand, wore a simple black sports bra and some joggers. The two would need to think quick.

If Nova were listening enough, he would hear a voice begin to echo in his mind. It sounded like... a young male.

It sounded angry.

"Wait, what was his name?!" Bria exclaimed, "No...no....how did he get here?! How did he find me again?"

Upon Hazel's arrival, Rick hopped down from his perch atop the building's chimney to greet her. "Zel." He said softly, bowing his head in a gesture of respect. "Spar until first blood, then the loser submits to the winner? It will be a good test and neither of us gets hurt." Rick left the fact that he'd never hurt Hazel ever unsaid. He didn't want to make things any more tense or uncomfortable.

Magog was stirring from deep within Hazel's psyche.

Nova tried to keep the voice in his head at bay. It sounded familiar, chilling. Still, he didn't want to compromise his fight.

"I don't want to do this," Hazel simply said, a frown forming on her lips. "I really don't, but... we have no choice, do we?"

Ant continued to walk. He, unfortunately, still had no idea what was in store. He would find out soon enough.

The voice in Nova's head continued. "You're gonna kill them all, you know. You're pretty good at that..."

Rick nodded. He understood. "I don't want to either Zel. But we're here undercover to do a job... which means we have to put on our best act." He pointed out, drawing his two training blades. Even a direct strike wouldn't cause much harm to his foe, but it would do enough to draw blood if he was precise. Bowing his head in a gesture of respect, he smiled. "No matter what happens, it changes nothing between us." Rick promised.

A projection of something strange would appear around Hazel, visible only to her. It was inky, black, putrid; distinctly unholy. Magog's essence was surrounding her, like an unseen aura that would emanate from her. "Here you go, Hazel. I hope you like this gift, hehe~"

Nova bit his lip for a moment, trying to suppress it. She found it; she found it, and now she was going to use it to throw him off of his game. He couldn't let it hurt him.

But, he would hurt the other guy, wouldn't he?

Hazel seemed pained. Everything would be just fine; she'd stick to water. It would be okay. After a moment, she lifted her arms up, flicking her wrists. Two bubbles of water formed at her fists.

"Of course," she said. It appeared she would say more, but she didn't. Magog was the direct cause of this. Hazel's heart dropped to the floor. No... not again... she couldn't do this again. She glanced back up at Rick. She would have to try and ignore it, no matter the difficulty. She had to.

The voice in Nova's head simply chuckled. "Now you're getting it, man. It's been so long. I thought you lost your touch. That, hm... yeah, that really gross and horrible touch."

Rick didn't notice Hazel's obvious distress because he was focused on the fight, specifically the water that she was using for what he assumed would be her opening salvo. Get close. She will kill you from range. Rick told himself and he knew that it was the right cause of action. He dashed forward towards Hazel and slashed quickly at her arm with the blade in his right hand, keeping his left blade free to defend and counter.

Nova tried to keep the voice in his head at bay. It was chilling, deep-cutting... nearly too much right then and there. He didn't answer it, but he couldn't drive it away. So, he just trued to concentrate on the fight ahead.

When he made it to the spot of his fight, his opponent was a rather buff, bald male.

"Ready, iron man? I'm gonna bust you open," Ruffus said in a typically cheesy one-liner.

Nova paid it no mind. "I... I don't want to hurt you," he said to Ruffus.

He was met with a laugh, before Ruffus held up his fists. "I don't break easy, tin man."

Nova held up his own fists. He wasn't going to use his powers against this guy.

Bria was just quietly trying not to cry. She couldn't go back to her ex. There was no way.

"Ant," she spoke, changing back into her human form, "Please, kill him. Make sure he never hurts me again. Please."

Ant remained quiet for a moment, turning around to face Bria. He paused. But then he realized. And he was pissed.

Nova was totally going to use his powers against this guy. Magog had a plan. The voice in Nova's head grew louder. "Yeah, Tin Man. You keep this up and you're gonna rust," the voice mocked, clearly amused. "You have a lot of talents! Use them to get this guy. You can't kill someone with friendship."

A pause.

"Oh wait."

As soon as Rick began to approach, the water formed at Hazel's fists began to expand. Within seconds of impact, the water would freeze, forming that of an ice shield.

Rick's sword clashed with the ice shield and clattered away harmlessly. He took a step back and reconsidered before sliding forward and attacking with his left blade this time, slicing at Hazel's organic leg.

Bria just buried her face into Ant's chest and began to sob.

"Don't let him take me," she cried.

During Rick's moment of thought, Hazel took this time to completely evaporate the shield. In the small amount of steam created, Hazel attempted to lift up the ground below her, just to avoid the attack.

Ant froze. This was... completely outlandish. He had never seen Bria act like this before. To just... lose her calm like this. It was completely out there.

"I... won't," he eventually said.

Mordic wordlessly made her way to the match's location. She was likely against the same Fen she had teamed up with against the magicians, who - to her knowledge - was a demon, just as she was.

You're not Mordic Koros anymore. Your name is Tuan Kirie of the Aku'ra tribe. You have no room for pulling your punches.

That voice...it was familiar. She was trying to recall where she'd heard it before; that's when it hit her.

It was her. Tuan Kirie, not Mordic Koros.

In other words, her true self.

She stared down Fen with draconian crimson eyes. "Are you ready?" Her tone was blunt. Cold, like steel.

Rick watched Hazel rise upward and pass harmlessly above his blade. Catching the ground as it rose, he propelled himself upwards and slashed down at Hazel with both blades.

"Thank you, Ant," Bria replied, sniffling, "Sorry about your shirt, by the way."

Ruffus made the first move, swinging his fists at Nova. The hits were dodged for the most part, with a few retalitory strikes being sent at the guy. He seemed to eat the strikes up.

That explained his skill - durability.

Then, he landed a solid hit on Nova's stomach, sending him sliding back. The force of the punch reverberated through his armor, but the carapace protected him.

And strength. Strength and durability. A typical brawler.

They met blow for blow.

Then, the voice spoke again.

And Nova's hand slipped, knocking into the guy's face. It had more force in it than he wanted to put behind it, sending Ruffus reeling back.

"Ah... I'm sorry!" Nova said to him.

Ruffus simply spit out some blood, wincing at the pain. "Fuck you, cyborg," he sneered, lunging at Nova once more.
