OOC: As I said two pages ago characters like Grey, Jakku and Klay will have to wait before returning I want the new characters to finish settling in first.
"I think I've had my powers for a long time, like since I was around four. They improved when I," she studdered, almost giving away some information she hadn't wanted to, "When I moved. But I'm pretty sure I wasn't born with them. And to answer your other question, I'm fine with climbing the stairs. Are the metal? If they are, I could get up there almost instantly," Ellen said as she headed to the steps.
"No they're concrete," Sakura replied before leading her inside. "Sorry for my rudeness my name's Sakura Sekai and I'm a member of the Slayers and I will be interviewing you," she pointed out while holding her index finger out. "First we'll start with the first thing...tell me everything," she said as she looked at Ellen. "A Bounty Hunter Guild is like a second family there's no secrets of course if you want to keep some stuff to yourself then you're allowed to."
Jakku sat at a small restaurant, eating noodles.
His sister tore through the handcuffs he'd left her in, and made a break for the door.
Jakku's form shimmered, and an identical duplicate calmly walked over and caught her.
"Now. Shush."
The real Hunter continued eating.
But first food.
Grey barged through the door to the nearest cafe, and walked right into Jakku and his bitch of a sister.
"Shit Jakku!" he grinned, rubbing his short hair back and gripping his right bicep. "Didn't see you there bud!"
Jakku looked a little different...more weather beaten almost. Like him.
"What's the ice queen doin' here?" asked Grey casually, taking a seat in the cafe, the seat crunching a little under his sheer mass of muscle.
An insane idea struck Freed. Very unorthodox, but perhaps that was what these Hunters were looking for... "Matt, how good are you with roller coasters?"
"I felt sorry for her. This is her after I saved her life."
Jakku said shortly, between mouthfuls.
He shrugged helplessly at this thought, but didn't stop eating.
The waiter brought over a second bowl of noodles for the twin, this one with Miso.
Jakku's sister glared at Jakku rebelliously, but tucked in.
"Okay," Ellen sighed with a nervous quiver. She knew she would've had to spill sometime. "I was born and raised here, but I always kept moving around. My mother, who suffered severe depression almost daily, could barely hold a job and got fired frequently. We moved around the city, looking for hotels with promos like 'First month is free' kind of stuff. Anyway, my mom ran away with some fairly rich guy she just met, hoping they would marry and she wouldn't have to work anymore. She left me entirely at the hotel we were staying at when I had just turned twelve. The man she fell in love turned out to be a murderer, and he killed my mom. Knowing that I was still at the hotel, he turned around and kidnapped me. He liked me better, mainly because he thought that when I matured, he would be able to... you know, please him. Anyway, he kept me alive, but just barely. When he thought someone was suspicious, they would disappear. I would usually hear their voices at the den where he kept me. One time, about six months after he captured me, a man escaped from his clutches. The man found me and set me free, and I ran without hesitating."
"I made it out safely, but I was quickly found by an adoption agency who forced me in. It wasn't an impenetrable adoption agency, and I easily escaped. Anyway, when I escaped, I found my way to an empty meadow just outside the city. The field was previously owned by an electro-magnetic scientist who had previously been experimenting. I think this is when I developed the ability to control both electricity and magnetism, instead of just a regular power like magic or PSI. Anyway, I figured out how to make my little area invisible to others by making it hard to see and a border trick, where if they walk through the border, they instantly appear on the other side of the border, without knowing of the trick. Anyway, I thought I would put my skills to work by joining the bounty hunter guild."
Ellen noticed she was pushing back tears by the end of her story. She hadn't told her past to anybody recently, not even herself. By the time she had finished telling her story, they were almost to the top of the stairs. Ellen turned to Sakura. "I haven't told my story to anybody else, and I would like to keep it that way. I'll tell them on my own time. If you couldn't tell, it's kind of a personal subject to me. Even if I'm not accepted, please don't use my past against me," Ellen asked, her eyes now almost leaking tears entirely.
Freed nodded. "Let me give you a little... speed boost." Extending his chains, he wrapped them around Matt's waist. "I can spin you around with my chains, massively increasing your force. Though you might get a little motion-sick..."
"Why would I?" Sakura asked while adjusting her glasses; she stopped and turned around to look at Ellen. "Like I told you our Guild won't treat you like that we don't use our member's past to our advantage and are willing to help them move on that is why I told you to explain your situation to me," she explained before sighing. "If you wish to keep it a secret then that's okay but remember that you can always come to use,' she smiled before turning around and walking towards the last flight of stairs. "One of our two head masters is able to control electricity so if you want to become stronger you could ask him to help you out or something."
OOC: I just know one was a mouthy and the other was quiet.
OOC: For the record, I am now naming them. The mouthy non-kidnapped one is Odan, for chill.
The kidnapped one is Shimo, for frost.
"I'll take that as a compliment."
Jakku said quietly, watching amusedly as Grey tucked in too.
He finished his bowl, and sat back quietly, slightly more at ease.
Shimo watched Grey, suspicious.
Grey returned Shimo's glare with a playful razberry. Then he returned to his noodles.
"Say," he said slowly, munching on some chicken, "What have you been up to then? Besides for chasin' siblings."
Grey sat back in his chair, drained the bowl's soup with a upturn movement of the bowl and then threw it swiftly onto the table beside theirs.
"I didn't chase her. Her and her sister tried to blow up a train I was on."
Jakku said, unhumourously.
"In the end, I had to pull her off a collapsing rail bridge. Not one of my best days..."
Grey chuckled.
"Kids..."
He cracked his neck and flexed his muscles as a pretty maid came by.
"Well, i mistakenly took the wrong ferry. Ended up in some marshland. A swamp hermit took me in y'know."
Matthew thought for a moment and said "Ok but let me try one thing first."
He then used the Dragon's Embodiment. Blue flames enveloped his body and solidified into dragon-like armor. He said "Be ready to catch the elevator"and focused an unprecedented amount of fire into his right arm, which was now completely immersed in blue flames, and used another Fire Fist.one that shattered through the barrier.
