As I recall from last year's applications, if you start an application and want to add something in later, you make a new post, not an edit. That way, you can make sure it gets seen.

Since I wanted to take my time with my app, I actually saved it as a word doc and worked on it there at my leisure. Applications are being accepted for two weeks, no need to get yours in first thing. Says the guy who got his app in first last year...

Thanks for the advice. I'll add the "News Report" of the application in a new post - I want to write something with quality, and it's 10pm where I'm currently at.

Also, what is the criteria used to give an applicant mod status? Can potential bias get involved?
The criteria are usually whoever meets the current needs of a section best. Though overall good traits are activity, friendliness, initiative, and general good behavior (a warning or two by no means disqualifies people). Of course we try not to have bias when selecting mods, and we have so many eyes on each app it would be hard for that to be a factor.

Do the amount of warning points you have affect your chance of being staff? Just curious...

If you are applying for example, F&G, do you get mod status on TWR also? Some users who want to be mods there aren't usually interested in The War Room, so can you be a mod at only one section in the aforementioned forums?

You are treated as being a mod of both sections, technically speaking.

To clarify a bit of what Sky said, the people we accept from this drive will be considered both, although depending on if we hire more than one applicant we may allow for some more specialization in one section or the other.

If you have experience on other sites, but have just joined this one, does that disqualify you from applying? Is there some sort of prerequisite amount of time needed before you're able to apply?

There is no prerequisite for applying. Having a history on Bulbagarden can however work positively for you in your applications.

I've been planning on getting more active in my posting for a while now, might as well get started. I've wanted to be a moderator for a while, but haven't quite met the needs of BMGF apparently. We'll see what happens.

Still apply, you may just be the person we're looking for. Can't be a mod if you don't try.
