It is a public place though, using your hands unless you are eating finger food is a just not right.

... I don't want to sound harsh, but you should come as a tourist in Greece sometime.
Better not, you would most probably get disgusted by lots of things.

Greece is different, India is different. Those countries have their cultures which you go with but let's say that the poster is from a country like the USA or Australia, then what I am saying is correct.

For the record I have been to Greece, it is nice.

Re: The Bulbagarden Conversational Chat Thread Vol 5

Anyway yes there are worse things you can do but it doesn't justify the point he has. Think about this, I punch someone in the face sending him to hospital, it is bad but I could have done worse. It doesn't mean what I did was in the right.

If you do this in a restaurant with handling food with your hands, what is stopping you from eating with your hands, not using a napkin or using a fork in your normal hand. He has a point, a restaurant is dining, it is simply handling yourself with manners while indulging in cuisine. If you want to use your hands, go to KFC.

You showed bad manners, simple as that. If you didn't use your hands and used two forks or two spoons to move salad, then this wouldn't be a problem right?
Yeah, but it doesn't seem like something that should warrant more than a simple "you shouldn't do that". Like I mentioned, he apparently refuses to eat in public with me just because of that incident, if there was another reason I think he would have mentioned it during the 15 minute time period of him nagging to me about it.

Firstly your pun/play on words sucks. I just want you to realize that.
I know...

Well I mean he wants to show that his children have good table manners, so he is annoyed in that case. It is maybe his way of showing a lesson to you. Anyway I mean again this wouldn't happen if you used cutlery to move salad. Why did you use your hands if you are in a restaurant?

Do you think being naked whilst pushing the salad would have helped matters?
