@Maniacal Engineer Don't those live like 80 years? I wish dogs lived that long :\

I had a dog growing up but she died of old age awhile back. Definitely gonna get a dog when I move out for medical school. I love big dogs but there's no point in having a house when I'm in medical school (too much maintenance) and it's a terrible idea to coop a large dog up in an apartment, so I'm getting either a shiba or a havanese.

Cockatiels live 15-20 years, which isn't bad. My cockatiel is about to turn 7 on May 7th (it's her Golden Birthday).

TBH, not a very big fan of dogs, and that's underexaggerating. I can see why most people like them, but I don't understand the attraction.
Birds are my favorite pets, and after that are cats.
My girlfriend has a pet cat, which is going to make things interesting when we move in together. I might have to leave my cockatiel with my family, whom she already knows.

If you start socialising them together now (I'd recommend the first couple of socialisings be done with your cockatiel in a cage or at least keep her high up out of immediate reach of a cat just for safety and see how it goes) you probably won't have to leave her with your family. Cats and birds have been known to get along, especially with larger birds like those of the cockatoo family, which are less likely to be seen as prey because of their size (unless your girlfriend has, like, a Maine Coon or something ^.__.^;; even then though it can be done). Granted, I don't know how much time you have before you two move in together but you could give it a go.

do you have a pet? Pets are known for eating really weird stuff. I've heard of them eating collars, Christmas tree ornaments, jewelry, clothing, rocks...

I have a dog and a cat, but they've never eaten game cartridges, and I'm sure my dog hasn't eaten it.

So Bandai's announced figures of Makino Ruki/Rika Nonaka and Renamon in the style of some of the older Adventure figs like Sora and Piyomon. Looks like Tamers is getting some swag for its fifteenth anniversary! I'm hoping we get a D-Arc reissue :D

I think I'm cursed or something. I'm losing video games left and right! First it's my old Alpha Sapphire, then an extra copy of Black, and now my Soul Silver game, with all my events and shinies!

Eh you'll be fine. They'll end up somewhere.

So I booked another trip overseas. Yay for me. Can't imagine not traveling around the world.

*shrug* okay. They do say that curiosity killed the cat.

...my avatar is a duck though, wonder if that makes a difference.

I am a halophile, and I do have an awful lot of acids and bases lying around.

But NaH. Getting salty is beneath ME.

My dogs ate my homework and my shoes. They also used to hide my socks. My niece once hid my x. I don't think she ment to the she was only 5 months at the time.

Did you find your 'x'?

Also to the poster above this post, why the hell are you apologizing?

It's not excessive or confusing. I just think it is moronic but then again coming from where it is, it's not a surprise.
