Several hours ago, my Komala plush came in the mail! I named him Buster, after the koala from Sing. I thought about wearing him on my head, but he doesn't make that good of a hat.

I guess...

Does anyone else cringe when they look at their old posts? I remember looking at my earlier blog posts before the server move, and I honestly thought many of my blog posts were immature. I think I was too easily offended when I was younger - I feel like I've developed much thicker skin in the past two and a half years. I feel like some of those old posts made me look like one of those people who sits around on Tumblr all day.

@zakisrage Yep. I deleted a facebook account I had had since my preteens a summer or two ago and downloaded an offline copy for memories sake. Reading through it I couldn't believe that was the former me. This little spoiled brat that was obsessed with the drums (which I've never played) and some guy I don't even remember (who is "him"???) is a far cry from me today. It made me cringe so bad I haven't touched it since.

Oh stupid drama things about boys, like most girls at that age. Yeah I don't think anyone even uses LJ anymore, or at all in the last like decade or so. It used to be really popular back then though. Yes, I am old, get off my lawn. :p

Anyway, at that age, everything is SUUUUUUUPER DRAMATIC. I failed a class, THE WORLD IS ENDING. My boyfriend didn't reply to my message for 15min, HE HATES ME. My parents don't understand me, WHINE WHINE WHINE. You know, stuff like that. Typical teenager/just out of teenager-hood stuff. Ugh. I got so embarrassed by that crap like 5-6 years ago that I went and got a paid account on LJ just so I could privacy-lock all of those posts so no one could ever read them ever again. I should've just deleted the account but I guess I kept it for some stupid sentimentality reasons, who knows. I don't think I even remember the username or password anymore so even I can't read them anymore. :ROFLMAO:

 Sounds like my facebook. Puberty is a pain. And to think it all felt normal back then. I know I thought I was mature.

I have a teenage brother going through this phase and he has all but run me up the wall. Now I'm wondering if I was this big of an ass towards my mom.

Man, this was, like, before Facebook was even a thing. I think I recall a few years after I started using LJ someone first mentioned Facebook to me and I think you actually had to have like a university email address to use it? Like, it was just for students or something?

Back in my day, up hill, both ways, in the snow, on a tricerotops.

Really? The earliest social media I recall was MySpace. It seemed like everyone in my class had one. I wasn't going to say it but I didn't even know social media existed in 2000.

So since the blogs are on extended RIP status, I figured I'd post about this here. Made myself a new avatar after slaving away for a few hours. Only my fourth ever in the history of my being here! Not as small as some certainly, but certainly less than others. Although even though I made it the necessary 96x96, it still doesn't animate unless you're on Bluebook or looking at my profile page.

Was going to do punching to the moon, but size limits, so I had to settle for firing moonbeams instead.

I had a user PM me last year asking me why I change avatars a lot. Does it really matter?

I dunno, I guess some people don't bother reading names and just recognise posters based on their avatars, so if someone's constantly changing their's they get confused? Personally, I like coming on and seeing what new av you've got that day/week/whatever.
