my new year's resolution is to come up with sensible new year's resolutions before the next new year

My resolution is to move to a better state before the end of the year. I think...hope... maybe we can finally do it.

I tried to stay pretty low-key with my resolutions this year, keeping them as achievable and low effort as possible: reading at least two books & watching at least two films per month (the latter being considerably easier than the former; social media has decimated my attention span). In an ideal world I'd also be resolving to waking up at a consistent time every day, but that's just not realistic whatsoever. Fatigue sucks, man!

does anyone have any plans for Valentine's Day... whether you're actively celebrating it, doing something anti-Valentine's, or just treating it like a regular Tuesday? the restaurant I work at will start opening on Tuesdays as of the 14th, but fortunately I secured the day off like a month ago, lol. I don't really mind Valentine's so much; obviously the commercialisation of love is gross, but I like being spoilt & I think seeing everyone all loved-up is cute.

or well, it's no more than a regular day to me. it has worked out well for the many years that i've done it, so!

Nope. I'm the sort of person who actually kind of likes Valentine's, but as with every year it'll probably just be another day for me lol. Just gonna spend tomorrow like I would any other Tuesday, at home and redecorating my room ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Even before I found out I was aromantic; Valentine's Day was pretty much nothing to me. I've never needed a 'special someone' in life and I never felt the calling of Eros hit me at all.

Nothing planned for Valentine's Day really, since I'll be working and I've never been into the whole relationship thing anyway. But I may pick up some heart-shaped Krispy Kremes to share with my family. Who says Valentine's Day has to be about romantic love?

I worked a normal shift, and later I will have rehearsal. Nothing out of the normal. Ugly girls like me know that Valentine's Day is never going to be anything special. Lol.

valentine's day is dumb imo and that's about the tl;dr on my thoughts on it. actually rather bothersome that the very concept of valentine's pretty much spread throughout the rest of february, so it's not even really a day anymore, more like a whole month. >.>

I just picked my friend up from the airport! She’s apartment hunting so I figured I’d let her crash with me for the week. I’ll probably be busy this week doing everything I can with her until she heads home. I hope she moves back here! It’d be fun to have another friend around. We’re both gonna nap in a few minutes because neither of us slept more than 3 whole hours LMAO…

But we miiiight hit the arcade tomorrow. Maybe. And we’ll spend the week watching magical boy anime and drawing LOL. What about you??? What are you up to?

We got to Bahamut phase in Ucob! It’s crazy how far we’ve progged… I can’t believe I’ll be a Legend before I even clear a tier of savage!

Nothing for me really, except that a trip to Washington, D.C. might be in the works soon! I really want to catch those cherry blossoms when they’re in full bloom, all on a nice, sunny day…

I..... just finished another essay for college stuff! Super proud of myself because it was... fifteen pages of full content... and my wrist somehow hurts from typing, but I'm glad to finally have it done. Regrettably there's still more work to do but...

Other than that, I'm probably going to see a taiko group perform tomorrow? It's at my campus (my college actually has three!), and I'm excited to go! Other than that... mooooore drawing? Basically? I'm boring LMAO.....

Not much over here. I took a short trip downtown earlier today, and later in the week I'm planning to dye my hair again.
I also finally picked up RPG Maker yesterday, so I'm pretty hyped to start working on some game ideas I've had for a long time
But that's about it, at least as far as fun stuff goes.

Tomorrow is the first day of spring (or fall for those of you in the southern hemisphere), so I hope you all enjoy it!

Got my first convention of the year next weekend, so I'm prepping for that. I'll be digging out one of my current cosplays, since the one I'm currently working on isn't likely to be ready in time.
