I'm not going to talk about the Staff Drive. Whether I have the desire to moderate or not is none of your concern until the results are out. :3

How many people get selected?

That's really down to the section staff. It's not like they say "ok we need three more mods", it's more like they'll consider the best apps depending on the needs of the section. So one section might take on 4 new mods, whilst another might not want any.

Well at least the Semis was worth it. Next up at 1am (so basically 14 hours from now) Hull v. Sheffield.

Well I submitted my application. I was just going to do it as a goof at first but after the first question I started taking it seriously lol.

Best of luck to all those who applied. Except for those who applied to the same section I did... worst of luck to you

I doubt I ever will to be honest. One of my worst fears is having a car accident and having something happen to me or someone else as a result of me driving. I might not have the required reaction times for driving anyway, so its probably better and safer that I dont.

I really think that video games helped me with my reaction times. XD

Driving early in the morning helps to avoid traffic.

I think I'm the kind of person that'll get too into the music their blasting, and not pay enough attention to the road.

This^

I have a friend that listens to rock music very loud when she's driving. I keep telling her to turn it off or at least turn it down but she claims it doesn't impact her concentration. I think it has too, she gets into the songs and drums her hands on the steering wheel during certain bits like she's really paying attention to it. It makes me really nervous. I think I'd be too nervous to drive anyway without adding music as an extra distraction, even the radio would put me off.

I'm surprised by the amount of people who have said they are too nervous to drive, I always feel like I'm on my own in being that way since everyone around me acts like I'm being silly. Cars are really dangerous things and if you doubt your ability to handle one, it's best you don't. That's my feeling on it anyway.

Even my friends who do drive are terrified of driving. :p

I think I'll just play it safe and only drive whilst drunk. on ice. in the dark. blindfolded.

Oddly enough music helps me focus when I'm driving, especially eurobeat. It keeps me concentrated and I actually have more trouble without it. I'm also pretty comfortable driving in general by now though so I'd definitely say that if you're new to driving or not 100% confident to keep it silent.

I can't yet drive, but I figure that since I'm 25 I really should be able to, and it really would make life more convenient. I'll be working on that this year or next year hopefully.
