Bulbagarden Conversational Chat Thread Vol.5

It's quite funny how popular sports are in different countries.

The UK shares no big sports with the US. Like, trying to watch Hockey game over here would be jumping through a lot of hoops - it's basically got no audience over here.

We get the Superbowl, and some American Football games, but usually it's specialist subscription kind of thing.

Oddly enough, Japan is more align with the US than you'd expect. Baseball is massive over there.

I feel like nobody watches baseball in America anymore!? maybe!? Maybe it depends on the region you're in...

I personally lost interest in all sports except for hockey. Watching games is going to be a nightmare in Japan, like the time difference and the unpopularity of the sport...I'm not a diehard fan or or anything, so, it luckily won't crush me or anything!

Oh yeah, I'm sure it depends on the area! My family could care less about sports but my husband is pretty strongly into them, especially soccer and tennis. Meanwhile sports are the single most boring thing to me and I just cannot get into them no matter how hard I try hahaha. ;_;/

When Czech hockey players play some important match, teachers let us watch it during class. I would say that ice hockey is a really popular sport in my country, as even I, a person who is not interested in sports, know when something important is played (and I usually know the results too), which does not happen with other sports (except for tennis I think).

Still in shock over Technoblade's death. Didn't watch too many of his videos but I enjoyed what I did see. I'll keep him as my profile theme until day after tomorrow
I didn't watch his videos but saw the video uploaded to his channel after his passing, was so difficult to watch. Cancer sucks and it must have been so difficult for him.. I can't imagine how his family and friends are feeling. Just awful. x_x

Oh my god, yeah. I've never watched Technoblade because I don't really go on the minecraft side of youtube, but the news was everywhere so I took a look myself. It was extremely disheartening, and his final video made me cry. I didn't know this youtuber or his content at all, but I can tell how deeply he cared about what he did and he touched the lives of so many people. He was thinking about what to tell his community even on his deathbed... and he accepted his condition with his head held so high. I didn't get to know him, but I can tell he was an amazing person.

Cancer is such a scary thing, I was shocked to learn Technoblade was only a year younger than me. Life really isn't fair to kind people sometimes.

Yeah it is super sad. I can't even form words to say how painful this situation is, as well as any other where someone has an unfortunately early death. Things like this make me have even more health anxiety and that's something I've already struggled with for a long time. haha ):

On a different note (so things don't get too depressing) my husband and I started looking for new places to rent since our lease is up in 2 months. Already found a few nice apartments and have an inspection lined up for Saturday. Hope it goes well!! Really feeling the lack of rentals though, there were almost no good units available for the areas I wanted, and our budget is already fairly high for this city. -sweats- So we've only managed to apply for places in the same suburb again since it has the most lol.

My little brother loved Techno.

I personally found him to be a nice person, even if he was kinda loud? I never watched him but my little brother often did!

It's like having a void, when someone who's so well known and so in the public eye dies? Even if I wasn't close to them there have been times when people I've been close to have been affected by deaths, and it's...not a good feeling.

It really scares me. The odds are extremely low, but the almost intrusive thought I have at least every few days if not every day, that...what if someone who I'm close to, that someone who I love, dies? what if i die?

It's one of my biggest demons, despite never having experienced death much up close or anything. I'm extremely selfish in that if there's someone I love and forge a connection with, especially with my friends, I get pretty attached.

... it's scary but just keeping a positive outlook and knowing and hoping it won't happen to me or others is honestly all I'm able to do.

I want things to be okay, and luckily they are 99% of the time!!!

...Techno will be having fun in his own way, I'm sure of it!!

Been a bit! Sorry it took me so long to, er... pull back into this station! Life's been pretty busy, huh?? I hung out with some irls today and we're going to get our nails done Wednesday...and then we're going to head to the beach later this week! Funfunfun... It's difficult for me to get up in the morning due to my medication, but going out is healthy, and I need it.

My two sons came home on Pokemon Masters too, so I've been getting free serotonin from playing it LOL. How's everyone's summer, or winter if you're down south?

Seems like you have a very fun week ahead! <3

Congrats on getting the subway bois, I tried doing one 10-pull and of course didn't get anything lol. I'm constantly using up the free gems they give out and not getting as much as I want for it. oop.

Hard to say how summer's been in general personaly speaking, but weather-wise, it has been rainy and cold. Which I like, so I won't sweat and smell all the time.

I have wanted to draw a bit today, but I fell asleep really late and had to wake up about seven o'clock, and woke up earlier than that, so a few sketches was all I got out before I lost my confidence. Maybe I'll draw Rantanplan after dinner, however.

I like the sun when I'm out, and the rain when I'm in.

We really need some heavy rain over here, whilst it's not as dry as England, Scotland has been unusually rain-free this summer.

The rain here in West Australia has been pretty strong the last few days. Windy too, it's been cloudy for most of the week and the last few days of last week too. Not complaining since I love cloudy days but a couple of days ago it seemed to be sunny enough so we went out for a quick walk.. literally 30 seconds in and the sky gets gray and downpour starts. Still got my GO raid done at least. :'D;

I like cloudy weather too. I can't get myself to wear sunglasses often enough, so it's good when I don't hafta squint. I like rain too, getting wet doesn't bother me too much.

Weather is kinda a part of my childhood. I fondly remember the trips home from school, just me talking to myself about various stuff, in snow, rain, clear skies or cloudy ones.
