Well I'm not going to lie, this was actually a great episode. It was a very well-crafted battle where neither Ash or Stephan was dominating the fight, all the Pokemon pulled their own weight, and Cilan showed his skill in making... um... ...yams? Bread rolls? ...giant root-beer flavored jelly beans... the hell are those things?
I also wanna say I really liked the animation of Liepard's Shadow Claw attack. Hopefully it never has to cut off it's arm and replace it with a chainsaw.
...actually that would be pretty groovy.
The announcer was hilarious with his reactions to just about everything, he's like a Spanish soccer announcer.
"LIEPARD USES SHADOW BALL! IT'S NOT VERY EFFECTIVE! PALPITOAD USED SLUDGE WAVE! ZEBSTRIKA WAS POISONED! I LIKE JELL-O! SAWK USED BULK-UP! KROOKODILE USED AERIAL ACE! JELL-OOOOOOOOOAL!"
Woah, so Kotetsu is using Hydreigon right off the bat? Talk about jumping the gun, Spazzy McForgettfulpants. Well I'm sure Ash will have some of his more powerhouse fighters to help him here, like Krookodile or Leavanny or-
*sees in the preview he's using the three starters, Unfezant and Boldore in the fight*
Took them long enough. This was a good battle!
I couldn't help but remember Kenshiro during the beginning of Dageki's round.
I think the only thing that bothered me was the Aerial Ace...
This puts Dageki's reign to an end. Mwahahaha! Finally!
Seeing Dino's face in there surprised me. I didn't think they'd bother with a character made to fill spots in a Don championship. Then again he's just here to fill a spot anyway...
Huge chunk (6 episodes) got subbed at once and loved this episode I'd go as far to say this battle is on par with other series league's in terms of 3 on 3. The league has been pretty good to me so far maybe it's the break.
