I especially like your Miyazaki-esque style. The character art from your animation project also reminds me of the art from Eden of the East.

Ladies and gentlemen, I'm going to attempt what someone else is doing on this board (only I'm going to be a cheater and use only the quick, traditional pencil & paper method. BD
I'm... going to draw all 493 Pokemon! Including their different forms (excluding Spinda, because I never really understood how spot placement could equal a 'different form'. Every Pokemon changes in some way in different versions of the game) which equals around... 540 Pokemon, if my math is correct.
At the moment... I've managed 8. lol

Hmmk guys, since drawing them all in order got boring, I'm going to do something drastic to get them all done... anyone who comments in this thread is allowed to pick a Pokemon (which I haven't drawn yet) and I'll draw it so it contributes to this list. The order requests come in will be the order I draw them in. I can't give an exact date when they'll be drawn since life is unpredictable, but they don't take too long so I'll try and draw them asap. ^^ Request away! Please note that they'll all be drawn using pencil and paper, in my style, with no colour (unless I say so =P). However, if you so wish I'll add props, decoration and the like.

(Sorry about the rubbish quality, just using my scanner again after months of abandonment since I found wires compatible with it. I think I should stick to the camera method...)

Art block is over! =D (Or at least... I think so.)
So, the next update is for my friend Annie for Christmas. (I gave her these early, so it's totally safe to post them here) She created two dozen ATLA OCs for a harem (Ozai's harem, to be precise for you Avatar fans). I've drawn 4 of these OCs (one was drawn quite a while back, WARNING it might not be appropriate for some members and will be tagged as such!). She requested this two months ago (and she was willing to pay, had to decline since I don't take commissions, I'm not smart enough, oh and she's my buddy XD) and I said I'd draw her them for Christmas, in turn she's writing me a whole fanfic!
I also owe PK, so I'll start with her request next. =)

I have a little question (other people can answer this too if they should happen to come across it)... people have suggested this, but I'd like some more opinions... should I add pokeballs to the tree instead of baubles, or would that basically be copying other contestants' ideas and be more original just being left as it is?
haha Thanks! ;D In reality, a lot of these dex sketches (bar the more complicated Pokemon like Mewtwo) don't take that long at all (Pikachu took me about 10 minutes, if that). I'm a lot quicker with drawing in pencil than I am using a wacom (it's all just the matter of getting in the mood to draw them lol), so extra dex requests are no problem (and will probably really help me improve my skills).

Anyway, good luck on the sketches. I think my favorite so far is Bulbasaur. Also, if you think just drawing them is too boring, I'd suggest taking a look at Sombra29's Manual Pokedex (though that may be who you were refering to earlier). Drawing them in more actiony poses might make it less tedious.

I've been pretty inspired by MeiTei's artwork lately, so I tried posing my trainer-self and prized Pokemon like she's done with canon trainers. Also a design upgrade for trainer-self. Just a sketch, will experiment on it with SAI later.
Since I very recently purchased Paint Tool SAI, I'm going to experiment with colour a lot more this year. Wish me luck!
