Can we talk about how beautiful Kaze to Issho Ni is?

For those who don't know, this is the ending song to the Japanese version of Mewtwo Strikes Back.

It honestly fits the movie far better than the lame pop songs from the English version. Probably also my favorite Japanese Pokemon anime song, tied with Mezase Pokemon Master.

I prefer Chiisaki Mono and Tomo ni Arukou but that song is definitely great. It sounds like a summary of a mystical and ancient tale. Also, is it me or the singer sounds a lot like Rica?

It's not Rica.
It is actually an enka singer named Sachiko Kobayashi.
She has done some voice acting too. She actually voiced Miranda, the blue-haired girl at the beginning of the movie.

This song is so hauntingly beautiful that it's made me cry several times.
