A Staryu's Story
"Eh, you actually want to work with them? What a surprise. I think they'd consider letting you join, though. We'll see when we get there..." I walk off, escorting the group to a white building at the other end of town.

"Feel free to check out the town for a few minutes, or go to the stadium. I haven't seen Spire in a while, so I cannot say I am in a hurry to leave..." I say. "Meet me on the third floor when you're ready. That's where her room is located. Or, office, maybe...whatever. The woman barely does any actual work, so calling it an office feels like I'm giving her too much credit..." I walk inside.

Meanwhile....

Having resurrected myself once more, I continue my trek to locate the SHINY_VICTINI that MASTER_NAYA asked me to keep my eye on. I try to recall my exact orders, in case I am forgetting important intel...alas, I am not able to successfully remember what the human told me. No matter. I am confident I am not neglecting to recall any significant data. Now, where was I?

Oh, yes. It's night again, and the sky is clear. What a perfect night to submit a signal towards the sky. I guess I'll submit my log for the day shortly, but first, I need to rest. I hop off the cliff I was sitting on, and hover over the beautiful starlit ocean. However, it's not long before I enter the radius of a potential foe. Concerned, I scan the area. Hmm...it is a mere fish. A tiny fish. As the scan finishes, I gather more useful information about the entity.

> FRESH AND SALT WATER FISH-LIKE CREATURE
> POSES NO IMMEDIATE THREAT
> STRANGE PROPERTIES DETECTED IN THE CREATURE'S EYES

The creature is clearly not a threat. Master would be very pleased if I gained exp. Gathering power into my core, I launch POWER_GEM at the creature. A beautiful blue beam that sparkles like the stars in the sky...no other species can learn such an arsenal of spectacular offensive attacks. I am proud to be a STARYU.

The creature, which I have dubbed CRYFISH, has taken direct damage and has dived further into the water. I will make chase. CRYFISH will not get away from me. I pursue it.

.....

There is a strange light.

.......

CRYFISH is gone. New entity located. Commencing scan.

> FUCK
> CRYFISH HAS SUMMONED LARGE FRIEND
> WAY TO GO, IDIOT
> FLEE IMMEDIATELY

I flee from LEVIATHAN as it tries to ram me. I narrowly avoid. Surfacing, I attempt to flee...but am shot down by what appears to be HYDRO_PUMP. I currently have 71% HP remaining. Recoiling briefly as I sink into the ocean, I see LEVIATHAN attempting to once again ram me. I decide to fight back, launching PSYWAVE at the threat. The psychic wave of energy causes what appear to be multiple small CRYFISH to fall off. How bizarre. Nonetheless, LEVIATHAN appears to be damaged.

LEVIATHAN, however, keeps coming. I am unable to avoid what I deduce to be DOUBLE-EDGE, though at least the creature has seemingly taken mild recoil. I am sent flying to the surface once more, where I hover above the water at a mere 20% HP. Things look dire. It is doubtful that I will be able to flee the creature's sharpshooting...intact.

I look up at the stars, flashing my gem quickly, attempting to communicate with sky friends. Perhaps they will be able to help m--

I am blasted once again by HYDRO_PUMP. Sent sailing into a cliffside, I fall onto a rocky beach as the creature approaches to finish me off. 2% HP remaining...I fear what the brute will do to me after I fall unconscious. I'm sorry, master.

...is...is the sky getting brighter? What's happening?

> NEW DATA RECEIVED
> DOWNLOADING...15% COMPLETE

...! My friends have sent me new data! Am I being sent moves to help me defeat this beast? With newfound hope, I manage to pick myself up. I have to survive until the download finishes...LEVIATHAN notices, and pelts me with more of its concentrated water beams. I easily avoid the first one, somehow...but the second one only narrow misses me, taking out a large portion of the rock wall behind me.

31% COMPLETE...

I'm getting closer...wait, what's this that was blasted off along with the rock wall? Scanning...

Bag_Water_Stone_Sprite.png

> OCEAN_ROCK
> POTENTIAL AQUATIC ORIGINS
> HOLDS STRANGE TRANSFORMATION PROPERTIES
> GO AHEAD, TOUCH IT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS

I suppose there's nothing to lose. I touch the stone. Finding myself surrounded by a blue veil of light, I briefly find myself losing consciousness...

...I get up, and look into the water to see my reflection. What's...this...?

121.png

> TRANSFORMATION INTO STARMIE 100% COMPLETE
> DOWNLOAD 65% COMPLETE...

I am now a STARMIE. Oh, goody. Master will be so proud of me.

LEVIATHAN, having noticed my transformation, fires off more HYDRO_PUMPS. Its aim is astounding, as even after the speed boost granted by my transformation, I remain barely able to evade the beams consecutively. However, my download is nearly complete...I only need to hold out a little longer. Deciding to take a chance, I fly over the approaching creature, firing off a quick barrage of star-shaped beams from my core. SWIFT. The technique is weak, but very accurate.

My download almost complete, I fly back to the cliffside in order to maintain distance.

> DOWNLOAD 100% COMPLETE
> THUNDER SUCCESSFULLY MEMORIZED

Wonderful. An ELECTRIC-TYPE attack will surely be useful against the beast.

...what's this? The area is suddenly covered in a thick fog. Has the creature deployed a MIST terrain effect...? I illuminate my core in effort to easier see. The first thing I see illuminated...the creature lunging from the water towards me. Narrowly avoiding, I regain some distance and begin charging THUNDER...but in order for the attack to successfully hit, I'll have to aim carefully.

The creature, enraged at missing even at such close quarters, begins launching a barrage of its HYDRO_PUMPS at me. I keep hovering towards it, swerving through its attacks. The attack is ready. I can feel it. Just a little closer...

Upon getting close to LEVIATHAN, the creature jumps high out of the water, radiating a subtle dark aura...is this the FEINT_ATTACK technique I've heard about? It's said to have exceedingly impressive accuracy...it's all or nothing now.

I release the energy I had stored, the electricity immediately concentrating itself in the sky directly above me. It's forming what appears to be a small dark thunder cloud. A bolt of lightning crashes down, bathing the whole area in blinding light...

....the light clears. The mist still present, I shine my light onto the water, wary the creature will once again lash out at me...but instead, I see about around two dozen unconscious CRYFISH floating there, with LEVIATHAN nowhere to be seen. Where did these CRYFISH appear from so suddenly? Confused, further analysis of the area allows me to conclude that LEVIATHAN sunk into the depths after being electrocuted. Wonderful. I can even feel the EXP being processed in my core.

Flying off to the cliffside to regenerate my HP, I intend to soon return to the SHINY_VICTINI hunt. The entity is nearby....I can sense it.

Eden decided to purchase a few Moomoo Milks from the Vending Machine before and was about to show Gate the way to the Colosseum, until someone taps on their shoulder. It turned out to be their sibling from earlier. "Eden! What the hell? I've been looking all Orre just to find you. And I had to do it all by my fucking legs cuz my motorcycle broke down! Just what have you been doing for the past week?!" "Ah, sorry, Ariel! I've befriended a few new pals back at Sinnoh! Hey Gate, this is my sibling Ariel. Ariel, this is Gate." After staring at each other awkwardly, they just shook their hands and nodded. "Hey, your sibling over here just saved me and my Ditto-Nate's life from getting jailed and interrogated by a bunch of crooks. They're a nice kid." "Huh, usually they're the kind of person who'd just loot whatever they can before getting the hell outta dodge, but that's a nice thing to know." "Anyway, we're here cuz this lady named Naya wants to meet with someone, and Gate apparently wants to join the guys at ONBS. Wanna come with us?" "Well, I'm never the kind of person who'd ever trust the news, but since I'm bored and don't have anything else to do ever since taking out all of those Rattatas, sure."

---

The Victini is panicking as the Escape Pod turns out to be quite the hectic, frenetic ride. The apple-like creature peers into the window of the rocket and notices a strange, pitch black and orange Mewtwo flying off. The Victini barely manages to steer it away just as the Shadow Mewtwo notices the strange vehicle and calmly throws a few spheres of darkened aura energy at it just to deter it away. The Victini then decides to chug a can of beer stored in the Pod before continuing on.

Inside the admittedly rather refined looking ONBS Building, I take the elevator up to the third floor. I open the door to Spire's...room, and am greeted by a small purple creature floating a foot away from my face. A...Minior. Has the girl caught more Pokemon since we last talked? Raising my hand up, I gently push the....purple shooting star creature out of my face. It seems slightly disappointed in my reaction, and flies back to laying on Spire's bed. It hops around on it while staring right at me...uh, okay...

I look around the office...just as messy as I remember it. Even messier than my room. Books, a tablet, a few game systems, a laptop, a Cleffa plush, a Skitty plush, a Sableye plush, a Eevee plush, a Bonsly plush...the girl has all sorts of stuff laying across the room. There is an official looking office desk, a huge thing mounted to the corner with a massive computer stationed on it. The desk and that computer must have cost at least $150,000 Pokedollars each...yet they are being owned by one of the biggest slobs I know. I look down at my feet and see Gulpin eating a piece of pizza he found on the floor. Goddamnitt, Spire.

...where was she, anyway? Wait, there's a notice attached to the door of the room..."AWAY FROM OFFICE". Heh, there's that word again. "Office." All she does for ONBS is handle phone calls a two or three days a week, otherwise all she does is fiddle on her gadgets all day. I'm quite a nerd, but Spire blows me out of the water. My depression and whatnot prevents me from getting into a huge abundance of media and games, but that girl, she has watched a ridiculous amount of stuff. She's the epitome of a hikikomori. She only goes outside to visit Emma, get food, watch the night sky, and do a few other things.

....oh, right. That's where she is. On the roof, looking at the sky. I take a pen out of my purse and write "to roof" under the other words on the notice, so Eden and Gate know where to find us. I walk to the stairs with Chula and Surskit and go up to the roof. I notice the cave that Miror B. once used as his hideout...it's officially closed off by ONBS, but me and spire have been inside many times since. Spire's usually too afraid to go very far...but lately, she's been catching more pokemon. She's hardly a novice trainer any more, even if she wouldn't admit it.

There she is. Right on top of the cave entrance, sitting on top of a slab of rock. A narrow staircase has been carved into the rock...did she catch a pokemon to do this for her, I wonder? Climbing up, I see a flat, brown and yellow fish-like creature has been watching me climb from the rock slab. A...Stunfisk? Aww, man. How did fucking spire manage to get one of these things? They're so cute...

"Ah, good, you didn't try to electrocute my special guest. I was worried there for a second." says a voice from further ahead. "Ateraya, you've been a bit less of a silly girl lately. Here, have another green Poke Bean."

I look up to see a girl with neck length pink hair standing about ten feet in front of me. She's wearing what appears to be a semi-transparent pink nightgown, and is holding a shiny Teddiursa in her arms. It seems to be chewing on a red poke bean Spire had previously given it.

"Hey, Spire...uh, girl, I should probably tell you to put on less revealing clothing. There are boys meeting us soon. Boys and a....gender neutral person, I guess." I say to her.

"Ah, thank you, Naya. I would just die being seen in this transparent thing!" she blushes. She reaches into a white bag she brought with her, and pulls out a Great Ball. Tossing it in the air, a small blue elephant pokemon is released. A Phanpy.

"Aww, how cute, Spire. Don't get me wrong, I love my adorable team members...even if only half of them are currently present..." I say. "But yours might be even cuter than mine! Where are you getting all these things?"

"Ah, you know...I'll admit I've used the service you use, once or twice..." says spire. "I....feel so bad admitting it....I've always wanted to be a good girl, but you, Ms. Naya....y-you're a bad influence on me, just like brother said!"

"...don't let those bigots get to you, spire." I scold. I'm about done letting spire be influenced so easily.

"I'm sorry, Naya...I like you. I do. It's just, some of the Kids Grid members....besides one or two of them, they don't really like you. Especially since you've been taking those...pills...you look even more different than when I last saw you...and you even got that sur--"

"Th-that's enough of that for now, spire...you're correct, but please, do not mention that, uh, situation when my acquaintances arrive...." I blush.

"Oh, right! I had nearly forgotten! Phanpy, go keep watch at the roof's entrance. I wouldn't want those boys to see me like this!"

"....wait, you're not going to change?" I ask.

"Not until they get here, silly! Do you have any idea how comfortable I am, Naya..?" she giggles. Ugh. I resist the urge to facepalm. I know what she's up to, but I told her I'm not doing this again with her. I fucking told her this like three times. She is the most ridiculous lesbian I have ever seen.

I show to the Black Mareep scientists a conceptual picture of the cellular reversion chamber which I drew, and they get to work. I watch as one scientist meticulously pieces together microscopic components inside what look like skinny little needles. "How's it coming along?" I ask the scientist.
"Ugh, it's tedious," scoffs the man, "but I can probably finish the rest of these miniature temporal rays by tomorrow morning if I hurry."
"Maybe I can help you," I suggest. "I've watched you put those together."
"Sure, thanks! As long as no one mentions to my mercurial boss, Frank, that I let someone unauthorized handle an official Black Mareep project."
"Ah, relax," I say, taking a seat and grabbing a pair of tweezers. "I'm the guy who requested this machine in the first place. It's not like he'd mind!"
"Haha, I guess so."
"What's your name?" I ask.
"Larry Jones," answers the scientist.

-

The ONBS Building's elevator opens at the top floor. Eden and Ariel step out, and the hacker rolls out in his wheelchair, Ditto-nator perched on his shoulder. The four proceed through the door to the roof, and Gate accidentally treads directly into a Phanpy waiting on the other side, causing it to let out an upset cry. "Whoops...sorry, little Phanpy," he apologizes as he pulls back and wheels around it.
Ditto-nator spots Naya with another character higher up on the mountain which the building meshes with. "You!' he calls out, stretching his body upwards to get a better look. "Are you person who goes by Spire!? What do you know of me and how?"

"Oh...they're here, spire."

I walk down to their level.

"Welcome to me and spire's hideout. Don't even think about walking up there, that filthy lesbian slut is occupied finally putting something decent on for once." I say.

"Eh, you tease me too much, sis..." giggles Spire, now right next to me. I look down. She's wearing a thin black hoodless sweatjacket with a zipper on the front. A logo of what appears to be a pink minior is on the back of it....with japanese text, meaning it is likely from some anime.

"...you couldn't even be bothered to wear pants?" I tease. In reality, the sweatshirt covers spire fine. The girl, who is only a few years younger than me at 20, manages to be even more petite than me, being an inch shorter than me at 5'5 with the same tiny frame. "Also, I don't get why you like calling me 'sis' all the time...I'm your ex girlfriend, not your sister."

"Hush, Nayami...or else you'll find yourself stepping on Stunfisk...if she thinks people are being rude to me, sometimes she'll hide under the ground in front of them. Ehehehe..." giggles spire, who can be more devious than she lets on. "Ahem. Welcome, Gate, Eden, and...Ditto-nator." She frowns when looking at Ditto-nator.

"How do you know our names?" asks Gate

"Oh, Naya told me earlier...yeah, she's been so talkative ever since she told me about that talking Ditto she found. She said it matched up with something I had mentioned to her earlier. I looked into the matter, and sure enough, he really is a universe traveling superditto!" warns Spire. "Fortunately, I had already warned Black Mareep, a company I often buy from, about the threat earlier..."

"How much earlier?" I ask

"Oh, uh, maybe a week....or two weeks....or one week....or, actually, maybe it was three days....uh--"

"Yeah, okay, I get it. You were high on that blue plant again, and have been in a constant haze for the last two weeks and don't remember a thing." I retort, once again annoyed at spire's ridiculous incompetence.

"No, no, that's not it. I mean, I know I was high when I sent the warning, for whatever that's worth." blushes spire

"...I'm still pretty sure that plant you're smoking is known about by, like, you and two dozen other people. I've literally never heard of it outside of yo--"

"Oh, hush, Ms. Naya! Please, oh please be nice to me in front of our guests..." moans Spire. "And you've done it with me a few times, too, don't play innocent, hehe."

"...touche. Wait, who's this other person?" I ask

"Oh, that's Ariel, my sibling!" answers Eden. Ariel gives me and Spire a thumbs up in response.

"Ah, uh, okay. Anyways, Spire, can you explain how you know about our squishy friend here?" I ask

"Yes. You see, my younger sister, she's very mentally ill. She's staying in an Aether House being cared to by some of the foundation's employees. But...ever since she's moved there, it's only gotten worse. It started out with just very basic stuff, and she was only staying there initially because of minor emotional issues alongside the fact that she was homeless and an orphan." states Spire. "But....shortly after she started staying there, she started hearing things. She hears voices, and sees visions. She sees terrifying creatures from other worlds...horrifying entities that were never meant to be seen by the naked eye...sort of like Mimikyu, but the vague details she's given about the horrifying creatures sound nothing at all like mimikyu. Tentacles....bat wings...mouths in strange places....giant scythes...dark silhouettes taking on strange, sometimes human, sometimes....otherworldly shapes... "

"See, there's that superstitious nonsense I was talking about before." jabs Ditto-nator

"Ms. Naya, please keep that evil little blob quiet. It came from another world, too. That's why my sister had a vision of it. She gets visions of anything that comes from other worlds, apparently." explains spire

"But I'm not from another world, I'm from a different time period." says Ditto-nator. "You don't even have your facts straight, lady."

"Another universe....another time period...if you actually understood how this stuff worked a little better, you'd see that the two things you describe are one in the same." I say in response

"Um, yes, what that girl said." says Spire

"Naya mentioned something about that earlier....I'm awfully sorry to hear what your sister's been goin' through..." says Eden. "Ah, you ever try and investigate that there matter a little further? Sounds like something awfully fishy must be causing those nightmares of hers..."

"Obviously." I say. "Alas, Spire's never been able to turn up anything conclusive..."

"....s-she can't even leave her room..." spire starts tearing up a bit. "E-emma...please talk to me like a person again..."

"....oh dear. This, uh, doesn't seem to be a good time, guys..." I say

"N-no, it's fine, I just..." spire tries to wipe her tears away. "I need....I need to go somewhere. I need to go somewhere I sometimes like going when I'm really sad..."

"Knowing you, Spire, that could mean at least five entirely different things." I say.

"Gate, Eden, Ariel, and Naya...please escort me to the S.S. Libra wreckage site. I have something I want to do there." she requests. "I will gladly give you more information for your services. Naya, is that floating red vehicle still operational?"

"Eh, that thing? It should still be running. It's hidden somewhere in Pyrite Cave." I say

"Then it's settled. Naya, you go get that machine for me. I know we could just fly over, but I really like piloting that thing. In a way, it's cool, knowing that it was stolen from that horrible, horrible organization that used to terrorize us...." states Spire. "Lately, when I've been down, I've been going to the Pyrite Colosseum to train my team and get my mind off things. You know, Naya, what you always told me about pokemon battles being fun....you were right. I'm sorry it took me so long to get into them."

"I...I understand, spire." I say. "I'll go into that cave shortly. Gate, Eden, Ariel, Ditto...one or two of you can come with me if you'd like....but I'm fully capable of handling my own."

"Indeed, she is. You can either help her find that vehicle, or come to the colosseum with me. There's still a lot of people there even now. Hey, maybe we'll even get to battle each other..." Returning her Stunfisk to her Dive Ball, and Phanpy to her Great ball, Spire walks off, still holding her light green Teddiursa.

"Hmm...I'll be off, too. Gate, do you have my phone number?" I hand Gate a slip of paper with my number on it. "I'll be off into that cave now. If either of you want to assist me, be my guest." Walking towards the cave entrance, I motion for Chula to break open the metal beams blocking access. Consuming the Blast Seed I had given him earlier, he spits out an explosive breath that destroys the beams.

"...don't think I've forgotten about our plan with your Starmie, Eden. But for now, we're helping my friend. Because she's going to be helping me even more soon. I may be a, err, tsundere, of sorts, but even I like to help my friends when I can. And you'd better be okay with that." I walk off into the cave with Gulpin and Surskit behind me. I grab a lantern off the wall to help me see in the darkness.

OOC: I know I've been posting a prepostorus amount of text lately, that's just how I often do things in RPs. I'll probably start posting a little less frequently when Naya and Spire sort some of their stuff out.

also, if you see that I've edited a post (a thing I do a lot), it is generally a wise idea to go back and either reread it or at least skim it. Because I made quite a few relevant edits to this post...I totally didn't forget Ariel existed until five minutes ago...I also edited a new section or two into Spire's intro post (my previous post).

"Well, I'll go with you if Eden will," Gate replies. "You up for it?"

-

Sometime later, Larry and I finish the last of the micro time rays. "There," he exclaims, "now to install them in the chamber itself, which should be ready by now thanks to my colleagues. Thanks for the help!"
Having been dismissed by the scientist Jones, I wander off into another area of the Black Mareep building I'm being held in. Something behind a door catches my attention, so I peer in. To my surprise, a scientist appears to be monitoring data from a sunglasses-clad Ditto on a huge display screen. "D-Ditto-nator? You've been keeping tabs on him this whole time?"
"H-hey, this is private!" the worker yelps. Suddenly, I'm seized from behind by the same commanding officer from before.
"You'd better listen unless you want strapped back into your chair," he orders. "That's pretty sensitive stuff."
"Gotcha."

Meanwhile, the Escape Pod automatically lands in an obscure spot somewhere in a far off region where it was set to go. The shiny Victini doesn't much mind the confinement, but pukes a little, from a combination of the shaky ride and being tipsy from downing the beer can that somehow ended up with its snacks and drinks.

"Yeah, I'm all in for it!" exclaimed Eden cheerfully, "What about you, Ariel?" "....Whatever, fine. I'd rather go back home and sleep, but I guess I'll kill some time with you louts." "Then that settles it. Though, Ariel, you're a bit on the gloomy side, you alright?" Ariel just shrugs "Whatevs, my big siblin' Ariel's just like that. They're just the grouchy kinda person. Don't mind 'em~"

The dazed Mythical Pokemon gracelessly attempts to fly off whilst holding all the items it had, only to plop downwards headfirst, exhausted and in pain as it tumbles from various hills with varied steepness all the way down to a strange meadow filled with Heracross. The swarm of muscular beetles then curiously swarmed all over the stupefied animal attempts to at least walk properly and clearly scan its surroundings, only for it to just give up and slump down. The leader of the swarm just shrugs before the entire swarm then runs off as someone then approaches the barely conscious Pokemon.

"Oh, hello again." I say as I notice Gate, Eden, and Ariel come up from behind me. "Decided to come with me after all? Hey, how about one of you shine this place up better? You got any Pokemon that can do that?"

"Remember my little psychic buddy, Gate?" Eden asks as they send out their Beheeyem. "Can ya do us a favor and brighten up the place a bit?" Beheeyem nods, and illuminates the lights on its fingers as we walk. It's not extremely bright, and the glow from its fingers is somewhat ominous in nature. It also gradually shifts from between being red tinted, green tinted, and yellow tinted. But it's enough to see decently.

"Thanks, Eden." I say, putting down my lantern now that I don't need it. "Say, did you guys know what this cave used to be used for? It's an abandon mine. Miror B. and his goons used to hide out here. Miror B. was a Cipher admin back when that group was still around....but a little secret is that this cave isn't totally abandon, and the ONBS entrance is not the only way to get in here. See, there's this one group that branched off from Cipher....they illegally sell rare Pokemon. Strong pokemon like hydreigon, rare pokemon like milotic, shiny pokemon, and pokemon that are valued for other reasons....it's a naive statement to say that there's no business for this stuff, especially here in orre, where wild pokemon are scarce. Snag some person's shiny pokemon from, say, hoenn, come back here, find a buyer. It's easy. Incidentally, there's a rumor that Miror B. is running the group...I wish I had the connections to tell me whether or not that was true."

"Orre's no stranger to that sort of business..." mumbles Ariel

"Even if I'm not a member of that group, I have some affiliates that are. I've gotten rare pokemon from them in the past...where do you think I got Chula from?" I ask, glancing at the gulpin. "Even if he's no berserker in battle, or a shiny, he's a rare pokemon. He has his hidden ability, which a certain somebody saw come into effect shortly after I bought him."

"How ethical." teases Gate

"Hmph, you're not exactly an angel yourself, you know. " I retort. "Anyway, this vehicle should be located in the depths of the cave. There's an underground lake there....I wouldn't be surprised if we ran into some trouble, whether that be a strong wild pokemon or one of those goons I told you about. I know some of the members, but don't think the entire group is safe."

Kate, who has really nothing to do besides beat up trainers, suddenly grabbed her laptop and started hacking Black Mareep to collect some information about the Shiny Victini and other useful things that can assist her in this journey to hunt down the famed Pokemon. "Besides, I'm a former employee of ONBS so I have some experience on this until... some things happened.", she muttered while typing some text at the speed of light to enter the ever-secure Black Mareep servers. She also inserted a virus to make the system think the hacker who hijacked their surveillance cameras attacked them. Lots and lots of unneeded info appeared on the screen, and as Kate is scrolling through them, five important info appeared.
Code:
Black Mareep Logbook v3.1127

[8/11/2017] CAPTURE: Trainer #06491749 "MegaPod12"
[8/12/2017] EXECUTE: Temporal Ray Machine
[8/12/2017] FINISH: Temporal Ray Machine
[8/12/2017] DISMISS: Trainer #06491749 "MegaPod12"
[8/12/2017] TRACK: Ditto-nator
"Ditto-nator? MegaPod? Those names seem familiar... And the Temporal Ray Machine's creation seems pretty suspicious. Is this blackmailing?", the former ONBS employee said in confusion. Kate just scratched her head, turned off and brought her laptop, and just left to Orre and visit the ONBS building in an attempt to get back to her job.

...

A doorbell rang while the Black Mareeps are busy just after finishing the machine MP blackmailed them to do. Larry then whispered at his workmates, "Is this Frank? If he knew that we fell into a blackmail, we're dead."
"Just open it, idiot! MP might be outta here now, so it's okay to just pretend nothing happened!", an employee almost spoke loudly that Frank might've heard it. Larry then just rushed to the door and opened it up. "Guys and gals, ladies and gentlemen, I'm back-", Frank's talking was interrupted. "CODE RED. SYSTEM BREACHED. ATTACKER IDENTIFIED AS KA-2&*$((-#&7@9//"+9#-#*"--+79@ THE HACKER WHO WAS BEHIND THE PORYGONZ HIJACK. SEARCH AND RAID IS RECOMMENDED."
"WHAT?!?!", every employee ended up shouting the same words. The CEO then requested for employees who would go and ransack the same hacker who attempted to steal information and destroy the surveillance system. Everyone just rushed to find the forsaken hacker and Frank went out as well, but they never knew that Kate was behind this....

Cellular Reversion - Test I
As Naya led Gate and company deeper into the cavernous area, the group felt the ground start to rumble. "What was that?" asked the hacker His wheelchair nearly tumbled onto its side, but Eden and Ariel helped him steady it. "Thanks," Gate said. Suddenly, five wild Excadrill pop out of the ground in front of them.
"These metal moles appear hostile," Ditto-nator warns. "I suggest you have your Golurk make quick work of them."
"On it," replies the hacker, sending out the earthen automaton. "Use Magnitude!" Golurk attacked all of the wild Excadrill at once with the ground-shaking move. The Excadrill got up and began retaliating with attacks of their own. "You three wanna help?" Gate asked the other trainers without looking away from the battle. "I'd like to catch one of these guys."

The Black Mareep commander scooped up the shiny Victini, having tracked its location to the Chroma Highlands in Almia using the Escape Pod homing device given to him by me. "Good thing you hadn't wandered too far off after that Pinsir damaged the Metapod-shaped rocket that was supposedly containing you," he says. "What's with that guy and Metapod, anyways?" Suddenly, an alarm on his communicator sounds, prompting him to read an urgent message. "A system breach...by that crippled trainer I was stalking earlier? This'll be an easy hunt." The commander chained the shiny Victini to himself with what appeared to be a manacle, but one which then surrounded the Mythical Pokémon's entire petite body in a small forcefield for security. He sent out his Articuno and flew off for Orre, where the hacker is known to be thanks to surveillance from Ditto-nator's restraining device.

Inside my soaring Metapod airship -an exact replica of which I am unaware now exists in the BMC building -I behold my prize from Black Mareep Corporation: a silver and purple cellular reversion chamber, designed to look like a shiny Cofagrigus tomb per my request. "This is gonna be good," I say, entering certain dates into the touchpad, programming the machine to revert different regions of my body to a previous state. My Dhelmise and Braixen watch me curiously as I open the lid and climb inside, nestling perfectly inside the chamber's dark gray lining. The entire inside of the chamber is filled with what look like hundreds of needles primed to pierce me, giving the appearance of a macabre torture chamber. I press a button, and the lid closes on me. Rather than piercing my skin, the needles simply press against me, then release blue light from their tips with a whirring sound. I feel tingly all over for several seconds, then the chamber opens automatically. I step out to see Braixen nudging Dhelmise with her elbow.
"Y'know, if Golisopod were here watching this, he'd be freaking out," she chuckles to the Sea Creeper Pokémon.
"Yeah..." I reply, "that's one thing I miss about him." Braixen's jaw nearly drops.
"You can understand us again?" she asks me.
"Yeah! One of the things I altered about myself was my brain's language interpretation area," I explain. "I reset it to our time in that other world where I was a Fennekin."
"That's marvelous, Captain!" Dhelmise remarks in his ghostly voice. "What else did you change?"
"Well, we might have an opportunity to test my rediscovered powers," I answer. "We're approaching the Orre region, because from what I gleaned, that's where Ditto-nator's last known location is."
"Ditto-what?" Braixen interrupts.
"He's that super dangerous Ditto from the future," I explain. "Remember him from the Spirit World? He was the one who thwarted my attempt to save you using time travel so that he could ultimately kill me."
"Ah," she responds.
"Are you positive you're ready to confront that slimy scallywag?" challenges Dhelmise.
"If we don't, he's bound to come back and haunt us later," I say, to which my two Pokémon nod in agreement. Soon, my aircraft arrives at Pyrite Town, camouflaged with invisibility cloaking. "Hey...it's that guy again with his Articuno! And he brought more Black Mareep mooks..." I watch from my disguised ship as the Black Mareep officials make their way towards a cave entrance by the roof of some sort of building. "Let's follow them."

Eden sends out their Golisopod in response to Gate's question. "Sure thing, pal! Alright, Clydey! Go use whatever the hell that slash-y thing was back at Coronet!" Clyde, having at least a decent idea on what Eden meant, uses his Wide Slash, smacking away three of the mischievous moles, leaving only two left. "Thanks kid, now Golurk, get that other one with a Hammer Arm, the last one shall be our new ally." The Golurk punches down one of the Excadrill on the head with said attack, crushing the mole down into a hole body-first, like a whack-a-mole target. The hacker then catches the last remaining Excadrill with ease with a Luxury Ball. "Now that we got that out of the way, let's move o-..........what's that rumbling noise just no-oh no...." The group turned around, facing a new group of Black Mareep soldiers that just charged into the room they're in, this time lead by the Black Mareep commander that shot down Eden and Gate. The Articuno was about to aim with its Mind Reader once more..... until it was suddenly tackled down and knocked unconscious by a Head Smash by a Tyrantrum with Rock Head that was quickly sent out by Ariel. "Ah, another group of 'em Black Mareep creeps." noted Eden in a slightly frustrated tone. "Black Mareep, huh? So what, those guys just use Mareep with dyed fur?" Ariel dryly responded. Snarling in anger, the Black Mareep commander sent out a Mow-Rotom, then ordered his troops to send out hordes of Pokemon after them as Eden, Ariel, and Gate braced themselves for one hell of a match.

"Oooh, Black Mareep? Hey, I got you guys to thank for helping to give a little, gooey acquaintance of mine some incentive to work with me!" I say

"Shut up and fight them, Naya..." moans Ditto-nator.

One of the male soldiers sends out a Dusclops and A-Grimer, and a female next to him sends out Castform and Lurantis.

"I got these two." I say. "Though this fight might be a little problematic for just me, Chula and Sur--"

Surskit does not hesitate as she sends a windstorm of ice and snow towards the castform and lurantis. The mantis-like pokemon is obviously distressed as it takes high damage, and the castform is hurt too.

"Eh? Where did you even learn that move?" I ask surskit as she gleefully hops around in the piles of snow scattered around, the result of using Blizzard. The lurantis attempts to follow up with a leaf blade to the face, but surskit dodges by jumping under the snow, emerging behind the grass-type, and finishing it off with Ice Beam. The grass-type pokemon is visibly sad as it collapses into the snow. Me and Chula, both somewhat surprised at surskit having taken the initiative with the ice-type attacks she somehow managed to learn, watch the scene unfold.

"Uh...okay, then. I guess we'll focus on the dusclops and a-grimer, then, chula." I say.

As Naya handles that Double Battle, Ariel and Gate were fighting off a series of Horde Battles against various Noivern, Lilligant, Crobat, Exeggutor, Magneton, Tangrowth, and other varieties of Pokemon, whilst Eden themself gets in a two-against-one 'Multi' Battle against the Black Mareep Commander and the same lackey that accompanied him earlier back when chasing after MegaPod. The resultant battle ended up going well in Eden's favor, not just because the commander had his Articuno taken down, but also since Eden used an Eevee with Extreme Evoboost and Baton Pass, which resulted in Eden's side sweeping through the entire duos' teams with two highly empowered Pokemon (their Mega Banette had Psych Up). The commander punched the floor various times in frustration after what was quite the one-sided match, while his lackey just sighs as he walks away dragging the commander after giving Eden the prize money, passing by MegaPod, who barely witnessed the battles, and couldn't help but feel that he might've noticed a rather familiar Golisopod as he peeked on the battles.

I successfully finish off dusclops by pummeling it with chula's shadow balls. Although, the ghostly cyclops had managed to lay a curse on the gulpin earlier in the battle. A ghostly purple spike manifests to drive itself into chula's flesh once again, and having taken such damage multiple times during the battle, the gulpin faints.

"Aww, no..." I moan as I return him to his ultra ball. "Finish these annoying pokemon, surskit."

by this time, the area of the cave where the group was fighting in had gotten even snowier. The pond skater pokemon was completely obsessed with launching blizzards and ice beams, and had finished off the castform with such moves after she had fainted lurantis. She was currently occupied gleefully skating around on a patch of ice she had coated an area of the ground with. The alolan grimer, not happy with surskit ignoring the battle, slithers over and attempts to bite her with poison fang, but she easily skates around the attack and strikes with bubblebeam. The grimer fainting, the Black Mareep soldier returns it to its poke ball.

"Move in on the bug!" I hear from a voice behind me. Ah, the third soldier, who had attacked me shortly after his female comrade had her castform and lurantis taken out by surskit. A magcargo and octillery simultaneously launch star-shaped blasts of fire at surskit, who avoids the octillery's Fire Blast but is hit by magcargo's. The impact sends her sliding into a wall, which she had also previously covered in ice...she opens her eyes to see some of the ice and snow covering the ground melting as a result of the fire attack. Angry to see her precious ice being melted, she pelts magcargo with bubblebeam, fainting it. Jumping back on the icy floor, she gathers speed as she skates circles around octillery, ultimately ramming into it with Lunge. Tipping over while emitting a strange cry, the octopus pokemon tips over, fainted.

"It's a good thing gulpin had damaged that octillery previously..." I comment. "Anyways, I've handled about all I can handle. I may be good at pokemon battles, but the only pokemon I have on hand are these two pre evolutions. I wish drifblim and staryu would come back already..." I moan, annoyed at drifblim. I'll admit that I'm somewhat impressed by staryu's dedication to tracking the shiny victini, however. "I hope we're close to being finished with these damned thugs..."

Meanwhile, Spire was facing off against her final opponent in the tournament she had entered in Pyrite Colosseum. Just a small time tourney the stadium hosts multiple times a day, but the prize money is large.

Her opponent was a young man in a dark purple trenchcoat. His shoulder length hair was black, straight, and evenly-lengthed, though the hair in front of his face was cut to end just above his eyes. His expression was constantly neutral.

"Hmm...I've seen you a few times before, woman....heh. I'll test you." he says with a slight grin

"Uh, 'test'? You aren't going to go all out?" asks an annoyed Spire. In response, the man's expression becomes neutral again as he shrugs at Spire. He tosses out a Luxury Ball and a Net Ball. Out of the Luxury Ball emerges a small, black humanoid creature with an appearance resembling a gothic girl in a miniskirt. Gothorita. Out of the Net Ball emerges a large spider-like pokemon with its head encased in a bubble of water....Araquanid. On Spire's side, Stunfisk and a small green spider-like Pokemon are ready to battle. Spinarak.

"Araquanid...drown that other spider." mumbles the boy. Araquanid lunges towards Spinarak, crashing into it at the same time as a blast of water the water bubble pokemon had created for the attack. Liquidation. Spinarak is unable to avoid as she's sent flying into the stadium wall. Hanging on with low HP, she screeches as she tries to contort herself. The araquanid's ability, water bubble, added a lot of power to the attack.

"Ateraya, electrocute it with Thunderbolt!" shouts spire. Stunfisk smiles as she launches a stream of electricity towards the water/bug type. By this time, spinarak has returned to the battle.

"Spinarak, Leech Life on that Gothorita!" orders Spire. Spinarak scuttles over to Gothorita and lunges towards it, attempting to suck its blood. However, the gothorita dodges as it sends a rainbow colored beam of energy towards spinarak. Psybeam. Spinarak narrowly avoids by jumping out the way, this time successfully sinking her fangs into the gothic pokemon's flesh with leech life. Gothorita lets out a girlish shriek befere smacking away spinarak, who had regained much of her health from the move.

"Ugh. Squash it, girl." mumbles the man. Nodding in response, the Manipulate Pokemon shoots out another psybeam. Unable to avoid this time, Spinarak's newly regained health isn't enough to stop it from fainting. The spider lets out a loud shriek as she faints, and spire returns her to her ball.

"You're good...alright, you got this. Go, M--"

"Don't bother. I'm only using two Pokemon for this battle." says the man. "Did you already forget, Pinkie? I'm merely testing you."

"B-but this is the final round of tonight's tournament! It's supposed to be four verses four!" complains spire

"Then track me down after I gather my prize money from the attendant. I've got a funny feeling I'll be seeing you again, after all..." says the man with a grin. Spire holds up her finger in confusion as she thinks of a response to his cryptic statement, but her attention goes back to the battle as she sees Ateraya tackled by another liquidation.

"Oh no..." worries spire as her stunfisk takes the super effective attack. However, stunfisk quickly gets up.

"Tch...that funny looking flounder of yours is sturdier than it looks. Araquanid, go in again." orders the boy. However, aqaquanid ignores him and stands in place, twitching a little bit as some sparks fly off its body. "...what are you doing? Move."

"Oooo...static paralyzed it. Go for a Discharge!" shouts spire. She looks over at the man, seeing him make a quick worried expression. Quickly wiping it off his face, he goes back to being stoic. Stunfisk flops over to lessen the distance between her and both the araquanid and the gothorita. Jumping in the air, she smiles as she lets loose a storm of electricity. Discharge. Araquanid and the gothorita find themselves both electrocuted by the attack, both kneeling over fainted. The man across from her returns them to their net ball and luxury ball, respectively.

"Hmph..." he says, annoyed. Giving spire a thumbs down, he begins to leave the stadium.

"Where is he going?" wonders spire, returning her pokemon to their poke balls as she follows the boy. She enters the lobby, and after picking up her 20,000 pokedollar prize money from the attendant, runs off after the boy. She catches him on the run-down metal bridge that connects the colosseum and town.

"Sigh...I knew it..." mumbles the man as he sees spire approaching. "Spire, right? My name is Willow. I run a certain gang that operates out of this town."

"You're in league with that group that steals and sells rare Pokemon? The one made up of ex cipher members?" asks spire

"That's right...normally, I don't go around spreading this information, but I thought you already knew. Liking your Stunfisk and shiny Teddiursa?" he asks. "That stunfisk has some rare moves bred onto it, and it's not a pokemon normally found in orre..."

"Oh...uh, yes..." blushes spire, feeling a little guilty about having used the man's service.

"Hmm..." mumbles Willow, who starts walking off towards town. "I don't have time to talk with you. There's been rare pokemon spotted back in pyrite cave, and I'm going to catch them. Or steal. Whichever."

"Wait, pyrite cave? That's where naya is..." mumbles spire to herself. "Hey, wait, come back!" She runs after him.

"Ugh..." moans the man, as he sends out the gothorita from before. Weakly holding her hands to her forehead while moaning in pain slightly, it is evident she is still weakened from the earlier battle. Reluctantly removing a hand from her head momentary, she thrusts her palm forward, creating a blue wall of light in front of her on the bridge. Reflect.

"That should hold you for a bit..." says Willow, grinning a bit as he watches spire bang on the psychic wall of energy with her fists. Returning gothorita to her poke ball, he walks off towards town.

On his way to the ONBS Building, he passes by a blue-haired girl in a light blue sweatshirt. He gives her a quick glance before returning to ignoring everyone as usual.

MegaPod, meet Clyde
Gate commands his Genesect to use Bug Buzz on a Black Mareep Exeggutor while his Porygon-Z Thunderbolts a Crobat into oblivion. His opponents then send out a Reuniclus and a Chandelure, which proceed to respectively knock out Porygon-Z with Focus Blast and Genesect with Flamethrower. Down to his last Pokémon, the hacker sends out his newly caught Excadrill while Ariel and the others are still occupied with their battles. Gate orders Excadrill to use Drill Run on Chandelure, but Reuniclus slams the mole away with Psychic, and Chandelure finishes the job with Fire Blast. "Uh oh..." Gate, out of Pokémon, sweats profusely.
"Get that boy!" snarls the manic commander. "He hacked our servers again!!!"
"Hey, I didn't do it!" whines Gate. "And when I did do it, it was his idea!" The hacker tosses Ditto-nator off of his lap and towards the BMC thugs. "Take him!"
"H-hey!" groans the Ditto splattered on the hard floor. Unconvinced, the two attacking Pokémon continue to advance on Gate...until they are KO'd from behind with a Shadow Claw and a Shadow Ball. The users are revealed to be a Dhelmise and...a skinny weird guy, namely me. The Black Mareep workers and the other trainers stop to look at me in varying degrees of bewilderment.
"Did...you just...use Shadow Ball?" Gate asks me.
"You can do that?" chimes Naya.
"Yeah, y'all looked like you could use my help!" I reply, puffing out my scrawny chest slightly.
Ditto-nator, as yet unnoticed by me, mutters "It cannot be..." from his spot on the floor.
Just then, Ariel finishes defeating their foes, and the crowd of Black Mareep goons begin to clear dejectedly. The beaten commander sneers at me. "Heh...so that's what you used it for...not that I entirely get it."
"C'mon, Commander Austen, we gotta go," groans his lackey.
"Thanks for the save," Gate finally says to me.
"No problem...hey, I know you from somewhere!"
"D-do you?"
"Yeahhh..." I remark, waggling my finger with apparent suspicion. Gate sweats, worried I know he's the hacker who troubled me before. "You were that guy I passed in the hospital gurney! I guess you didn't get completely better, huh? Dang."
"Oh, haha, yeah, long story," Gate chuckles. "I'll manage."
As the BMC group departs, I finally see him in the back of the room: Golisopod, exactly how I remember him last, Nullify Looplet and all. "G-Golisopod??" Golisopod's eyes meet mine, and we run to each other and hug. "W-where have you been?" I ask, tearing up. "Did one of these nice trainers find you for me?" I turn to Naya. "Was it you? I'm so thankful for your efforts to get us reunited! Tell me exactly how you did it!"

I awkwardly hold up my pointer finger to my mouth, unsure how to respond.

"Uh...I...." I mumble. "....Eden, explain to the man."

I worry that Mega will be angry at me if he finds out I didn't inform him that I found his lost golisopod, but on the other hand, I'm interested in seeing how this situation develops.

".....I.... don't know who you are......" Eden mumbled as sweatdrops began to drench their head, clearly confused by the situation "but I got this Golisopod from Mt. Coronet. .....Nobody informed me that it was owned by someone else, so...." The Ditto-nator can only wheeze as his eyes barely stretch up, peeking into the scene while in his crushed, liquefied state.

"Mt. Coronet? Gah! I checked there too late, I guess. You see...I had been travelling between dimensions, but Golisopod and I emerged in seperate places. I had to recapture all the Pokémon I had with me because they lost their Pokéballs." I pat my Dhelmise affectionately. "Wait...you said no one informed you?" I ask, shooting a pissed look at Naya. I exhale sharply through my nose, a few smoking embers visibly puffing out of my nostrils. "Huh."
"You met Naya there, Pod?" Golisopod says to me, imperceptible to all other humans in the room. "I swear she never said anything. But yeah, Eden here and I pretty much saved each other on that mountain, and we've been journeying together since."
"I see..." I say. Stretching out my hand to Eden, I continue. "Thanks for taking care of Golisopod for-"
"Psst... It's Clyde now," my Golisopod whispers to me.
"Wha...? Oh... Uh, thanks for taking care of Clyde here for me," I resume, offering a handshake. "I'll take him from here." Clyde glances between the two of us, fidgeting awkwardly. I don't even notice the annoyed Ditto-nator whose puddled body I have now literally stepped in.

Befuddled by not only the fact that he spewed fire from his nose but he also just briefly barked and yipped at Clyde in a voice that can only be described as a surreal cross between a wailing ghost with an Egyptian accent and a fennec fox, Eden backed off a bit, eyes wide in embarrassment and sheer confusion. "I..... uh, first..... off..... You're welcome. And second..... what the hell are you supposed to be; a Pokemon in disguise? You're just as weird as the guy you're literally standing on right now..."

"I know, you're probably freaked out," I say to Eden. "Actually, I was turned into a Pokémon a few times in the past, and I figured out a way to recall my powers from then. Wait, what did you say I was standing on?..." I look down at my feet to see that I'm stepping in a pink puddle of goo. I lift my foot as the splotch quivers, revealing an all too familiar face.
"Hello, MegaPod," drones Ditto-nator in his unmistakable Russian accent.
"YOU!" I jump back and immediately shoot a pair of Psybeams out of my eyes and at the Ditto.
"Hnnnrgh! Stop...that!!!" groans my target as he's hit with the rays.
"Hey, cut that out!" shouts Gate. "Not this again!"
"What?"
"That's my Ditto there, quit attacking him! Did you train your Golisopod to do that?"
"You don't understand!" I yell back with concern in my voice. "Ditto-nator is dangerous, you can't trust him!"
Everyone turns their gaze to Ditto-nator. The 1/10 chance of confusion from Psybeam having triggered, the discombobulated Ditto swirls around, muttering what may as well be gibberish. "That's just...lovely...can I go to the go to the go to the now??"
Gate returns Ditto-nator to his Pokéball. "Well, he seems harmless enough to me, especially since that device on his back - maybe you noticed it - was forced onto him to prevent him from attacking."
I let out a semi-relieved breath. "Well, we have to keep it that way. If we let him get back to full power, it'll be a catastrophe."
"Maybe he is a self-righteous grouch," Gate replies calmly, "but I'm not keeping him in a torture device forever. I'd hack it off of him if the Black Mareep programmers were careless enough to let me, but that stern woman from the Eterna building probably has the controls well safeguarded. I haven't dared to hack their servers since my imprisonment."
"Then why did that guy say you did?" Eden asks the hacker.
"I don't know..."
"Wait a minute..." Something suddenly clicks in my head. "You're the guy who hacked the Ranger Base I infiltrated before, weren't you?:
"Uhh, yep. But maybe we could put that behind us, ok? The codename's Gate."
"Maybe...mine's MegaPod."
"Yeah, I know. By the way," adds the hacker, "do you have any idea where the shiny Victini is now?"
I rub my head and chuckle nervously. "I sorta...traded its location to the Black Mareeps, but I fully intend to get it back."
"WHAT?!"
Ignoring Gate's outburst, I turn to Eden. "So, erm...Clyde's Pokéball, then?" I ask a bit awkwardly.
