SwSh Changes/Additions you would make in an update to SwSh

A complete overhaul of the stamp system so that you don't consistently get errors on 90% of raids you attempt to join. Is that an exaggeration? Probably, but the sad thing is it really isn't much of a one. The other thing that needs fixing is less of a reliance on daily RNG to get evolution-necessary items. Want a Chipped Pot but the guy doesn't have one? Tough luck, enjoy waiting possibly literal weeks for him to get it back. Want to evolve Micery? Here's 3 non-sweet items 2 days in a row, have fun. At least make it so you're guaranteed to get at least one sweet out of the 3 cafés each day.
 
can they please fix encounter chaining so the increased shiny odds don't apply to only 1.5% - 3% of every pokemon of the relevant species that you find? It would be nice to have a viable method of shiny hunting that isn't masuda method. Not that I have any issue with masuda method, but variety is nice.

oh and add downloadable battle rules that remove the inane 20 minute timer from 6 vs 6 link battles.

Wait, what? I thought the shiny chance increase applied to all possible encounters.

it seems to be a bug, as the official pokemon website implies it's supposed to work on all encounters

You should be allowed to block people after the Max Raid is over or report them for specific reasons (i.e., attacking other players, purposefully losing). I've had so many Max Raids where people joined and consistently used moves that don't work, Pokemon that were weak to the raid Pokemon, or used moves like Boom Burst to attack fellow players. They should get a time-limited ban for wasting other players' time and spoiling their game.

And they should give us an option to actually choose which NPC’s can help us out, that way we won’t have to worry about Martin or Alfie screwing us over.
 
Better yet, we should be able to report anyone who purposefully sabotages others' run. This is a big problem in Splatoon 2 as well, while not having a native reporting feature, you can still report people through the app on your phone. The fewer saboteurs playing the game, the better.

I'm fffffffffairly sure that you can, by pressing the + button during the rewards summary screen.

Well that would defeat the point of trying to bludgeon people into buying NSO ;)

But for what it's worth, you can soft-reset for different partners if you end up with ones you don't like.
 
Not sure if someone's already said it, but I'd really like to see full touch support. The switch is practically a tablet and most (if not all) the UI items in SwSh are big enough to easily be touched (I keep trying to hit some of the menu icons when I'm in handheld mode before realising there's no touch).

Moving stuff around in the PC would be a lot more convenient as well.
 
I would add the ability to alter weather in the Wild Area, perhaps through an NPC and/or utilizing weather and terrain moves/abilities.

I’m winding down on my Pokédex completion, and several of the Pokémon that I have left only appear in the Wild Area under a very small amount of weather conditions. I could be waiting days or even weeks just to encounter one Pokémon. I mean, I’ve only encountered Zwelious once because the proper conditions for it occurred only once.
 
I don't know why I'm spending the brainpower to plot this out so specifically but here goes my take at revising the Gyms for SwoShi sequels

Turrfield becomes a Normal-type Gym. Leader uses Wooloo, Hoothoot, and Dubwool (Dynamaxed). This fits since Turffield is the town right after Wooloo become available, and the Gym puzzle can still revolve around them somehow. Type-wise, none of the Starters have an overt advantage here, much like in B2W2.

Hulbury becomes a Bug-type Gym. My thinking is that this still suits the town's identity as a fishery, except that Bug-type Pokémon are used to produce strong nets for the fishermen. Hulbury comes right after a route featuring Dewpider and Dottler, so I'll say the Leader should use Joltik, Dewpider, Dottler, and Butterfree (Dynamaxed). Grookey might have a rough time here, but Scorbunny should have an edge, while Sobble will do okay (just need to watch out for the Joltik).

Motostoke becomes version-exclusive, but features the same Gym Leader in both games - it's just their specialty that changes depending on the game you're playing. In Sword 2, I'd give them Electric, while in Shield 2, I'd give them Poison. Gigantamax Toxtricity is their ace, and the Gym is revamped to look like a big rock 'n' roll stadium. So, the Starter balance works out differently depending on the game you have - Scorbunny is pretty neutral, but Grookey resists the specialty in Sword while being weak a second time in Shield. Sobble is weak in Sword, but won't have too much of a problem with anything other than Toxtricity in Shield. As for the Leader's team, I'd say (and I should mention that I'm not factoring in the possibility of an expanded Dex, though I'd hope there would be one) in Sword to give them Electrike, Chinchou, Boltund, and Toxtricity, while in Shield they would have Croagunk, Stunky, Galarian Weezing, and Toxtricity.

Stow-on-Side is now home to a Ground-type Gym, which I feel is appropriate for the dusty, dry feel of the location - it even has a big Dugtrio monument and lamps stylized like Claydol. The last couple of Gyms have been a little rough for Grookey and Sobble, but here, they both gain an advantage while Scorbunny might encounter some trouble. Their team is Baltoy, Dugtrio, Whiscash, and Gigantamax Sandaconda.

In Ballonlea, an older Bede is still the Gym Leader, so it's still a Fairy-type Gym. There would be a new puzzle, but he uses largely the same team as always, with Gigantamax Hatterene still as his team's centerpiece.

In Circhester, the Gym is now either Flying- or Psychic-type depending on the version. Much like how the Rock- and Ice-type puzzles in Sword and Shield are essentially the same, you could do that kind of thing here as well, but with flight as the gimmick in Sword and levitation as the gimmick in Shield. The Gym Leader is also different depending on the game, just like Gordie and Melony. The Leader's team in Sword is Swoobat, Drifblim, Hawlucha, and Gigantamax Corviknight. The other Leader's team in Shield is Xatu, Bronzong, Malamar, and Gigantamax Orbeetle.

In Spikemuth, Marnie retains her Dark-type Gym Leader position. In the time since the previous games, the town has become lively again, and Marnie has built a dedicated Gym with a proper puzzle. For some reason (I can't decide if I want to link it to Eternatus's awakening in the previous games or just a general breakthrough in Dynamax research now making it possible to synthesize Galar particles), Dynamax can now occur in Spikemuth, and Marnie of course uses much the same team as before, including Gigantamax Grimmsnarl.

Lastly, there's Hammerlocke - and Raihan is still the Leader, and still specializes in Double Battles. However, his team now consists of Duraludon, Copperajah, Tyranitar, and Dracozolt. In keeping with his general "not quite what it says on the tin" persona and his more strategy-based approach, he leads with Duraludon and Copperajah, and Gigantamaxes the latter right away instead of at the end of the battle, and uses it to set steelspikes while hitting your leads with Duraludon's Breaking Swipe. If you can overcome those two, then he switches to the more familiar Sandstorm tactics from the first games, combining Tyranitar's Sand Stream with Dracozolt's Sand Rush (its Hidden Ability, again emphasizing that he's a more competitive-minded battler). My thinking here is that he is the games' de facto Steel-type "specialist" - filling in the last of SwoShi's missing Minor League types - due to the focus on Copperajah's G-Max Move, but in a way that doesn't betray his identity from before as a Dragon-type specialist. He still gets to keep Duraludon on his team. Tyranitar is not an actual dragon, but is still rather dinosaur-like, and takes up his Gigalith's role from before. Furthermore, having only two dragons on his team was enough to qualify him as a Dragon-type specialist in the original SwoShi even though he also used two Ground types, so I think he can get away with being called the Steel-type specialist here even though he only uses two and has an equal number of Dragon types. The important thing is that he finds synergy between all three points - the Steel type, the Dragon type, and Sandstorm benefits.
 
Bring back the usage of the B button in the menu.

The amount of times I mashed B to refuse learning a move only to realize it doesn't work that way.

I don't think that they would replace all the original Gym Leaders except for Raihan.

I don’t seem to have this problem?

It’s true that I can’t B out of learning a new move upon level-up (and moreso specifically on this screen), but the B button seems to work as usual when I’m in the menus.

I don't think that they would replace all the original Gym Leaders except for Raihan.

That list is wish fulfillment, not predictions
