The fortress stood on a hill. A deep, wide ravine encircled the outer walls, and the soft crash of waves could be heard from within its depths. A charred mess was the only sign that there had ever been a bridge across the chasm. The building itself was imposing, hewn from black stone. A flag flew from one of the ramparts, but beyond that there was no sign of life within.

In contrast to the sinister exterior, inside was a far more comfortable affair. Soft, plush carpets lined the hallways between the dining room, kitchen, ballroom and seventeen bedrooms. Within each bedroom was a guest. Some were wandering about, some were demanding release, some were chuckling quietly to themselves and planning, but most were reading the notes left on the beds.

There are killers among you. You may not leave until they are dead.

It is now day one. This phase will last 48 hours.
