Review Characters You Think Never At Any Point Received An Objectively Good English Portrayal in Pokémon, Who Deserved Better?

Marlon was a really distasteful choice in my opinion. Brawly's voice somehow fit, but Marlon's was just.....strange.
I agree, I don't know what Ted Lewis was doing as Marlon, but it didn't seem to fit: Jason Griffith's Brawly at least, despite the obvious surfer dude intonations, matched the character overall.

Let me add Sawyer here, just dreadful, in Kalos: he sounds even older than Cameron, and I thought they both sounded too old for their ages and like grown men.

It would've been a smarter choice to cast women or people with naturally higher pitched voices, but they did not. They really did sound like grown men

I kind of like his voice, but now I’m picturing him being voiced by a female voice actor lol (Ikue Ohtani voices him in the JP version, wonder what would happen if she voiced him in the dub)
Lillie's English voice hurt my ears so bad I had to give up on Sun and Moon
Thankfully, they fixed this in Pokémon Evolutions (yay Amalee who I’ve known about since 2017)
