Re: CoroCoro Discussion Thread (Current Issue: July 2010)

Mexico City is the biggest city in the world.

Anyway it looks too much like NYC to just dismiss it and using an arguement like they distorted the shape of a Japan region and it came out looking like Manhattan is just grasping at straws.

The day they use Mexico City (or the Anahuac Valley, the region the city is located in) as a basis or inspiration for a Pokémon location, I'm gonna have the biggest orgasm in my life.

Nightmare fuel aside, I do think Muunna will turn out to be a baby Drowsee, regardless of its color; after all, it is the Dream Eater Pokémon, and as far as I remember, the move Dream Eater was Drowsee's signature move back in Gen I. What makes me doubt, however, is the fact that CoroCoro says nothing about that, unlike Munchlax which, if my memory doesn't betray me, was stated to be Snorlax's evolution ever since the first time it was revealed, wasn't it?

Hideruma evolving into Eduardo is plain hilarious.

So I hope whoever does the designs for the Pokemon put more thought into the other 150....

Well that's just a stock pose, the designs themselves have nothing to do with each other apart from the fact that both are birds.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to draw birds in various poses?

It's like a Starly in Honchkrows pose...that's not being creative in my opinion.

For a professional artist hired by a multi-million dollar company I would seriously hope not.

It's just artwork, the sprite won't be that way.

I'm totally in love with the mouse thing. It's tail is beyond adorable. I already want one badly.

I like the Pigeon too. Very Urban.

Mamepato hardly looks like Starly, and just because it emulates Honchkrow's official art pose (which can vary if a third version or additional stock illustrations are released) doesn't mean its overall design is uncreative or less original.

Well in my opinion, it is. And it does look like Starly in a lot of ways, but that could be, I guess, because many birds look alike. Still generic-bird...not much creativity is used for the first stage anyways.

They're all facing left with their wings folded... Oh my god, they're exactly the same Pokémon.

Clearly we have a conspiracy on our hands. Seriously, when was the last time you saw any of these in the same room Route as each other? All those Starly must just be Pidgey with way too much makeup and hair gel.

Their designs are nothing alike except the similar poses.
