I'm wondering if it'll be like Final Fantasy?

Physical attacks do more damage when you're in front, yet you take less damage from them when you're in the back. So you wanna keep weak, Special Sweepers in the back while you put the strong Physical Hitters in front.

Re: CoroCoro Discussion Thread (Current Issue: August 2010)

So they didn't say much, except that unlike double battles, placement matters which is actually a big thing. So now you think its DB+1 as compared to when we only knew there were 3 Pokemon on each side and you thought it wasn't.

Not following your logic because they didn't say anything that made it seem more like DB+1, whereas they gave us information that differentiated it.

Here's what you think they said:

Here's what they actually said:

Quite different from what you said isn't it? Position didn't matter in DB.

Cool, cool, and here's what I'm saying now: I'm keeping my trap shut about Triple Battles until they decide to give us more information on it.

For the airplane pic that was posted a couple pages back, if it was a plane anyways...

It obviously was.

I'm willing to bet that you'll be able to fly on it, to whichever place it's supposed to go.

No shit?

I have to agree with NeoKING here. We can't be exactly sure how that's how they're going to work out, Outrage.

It's shaped like a crystal. Wider than we were presented. I don't think it's the route map, though. It has eight points on it. They gyms? And the branch is the league?

there's more than eight points.

There's also four more points in the lower part of the region in the other picture. I think it should put an end to this whole "lack of towns/cities/gyms" nonsense.

Well, this is the Pokemon fandom. Munna's evolution has already been revealed, and people still think it has some relationship with Drowzee.

Hey, I only say that because if you recolored Mushana to Drowzee's colors, it'd look like a Drowzee in the fetal position with a cloudy thing coming out of its head. That's the only connection the two have though.

Oh, I see. That's odd. Why would one map show 9 points and the other show a different four points? Could the map be layered?

They're from the same map...

Well, there has been mention of version-specific locations....

Oh, I'm stupid. The second map is lower than the other. So a line of towns/cities leading into a giant crystal shaped loop that has a branch on the top. 14 total locations if I count the points right. (there is a road leading to Huin city from the four dots on the right)

EDIT: I also see a bunch of conspicuous small green dots spotted around the place that I assume are other places of interest.

Just a query, has Coro-coro released another Water type pokemon after Mijumaru? I have been counting the released new pokemon and as of my count, NO NEW water pokemon has been released to us as of present! :O

It's about time. Hopefully this generation will be more water-ridden.

And it's most likely not complete as there are locations that aren't marked.

So GF was saying the truth when they said "we are going to change the pokemon gmaes".
I have the weird idea that Black White, cheren and Belle are goign to be chilhood friends, but if you chose Black, is th ompetitive rival and Bele the friendly rival, but when you play as White, Ceren is frindly and Belle is going o challenge you

No shit?

Hey... that sarcasm wasn't necessary, especially since my post wasn't intended to harm anybody. And for godsakes, what's wrong with me not being too sure about it being an airplane? If you haven't looked, the pic isn't really that clear in the first place.

On a side-note, where's the in-game Isshu map that people keep talking about on here?

Go to Pokebeach or Pokejungle (since Serebii (which I refuse to boycott) is still slow right now), and look for the Corocoro scans, since they're not big news right now.

I have to agree with NeoKING here. We can't be exactly sure how that's how they're going to work out, Outrage.

How what's going to work out? That placement matters in this style unlike Double Battles (or if it's DB+1)? Because that's exactly what they said.

How much it matters is a different thing all together.
Cool, cool, and here's what I'm saying now: I'm keeping my trap shut about Triple Battles until they decide to give us more information on it.

Can you be a little more condescending considering that you're the one contradicting yourself and now are covering up with what you should have done in the first place?
