Best thing I can do at 7 in the morn, but if you take the map we have, and do a dirty quick drawn map yourself, you can damn well see that its new york. Albeit one that combines queens and the bronx.

Eh... sounds pretty logical. But I ain't buying it for now. Could also be an elaborate troll...

I think all the other regions have been pretty disproportional and distorted. I really could see this being NYC the more I look at the pic of the region

Oh yes I know, but obviously I never noticed too much because I never lived in any of those areas. So yeah living in NYC I see the similarities and differences pop out to me very easily.

Oh forgot brooklyn as well, the little bit at its end where the sole 2 buildings are match it to the dot as well.

Re: CoroCoro Discussion Thread (Current Issue: July 2010)

Black and white, good versus evil, and yin and yang are going to play a major part in the plot. However, unlike previous Pokemon games, the decisions and choices you make will "influence" the plot of the game. If you make "good" choices, you might get certain help or items, whereas "bad" choices could have negative effects. The point is that the plot will not be as cut-and-dry as previous games, changing depending on the player's actions.

That sounds WAY too good to be true.

...But then again if a few years before you would have told me that the next region could be possibly based on New York City, I would have laughed at you. I really do not know what to expect with these games, a feeling I've never had with Pokemon as it has been pretty predictable... So I'm really excited for these games I have to say (especially after not buying Diamond and Pearl).

Huh Pokemon goes down the morals path. Good for me. I still don't see how the legends could tie in with it. Also does this mean that there could be 2 teams, but one is ultimately good?

Here's a map of NYC's boroughs:
nyc-boroughs-map.jpg

Compared to the mock-up Mitchman posted, I could see it. They just made the land a little more even.

Hong Kong was another fan suggestion, Hong Kong, for comparison:

I'm not liking the sound of that field switch thing. I guess I could make a better judgement if I saw it in action, but part of me is discrediting it just because it's so much of a change....

And I'm loving the 157 Pokemon and influenceable story. I wouldn't mind either of those at all.

So... maybe we'll get random weather now? Huh? Anyone with me?

I really doubt they would use part of the USA as a region. It could be like Hoenn, a rotated part of Japan. And there is a promising spot just below Hokkaido (Sinnoh) if you rotate 180 degrees.

It's a big map, btw

hells yea. That would be awesome. And I would say its due time for changing weather. Hopefully not too random though, but I think GF is smarter than that

Tohoku doesn't look like three peninsulas, though.

@seeker of nine: Look right below Hokkaido. See the three peninsulas? It's at the northern tip of Honshu.
