Re: Official CoroCoro Discussion Thread

Edit: It appears that Chespin is in all three regional dexes, but this contradictions with the number seen in each one.

What makes you think Chespin is associated with all 3 areas of Kalos? Sure it lists all 3 areas, but I'm sure that doesn't mean he's associated with all 3. Perhaps because he's a starter he's not actually associated with any of them. I'm not sure, but I doubt he's associated with all 3 areas.
I mean he has all three colours filled in; which implies that he's a part of all three.

This should be the case. Also, any one noticed that the three Pokédex Zone colors, when out together, they form the flag of France?

I mean he has all three colours filled in; which implies that he's a part of all three.

However, another pic shows the entry count for each 'dex and one is stil at 0. If Chespin were in the three dexes, then none of them should have a zero, don't you think?

Gogoat-Riding-Pokemon-X-and-Y.jpg
Looking at the Gogoat images we have so far as well as the pose the player character takes on when riding Gogoat some have been saying that Gogoat may be the only Pokemon that we will be able to ride on, and only in Lumiouse City. The player character specifically holds on to Gogoat's horns when riding it. Unless this is just a specific pose for riding Gogoat and every other Pokemon will use harnesses or something. Riding Gogoat may actually be some sort of taxi service or other public transportation for Lumiose City judging by the sign on the leftmost side of the image.

Also Marill may be in this region. Or it looks like its on vacation considering its trainer looks like a total tourist.

Re: Official CoroCoro Discussion Thread

Speaking of which, Pancham's French name [Pandespiègle] breaks the character limit for the roman alphabet games (10), just like Parabolic Charge broke the Japanese character limit for moves. So, maybe we'll get Feraligator and Victreebell finally. :0

"Parabolic Charge" does weigh in at a whopping 16 characters. So yes, it does appear they've upped the character limit (and why not, if we're talking null-terminated string names then it only increases space in proportion to the names that actually need the extra length). And totally yes, the missing letters in "Feraligatr" always bugged me.

I don't like the English font. I wish you could change the font of all in-game text.

Remember Amity Square and what came next? I think it's possible that the Gogoat-riding is just the beginning. Maybe they'll incorporate more with following games. Imagine riding a Rapidash or a Zebstrika.

What day does the magazine release? When do full scans typically start coming in?

CoroCoro is released on the 15th every month and it usually leaks around the 11th~13th.

Which means we'll have to wait about 4 more weeks before June's issue leaks.

Sounds good. Maybe they'll finally reveal the types of Xerneas and Yvetal

So has this month's issue been fully scanned and picked apart? I didn't see any more stuff after the initial day of leaks.

Yeah, that was all the XY news that came in this issue. There's still the Pokemon Smash XY Special this Saturday, though. It'll probably deal with what was in Corocoro.

Plus Masuda's appearance, which is supposed to bring big news, so we'll probably know finally Sylveon's type.

Re: Official CoroCoro Discussion Thread

I hope CoroCoro finally puts us out of our misery and reveals Sylveon, Xerneas and Yveltal's types this month.

I don't care about any new pokemon for the moment - just finish telling us about the ones we've already got, for the love of Arceus. The madness has gone on long enough.

Re: Official CoroCoro Discussion Thread

OH YAAAAAAAAAYYYYY!!! I was looking for something new to discuss..... CoroCoro only leaks in... about NINE days! (Okay, that's not that little....)

I hope CoroCoro finally puts us out of our misery and reveals Sylveon, Xerneas and Yveltal's types this month.

I don't care about any new pokemon for the moment - just finish telling us about the ones we've already got, for the love of Arceus. The madness has gone on long enough.

I have a sad feeling they won't give us the types for any of those......

But I do think they will give us at least four new Pokemon. I realized that for Smash to be having an X and Y segment every episode, then there is one month between June 15 and July 15 (four weeks, the time between official CoroCoro reveals) which means we'd be getting the new Pokes either in CoroCoro, E3, or (most likely) both. And then Smash would have trailers for these Pokes until the next month...

And I think that's basically how it will be until August or September.....maybe they'll give us the types of said Pokemon before that time... but I've realized that the best way to not be disappointed when what you want to be revealed is not revealed is to lower expectations....by a lot.....

Re: Official CoroCoro Discussion Thread

Well I think this month will be the big month - in one way or another. Or at least I hope it is. With five months since Xerneas and Yveltal's reveals and four months since Sylveon's reveal (how time flies!), let's have it over and done with already; the secrecy and witholding has gone on long enough, even they must realise that. It's the last Corocoro before the movie, so hopefully we at least get Sylveon's type, unless they plan on dragging this out further for no good reason.

OH YEAH!!! Completely forgot about that, this just boosted the chance of us getting it's type this month to 80% (Yeah, still remaining a bit pessimistic..)

....But...what if they decide to not give us Sylveon's type....not even in the movie??! (Is that possible?)

Re: Official CoroCoro Discussion Thread

I'm gonna go ahead and say that this will be the month we finally get confirmation of Sylveon's Type. It just wouldn't make any sense to reveal Sylveon's Type in July since CoroCoro comes out on the 15th and the movie airs July 13th two days before CoroCoro (even though the info might be leaked by then), people will already know the info in CoroCoro beforehand since they would have already watched the film along with the short.

The same for Xerneas and Yveltal, I'm gonna bet we'll get there Types too. Remember guys we got Reshiram's and Zekrom's Type in June as well.

Finally there is this tweet that Yamamoto one of the announcers from Pokémon Smash tweeted to Junichi Masuda on May 10th (Note the episodes are filmed a month in advance so this episode is scheduled to air this month possibly on June 16th): "Good job yesterday! Masuda info does not disappoint!! I am still worked up!! making noise about Pokémon X and Y, seems things are gonna change!! everyone, if you miss Pokémon Smash, it would suck."

Yeah, I think that we're going to get the typings of Sylveon and the legendaries this month as well.

He'll probably just be reiterating what was in the Nintendo Direct/E3 Conference/CoroCoro.
