Speculation Could there be a Pikachu with Ash's M20 hat in the future?

So it's been confirmed that Ash-hat Pikachu can be placed in Pokemon Bank.

Now the question is, since these guys will be in future games, do you guys think they'll expand on these forms in later games by adding in Pikachu with Ash's hat from the 20th movie and possibly later series?

I can definitely see this being a regular update. It would be cool if Pikachu can also have other characters' hats. It wouldn't make sense since it being Ash's Pikachu, but it would be cool to see.

Or alternatively, why not something like Torchic with May's bandana, Piplup with Dawn's hat, etc.?

I do question how or when would they distribute the potential Pikachu with future hats, such as the M20 one. Perhaps it could be included as an extra gift in a demo for whatever the next game is?

They wouldn't be able to tie it towards the movie unless said game releases this year (which is a topic for another thread).

The next game release is likely to happen this year, but well after the movie distributions end in Japan. As such, I don't see the point of adding another hat.

i try not to say anything about the anime these days but i agree since i don't like how they're possibly retconning misty and brock out of the anime timeline

It's just an anniversary gimmick. It'll be forgotten come next generation. The Ash Pikachu variants will still exist in future games, but like Ash-Greninja, that's because they're tied to actual mechanics (Battle Bond for Greninja; 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt and the Pikashunium Z for Pikachu). If they were to remove them, then they'd have to remove those moves, items, and abilities as well.
