Create a New Ability

Soporific: contact with the user has 30% chance of causing sleep (like Static or Flame Body)
 
Electrify: Auto-Electric Terrain
Fertile Soil: Auto-Grassy Terrain
Mysterious Winds: Auto-Misty Terrain

Terrain abilities in the same vein as the weather ones and can be used with the Weather abilities as well)
 
Lariat: Increases the end of turn damage of partially trapping moves by 30%. Stackable with Binding Band.
 
Eggcelent or Sunny Side Up: An Ability that only unhatched eggs have. It's like Pickup but it makes eggs useful instead of taking up a space. As the egg gets closer to hatching the chances of finding rare hold items or master balls increase.

Archeology: In battle Archeology boots the haver's weakest stats if the pokemon is either rock or ground type. Outside of battle if a pokemon with Archeology is leading the team there's a chance of finding fossils and even a slimmer chance of finding live wild fossil pokemon.

Below Zero: Automatically freezes water types and Hail does more damage to frozen Pokemon.

Dragon Slayer: If a Fairy move K.O.s a dragon type pokemon, the PP of that move will be restored at the end of battle.

Shock Absorber- Ground-type moves have no effect and will heal one quarter of its max HP.
Fire Stack- All Fire-type moves are drawn to the user, raises the Pokemon with this ability's Special Defense by one.
 
-Damage Category Immunity Abilities (Move Immunity Abilities)

For those who wan't something new and more interesting then Levitate and only type based ability immunities.

1. "Necromancy" (or other better suited name):
Gives immunity to all Special based moves and a 2x weakness to physical ones.

- all that that thats physicall conected with the world. (not only for ghosts)
-to destroy the oryginal golem of mythology, you needed to know his name and take the scrol with it out of his mouth, thats why only physical attacks work.
Dragon/ghost the Skeleton pokemon (a winged one),
ground/flying sand creature(monster, moving sand)
dark/psychic could be a phantom in shape of a Kite.

hp xxx/attack xxx / sp.attack xxx/def. xxx/ sp.def 1 / speed xxx

2. "Ectoplasma" or "Hollow" (or other better suited name):

Immunity to all Physical based moves and a 2x weakness to special ones.

-spiritual energy and a transparent form (not only for pure ghosts)

ghost/fairy the headless Centaur pokemon
a poison/electric gas monster.
a water/grass seaweed monster something in the form of a aligator,

hp xxx /attack xxx / sp.attack xxx/def. 1/ sp.def xxx / speed/xxx

- all this pokes with this abilities would need high hp and high status thats not immune to damage, the status that would be immune has only one point (for moldbreakers, it's to make it not too powerfull, bacuse it'a whole category and not only type)

-maybe some legends with these but not sure if it would be good( dark/ghost ; poison/steel )

4. Miracle Guard ability, that works like an oposite of Wonder Guard.
It gives the pokemon immunity to all super effective hits.
I imagine a dark gargoyle with wings, ghost/rock pokemon.

5. Conductor- immune to fighting type moves and rises speed, for a steel type.

6. An ability that would make that the oponent's pokemon could not use moves of it's own type(a fire/fighting would not be able to use fire and fighting moves).
(something for legendaries, electric/psychic?)

7. Pokemon with ability based on possession, that when the pokemon with this ability faints it causes that you gain control over the oponents pokemon that is on the battle field till it faints.(bug/psychic; ghost; fairy)

8. Resistance- the pokemon is immune to the type the first move it was hit in battle.

9. Rapid resistance- the pokemon is immune to the type that the last move was that hit it.

(proper for ghost and scarecrows)
10. based on flinching:
-Fear eater- when the oponents pokemon is under flinching status, this pokemon gains 1/4 hp.
-Fear power- when your oponents pokemon flinches , this pokemon gains attack and speed boost one stage.
-First Fear - when this pokemon is send out it cause the oponents pokemon to flinch the first turn.

11. based on switching(for a scarecrow):
-Fear chase- when this pokemon is send out on the field it causes the oponet to switch pokemon randomly.

Pokemon Ability Ideas

Stabilize - An ability specific to Steel type Pokemon. It makes them immune to Ground type attacks such as Dig or the devastating Earthquake. In Double and Triple Battles, it also benefits its allies by reducing their damage to these attacks by half.

Icy Surge & Frozen Flame - Abilities for Black & White Kyurem, respectively; it allows it to get a STAB from Electric or Fire type moves (an idea I thought of since Kyurem's fusion forms retain its Dragon/Ice type combo).

Cold Hearted - Ice type moves become 25% more likely to freeze the opponent.

Well, I've only thought of three, but this was a rather spontaneous thread...

I can't think of a name so I'm leaving that to somebody else, but the ability would work like static only it would freeze the opponent, and it'd be exclusive to ice types
 
-Heal Drain- the pokemon drains 1/8 hp by every physical contact. (for steel/fairy, bug/dark , psychic/bug, ghost)

- Bugeater- user is immune to bug type moves , attack rises if hit by one.

-question what effect and name is better suited for this one?
Ability("Soul Armor" or "Shadow Cloak"):
a) that gives user immunity to pshychic and fairy moves.
b)that gives user resistance to pshychic and fairy moves.
C) that gives user resistance to all paranormal types : dark, ghost, fairy ,psychic, dragons.

(If Venusaur would get a second mega form I would love grass/ghost with something like this more then grass/dark, the same goes for a second mega blaziken(fire/ghost), this would allow them to be more ninja themed)

Sharpshooter - Raises accuracy by one level if the Pokemon's move misses.

Onslaught - Super-effective moves deal 2.5x damage.

Healer (how it should be) - The user has a 75% chance to cure itself and allies of any status ailments at the end of each turn.

Absolute Zero or Frostbite - 30% chance of freezing the opponent if they make physical contact.

Nimble - The Pokemon trades power to focus on evasion (Similar to Hustle, but the power of moves is reduced to boost the Pokemon's evasion rate).

Frustration - The Pokemon's attack raises a stage each time it misses with its move.

Preemptive - The Pokemon may occasionally move first (50% chance to move before the opponent).

Paling - Using psychic power, the Pokemon creates a barrier to reduce damage (reduces physical and special damage by 25%).

Invigorate - The Pokemon releases special pheromones that increase the strength of Grass and Bug allies (boosts the damage done by Grass and Bug type allies by 50%).

Sub-zero: Auto-Arctic Terrain (ice type)
-ice and pokemon with ice based abilities gain 1/10 hp every turn
-all non-ice and non-water land based pokemon lose Accuracy and speed 25%)
-(hail could give 1,5 sp. def)
- Dig and other ground type land moves causes recoil damage equal to ⅓ of the damage done to the target(ice types dont take recoil damage).
-poison and burn status needs longer to take down a pokemon(reduced damage through cold).
-when this terrain is activated: Toxic spikes won't work and will stop working if they were on the field.

Desert Sand: Auto-Desert Terrain (sand field- for ground)
-only ground and pokemon with sand based abilities gain 1/10 hp every turn,
- flying moves power is reuced by half(orange league),
-all grass type moves would be reduced by half;
-all moves with sand in its name are 1,5x stronger;
-Fissure doesnt work due to cushioning effect;(eartquake and other physical land moving moves should also not work)
(-priority attacking moves dont work on ground types)
-all non ground,rock, sand ability users lose accuracy and speed by 25%.
-rock has already a weather condition called sandstorm


Forested Wetland: Auto-Swamp Terrain (bug)
-bug, dark and poison gain 1/16 hp every turn (dual types of them gain 1/10);
-bugs gain evasion and x1,5 by attaking ;
-electric moves are reduced by half, -fire type moves are reduced by 1,5,
(the Swamp is Mud Sport and Water Sport at the same time.)
-steel has speed cut in half;
-some abilities like Shed skin work automatically.
-poison and burn status needs longer to take down a pokemon(reduced damage through mud that can heal).
-Stealth Rock, Toxic Spikes and Spikes will be neutralized and sucked in the swamp or stop working if already on the field when the terrain starts working.

Time Jump which makes it avoid attacks every second turn. (Dialga)

Spacial Shield which protects it from attacks every second turn. (Palkia)

Dark Shadow which causes super effective hits to miss. (Giratina)

Mighty Power which makes all of it's attacks super effective against any type regardless of resistance or immunity. (Arceus)
 
(a giant toad line electric/dragon) with this for electric pokemon Ability:
High Voltage (by physical contact - when it is beiing attacked can cause the oponent to be KO, faint, only when its attacked by the target. Or give it a 10% chance of KO by every physical contact with the target .)

Liquid Steel: makes fire type moves not very effective against Steel Pokemon.

Invisible: a Ghost Ability that makes opponent moves 30% less accurate.
 
Chain Build: Multiple hit moves become stronger with each consecutive hit. I think that's still available.
 
Provocative: enrages the opponent Pokemon, allowing it to use only damaging moves. Perfect for switch ins.

Dragon Skin: lowers the opponent's attack by one stage upon contact.
 
Spirit's Call:
Cancel's the negative effect of a Ghost-type's Curse. In other words, you don't lose HP from getting Cursed.
maybe call it Exorcist and make a pokemon immune to effect of Curse and give advantages over ghosts and even maybe fairies?(make it more usefull in diffrent situations)

- New idea: Assimilation - the pokemon is at start a normal type, during battle becomes dualtype, its first type changes with the last move used by it and its secondary type changes with the type of move that was used by its oponent last. (for a Hunter/Ultimate Predator based pokemon)

Gladiate: Fighting type -ate. I feel that Mega Gallade would have liked this.
