Basically, like the hold item thread, post here some of your own made up abilities that could make the metagame more interesting. You could even pair them up with certian pokemon if you wish... But don't go too ridiculusly overpowered!

Here are some that I made up that could really make the meta game fun:

Windkeeper: The Pokemon blows away entry hazards upon entering battle.

Confidence Boost: Raises the power of its never-missing moves by 50%.

Freedom Fighter: All move limiting items (Choice Band, Assult Vest, etc.) stop working. Announced in battle.

Gem Eater: The Pokemon draws in Rock-type moves to raise its defense. (1 stage)

Brick Wall: Contact with this pokemon doubles the recoil damage of the foe's moves.

Heat Seeker: The Pokemon's attacks cannot be redirected to another target.

Impurify: Make's the opponent's stat changes become the opposite. (Contrary, but for opponents.)

I have many other made up abilities like this too that I may post, and hopefully none here are too horrific.

Seems like Gem Eater could be a hidden ability of Carbink and Diancie. Cool.
I think Snow Warning should give us actual Snow, and something like Hail Warning or Hailstorm would be Hail. The Snow weather functions like Rain, only boosting Ice by 50% and decreasing Fire. Blizzard, like in Hail, gets perfect accuracy, and those Kyurem signature moves no longer get a charge turn.
Prioritize: If a moveslot is blank, the Pokemon will copy a Priority move of the foe for the remainder of the battle. The one with the priority move does not have to be in play for this to work. It is random, and includes things like Protect.
Fire Absorb: Same as Water Absorb and Volt Absorb, but obviously for Fire.
Switch Skin: If contact is made with this Pokemon, held items will be switched, like with the move Trick.
Loud Mouth: New Hidden Ability of Whismur's evolutions. Raises the power of sound-based moves by 30% percent.
Nerve Wrecker: If this Pokemon moves last, the foe has a 30% chance of switching out in the same manner as Roar. This ability will be announced when the Pokemon enters the battle.
Free Thinker: Doubles the base power of all moves at the cost of the Pokemon's move choice being its own. If you get lucky, you just might sweep without any boosts.
Unmask: The foe(s) is/are no longer immune to any Type until the Unmask Pokemon switches out or is defeated.

Scrappy is what makes exploud so good. Having loud mouth on it would just be bad.
Anyway my ideas for abilities are Dragon Heart which would allow certain pokemon like Mega Hydreigon to be immune to fairy moves. Then we would have Dragon's Wrath which would boost all attacking moves power by 40%, but would cause 10% recoil.

Stubborn: Missing a move against the opponent will raise the user's Attack or Sp.Atk one stage (which stat is chosen would depend on its stats - like Download).
Corrosive: Wielder's Poison-type moves will hit Steel-types super effectively.
Mystical Mist: the name is as bad as Sap Sipper Summons Misty Terrain for five turns when the Pokemon enters battle.
Insectivore: Draws in all Bug-type moves and increases Attack. (Bug version similar to Storm Drain and Lightning Rod)
Fluster: A Sp.Atk version of Intimidate.

Sticky Mud: Mud based moves (Mud Slap, Mud Shot, Mud Bomb) can hit Flying types.

Deadly Venom (Seviper signature move to parallel Toxic Boost): Pokemon that would normally be Poisoned by this Pokemon become badly Poisoned.

Oh yeah, and I second that we need Corrosive, that would be very useful.

EDIT:

Intangible: Increased evasion against physical moves. (realistically it should be complete immunity to physical moves, but that would be way OP so I'm going with increased evasion).

Conductor: Causes the user to pass fire and electric attacks to opponents.
Frostbite: Contact with the user may cause freezing. (Technically Conquest invented it, but it should be carried over to the main series)
Pollution: Poisons water and ground types when they enter battle.

Pass Fire and Electric attack to opponents? How does that work?

Pollution: Poisons water and ground types when they enter battle.

Don't you think that's a bit OP?

1. Probably like a pass scarf (or counter in singles) does in PMD. In single battles, has a chance of activating, in doubles, triples, and rotations, will activate 100%.
2. The two types could use a nerf anyway.

Fast Charge: Moves that require a charge skip the charge stage (Moves like Razor Wind and Solarbeam, maybe Focus Punch)

Specialist: Moves with 40 or less basepower do double the damage

Foliate: Normal-Type Moves become Grass-Type moves and do 30% more damage

Counterage: Increases attack and defensive powers when fighting Mega-Evolved or Legendary Pokemon

Toxic Shock: Contact moves have a 20% chance to badly poison the attacker

Dynamo: Summons a permanent electric terrain when switching in

Undergrowth: Summons a permanent grassy terrain when switching in

I can't think of a name for an ability that would summon a permanent misty terrain when switching in.

Sleep heal: Heals 1/16 of health when sleeping, and increases chances for attack moves in sleep talk.
Honesty: When all four moves are used in a battle, the moves deal 2x damage.
Polteryse: Makes all normal moves into ghost type. Cause Ghostalate is a terrible name.
Sleepy: Alternate for Slaking. Pokemon goes to sleep is a move over 80 bp is used.
Resting giant: Hidden ability for Slaking. Pokemon can only use one attacking move every two turns.
Bravado: SP attack version of Moxie

Burniate: Normal-type moves become Fire-type
Iron Will: Prevents being blown away from Roar and Whirlwind
Twilight Blessing: Moonlight and Morning Sun are maxed, and give a SpD and Def boost
Distract: Decreases SpA of all enemy pokemon
Electrate: Normal-type moves become Electric-type

I can't think of a name for an ability that would summon a permanent misty terrain when switching in.

I created one a few posts up and called it Mystical Mist. Not the greatest name, but it's a bit cheesy similar to Sap Sipper, so I don't think it's terrible either.

Twilight Blessing: Moonlight and Morning Sun are maxed, and give a SpD and Def boost

So it makes those moves restore 100% HP and gives +1 boost to Def and Sp.Def. Sounds overpowered.

Shadow Jumper - Hidden Ability for the Gengar family. All moves with "Shadow" in their name, such as Shadow Ball and Shadow Sneak, have priority and do 35% more damage.

Inverse Power
Flavor Text: Damage dealt to or by the user will have the type-chart inverted.
Effect: Moves that are used by the user and moves used against the user will be effected by the Inverse Battle type-chart instead of the normal one. It's also rendered useless in Inverse Battles since all Pokémon use the Inverse type-chart there.

Distortion
Flavor Text: The stats of the user and allies are raised, while the stats of foes fall.
Effect: Distortion is basically a modified Contrary that ensure that the user and their allies always get their stats boosted, while the opponents always get their stats decreased. This seems very overpowered on the surface, but upon switching out, this ability will no longer work when the Pokémon with this ability returns to battle. Additionally, when two Pokémon with this ability are on opposing sides, moves from either side that would normally cause stat modifications will instead cause the user of said move to lose 1/8th of their HP.

Guardian's Defenses
Any Super-Effective attacks heal the amount of damage they would've done instead of damaging you. This would be a good Ability if Mew or Arceus ever got a transformation of some sort.

example - Gengar used Night Slash on Mew (ability activates)

Prioritize
Any move that the user has with + priority gets the highest level of priority automatically. Useful for speedy competitive players and Quick Attackers.

example - Pikachu's Quick Attack gets maximum priority

Power Generation If there are other Pokemon in your party with one of the same typed attacks as the user, using the attack will do the damage times how many Pokemon there are with that type attack. Then, all of the helpers (including the user) recieve 1/8 recoil.

example - Meowth uses Fury Swipes. There is also a Zigzagoon with Tackle and a Mudkip with Growl in the party. Fury Swipes will do 3x damage now. Then, Mudkip, Zigzagoon and Meowth all take 1/8 recoil.

CEO
Doubles money earned in battle. Increases Pay Day's BP x3.

Skeptic
Normal moves deal increased damage to Psychic, Fairy and Ghost type Pokémon. (Bypasses the immunity, too, natch.)

Amplifier
Sound-based attacks deal increased damage to Ground and Flying type pokémon.

Recuperate
HP recovers when recharging. (E.g. Hyper Beam, Frenzy Plant.)

Lucid Dreams
Pokémon can use moves while sleeping. 50% chance of dropping off each turn.

Volatile
Form changes when burned.

CEO would go to a Mega Persian, giving it a great no-drawbacks STAB move to go with Beedrill-esque minmaxed stats and huge in-game utility. Lucid Dreams is fun because it works like a pseudo-shed skin, shrugs off status with a sleep immunity. Volatile would go to a new pokémon, be a bit like a more useful Zen Mode - easier to control, too, with Flame Orb. Maybe a normal-type that becomes fire-type when burned?

Friendship Power
Any friendship-based moves will do 2x damage.

Agression
The lower your HP, the more damage you'll do.

FORMULA: Attack Damage x (Full HP - Current HP) ÷ (Your Level x 2)

Status Proof
Status conditions will do 3x damage or work 3x as well on their first 3 turns. After that, they'll disappear.

Aftershock - Moves that involve the Ground shaking (Earthquake, Precipice Blades, Magnitude and Earth Power) get 2x power and a chance to paralyze

Tempest - Flying-type moves get 10 more BP

Pride Charm - ("Pride" as in "Gay Pride") a same-sex version of Cute Charm (that will not distributed to genderless pokemon)

Retribution - If it faints by a foe's attack (and not be weather or status effects) it takes the attacker down regardless of its stats (but its treated as dealing normal-type damage so Ghosts can't be killed by it)

Element Trap - alters the pokeball effectiveness of wild pokemon based on the type chart. If you pokemon type has an advantage over the wild pokemon, the effect rate doubles. but it gets halved if their type is weak to the wild one's type (example: Fire over grass = 2x the pokeball's catch rate, Fire over Water = o.5 instea dof x2) The mastel Ball is unaffected by this and dual types do not bring it to 0 if the weakness cancels out the advantage (though if both types are stong or weak aganst the opponent's type, the boost becomes .25 or .4 and on the rare occasions where they are both weak to both types or strong against both types the respective rate will be .125 or 8)
