Kudos for @WatcherMark and @kantoskies for inspiring this thread!

What it says in the title: come up with a title and a plot synopsis for your own episode of the Pokémon anime! Be creative and place it in whichever region or series you want!

So I'm going to create an episode right now. Let's call it...

Hoenn Region! Contest Spectacular!

In the episode, Satoshi and Go visit Hoenn to watch a contest... and Satoshi has no idea what a contest is. It needs to be explained to him by a character-of-the-day, it bears no resemblence to the contests of the past, none of the familiar judges appear and Satoshi never once mentions that he's travelled with two coordinators.

Oh, and Go captures a random Hoenn Pokemon because why not.

That's pretty much what all the episodes are now, titles that tease continuity but don't deliver a scrap of it. Satoshi has gone through a mind wipe since he got back to the Kanto, to the point I was genuinely surprised that he remembered seeing Ho-oh in the first episode.

The episode itself was the same as the last few weeks... an absolute utter chore. We're in the opening episodes of a series, we should not be getting dull fillers yet. We have a whole slew of new Pokemon, and they're not getting used. Also, Satoshi is so sidelined by now I actually believe he was intended to be dropped after SM but someone higher up insisted he remain.
Some other episodes I'm excited to see:

  • Look Out! The Worst Togepi in the World!? where Satoshi and Go travel to an unnamed city in Sinnoh, Go attempts to catch a wild Togepi that has a bad attitude. It takes him 22 minutes to do so.
  • Fierce Fighting! The Orange League! Satoshi and Go travel to a recently-discovered archipelago off the coast of southern Kanto after hearing rumors of a rare Pokemon. Arriving, Satoshi is amazed as he has never been to an area quite like it before. They take part in a generic tournament called the "Orange League". Satoshi wins, of course, and Go captures about a dozen Kanto and Johto Pokemon.
  • Musashi and Miyamoto! Reunification! Satoshi and Go hear word of a Mew being spotted in some mountain range in northern Isshu(?) and chase after it. The Rocket trio follow and Musashi is separated from the rest in a snowstorm. She befriends a wild Pinpuku and is only in the episode for 4 minutes. Go catches a herd of wild Shikijika and Satoshi slips on some snow.
  • The Legend of Hiwada Town! The Prized Monster Ball! Satoshi and Go travel to the Johto region and meet Minoru (based on a Fisherman trainer on Johto Route 42), an eccentric man who specializes in crafting unique Monster Balls. Satoshi and Go use these unique Monster Balls to head into an unnamed nearby forest (does not look like the Ubame forest but isn't explicitly contradicted) to try and catch a lot of Pokemon. Go is given a special golden Monster Ball that was passed down through Minoru's family for generations.
  • Decisive Battle! Gekkouga vs Gaburias! Satoshi and Go travel to the Kalos region to research a new phenomenon known as "Mega Evolution". Once there, they find a wild Gekkouga who is being bullied by a Gaburias who can Mega Evolve. Satoshi and Go help the Gekkouga train to beat the Gaburias. Satoshi still only has Pikachu on his party.
  • Let's Go to Poni Island! The Strongest Pokemon!? Satoshi and Go travel to the Alola region's Poni Island. They meet a local unnamed trial captain who needs help finding his lost Gyarados. Go catches a herd of wild Gyarados in the process. The Rocket trio haven't been seen for twenty episodes.

But of course, it will be the entitled older fans expecting too much and reading too much into things. No one explicitly said that Miyamoto would appear, or Satoshi would reunite with his Gekkouga, and the fans are ridiculous to even think this might happen, episode titles be dammed. Oh sure, there was promo art of Satoshi holding what looked like the GS Ball, but to even think the show would bring that up again is ludicrous.

Not sure what the title is but it opens with Gou's Pokédex calling out, "NICE!" one too many times with the remaining 22 minutes devoted entirely to breaking it in increasingly violent ways to the point where the motherboard could be inhaled purely by breathing in within a 25 mile radius.

A more lighthearted episode could be Ash and Gou going to Kalos and the two of them have to crossdress to enter a Showcase for some reason.

BTW, similiar threads already exist for anyone interested:

I will create fan made Scarlet and Violet episodes.
the first episode is the called "a new start!"
this when the Paldea starters's origins

The start of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Series. Be warned: this comes from my imagination, so there are things that might not be true in an actual series.

In the Paldean town of Cabo Poco, an energetic and enthusiastic girl named Juliana sets out to school with her friend and neighbor Nemona when suddenly, two mysterious Pokémon fly above them at an incredible speed. Ash and Pikachu, who are revealed to have arrived to the Paldea region at some point, would later find them stranded on a beach below Poco Path.

I can think of a few that would make fun continuity-filled episodes.

Orange Islands Mission! Pinkan Berries & Crystal Onix?!
Ash, Goh, and Chloe are sent to the Orange Islands to study the Pink Pokémon and the effect the Pinkan berries have on the Pokémon, only for a displaced Crystal Onix to go on a rampage. Goh’s first impression of the archipelago is that it’s weird even for Ash adventure standards. Ash also reunites with Tracey!

Gringey City Council vs Cerise Laboratories
Professor Cerise gets a lawsuit against him from the Gringey City Council over his attempts to clean up the waste leaking into the surrounding areas due to a misunderstanding claiming his lab was trying to sabotage their factories. Ash, having dealt with the city before and not happy about it still being polluted, invites his Muk as well as Goh and Suicune to investigate and rally up the citizens to convince the stubborn city council and factory owners once and for all that the way they run the factories isn’t good for anyone. At the end, Muk and Suicune clean up the city and the council learns to work with the Poison-type and other waste-consuming/cleaning Pokémon in order to run their factories without destroying the environment. Galarian Weezing is also featured in this episode as an import from one of the citizens that help Ash and Goh.

Return to Rota, Lucario Remembers?!
Learning about the history of the town of Rota and the Tree of Beginning’s connection to Mew, Goh asks Ash to take him and Project Mew to the area in this four-part adventure:
  1. In parts one-and two, Ash’s Lucario begins reacting strangely to the kingdom of Rota and the Tree of Beginning, almost as if it was there in a past life. After learning that his Lucario is the reincarnation of the one he worked with that sacrificed its life to calm the tree down, can Ash and the rest of his team help Lucario get over its trauma?
  2. In parts three and four, Project Mew and Goh start investigating the Tree of Beginning, only to discover that its natural defenses and a version the legendary golems don’t like them intruding. While Goh takes the warnings to heart and decides this isn’t an ethical way to finding Mew, the rest of Project Mew doesn’t see the concern and brush it off as typical territorial behavior. Can Ash and Goh convince Project Mew that messing with the Tree of Beginning is a very bad idea, or will Ash’s Lucario have to sacrifice its current life as it did for Ash in the past? Perhaps a certain life-bringing/extending Pokémon can help.
