The title says it all: Create your own fanmade Elite 4 using existing (or pretend w/e) Pokemon, and make yourself the champion. I'll start:

(Please note: The members of my Elite 4 Members will have 5 Pokemon in their REMATCH team. The first 4 will be their initial challenge team, with the 5th being added onto the original team. Akhili is faced as like a security guard before the champion, both initially and when you rematch the league (Champion will always have 6).

Let's see what I can come up with. I'll be mixing Generations from 1 to 6 to keep things simple. Each will be using 5 Pokémons, with the Champion (me !) using 6. Hm, I'll try this using only established characters!

First off is Erika, promoted from Gym Leader status. There hasn't yet been a Grass-type E4 member, and Erika's fully-evolved Pokémon are actually quite a powerful and varied bunch. Her elegant and welcoming demeanour make her well-placed to introduce the player to the challenge gauntlet; she can use something like her final LGPE team.

1675637426885.png

Then we'll throw a Frontier Brain into the mix and introduce Brandon, a more bombastic personality - I'm sure he'd enjoy the challenge of representing the E4! The challenge here is that he needs to be retrofitted with a type specialism, but given he's basically a glorified Ruin Maniac I think we could safely opt for a Rock or Ground-type team. As Brock shares a similar love for ancient Pokémon, I think there's a fine match here.

1675635665972.png

This will be followed by a surprise appearance by a slightly more mature Wally, who has now fully committed to noble Fighting-type Pokémon. I think seeing him would be a welcome surprise for many players, and foreshadow another tough encounter later...

1675636290952.png

Bringing up the rear is Piers, who is clearly established as one of the top contenders in a region renowned for breeding a lot of tough customers (he narrowly loses to Raihan, a Trainer said to be Champion-tier in any other region, without using Dynamax). I'd pluck him out of retirement and see no reason for him not to have some variation on his Champion Tournament team.

1675637388125.png

The final revelation is that our Champion is none other than... Lillie, following her globe-trotting adventures! This battle will have some echoes of the terrifying battles against Lusamine, but with a style all of Lillie's own (as tempting as it was to include Nebby in the form of a box legend, this feels like too much of a deviation from established Champion team conventions).

Also, Wally simps for her. Hard.

This is a fun mix. I am working on mine as well, wanting to join in.

After doing a Tournament Breakdown using the Gym Leaders, I determined that the best Elite Four would be:
Clair-Dragon (Fighting Dojo HGSS)
The only change would be dropping the Dragonair.

Juan-Water (Fourth Rematch)
No major change.

Korrina-Fighting
She would have a mix of her teams. She would have:
Mienshao, 2 Machamp, Hawlucha, & Mega Lucario

Grusha-Ice (Rematch)
No major change.

My Fakemon region based on New England, Sekwi, has just recruited a new Elite Four after a scandal involving Team Chaos. Two of these four Trainers were Gym Leaders in their home regions. Keep in mind that out of their six Pokémon, one or two will be native to Sekwi.

Originally from the Kanto region, Lt. Surge has some interesting Electric type Pokémon. Raichu, Electrode, Electivire, Magnezone, Pegastorm (Electric/Flying Zebstrika evo), Diloshok (Rock/Electric fossil based on Dilophosaurus)

Gardenia, from the Sinnoh region, uses Grass types. Roserade, Tangrowth, Gourgeist, Sekwian Tropius (Grass/Fairy based with maple leaves and oozing syrup), Appletun, Cherrim

Keisha is a younger sister of former Nacrene City gym leader Lenora, and uses normal type Pokémon. Genghoos (Dark/Normal regional Gumshoos evo based on skunks and cartoon dictators), Staraptor, Farigiraf, Davindri (Poison/Normal Grafaiai evo), Drampa, Stoutland

Last but not least is Merlin, who uses Fairy types. Azumarill, Gardevoir, Mimikyu, Grimmsnarl, Sekwian Dragonite (Dragon/Fairy type that resembles Dragonair a bit more), Klefki

I'll only be using existing Gym Leaders for this.

A simple but fun one could be based off the 4 elements. Their typing isn’t 100% set stone, like Earth can use ground and rock types. I like having some variety like that. All E4 is level 56 then 58 for aces. Champion starts 58, then 59 and last 2 at 60

Personally, I love building elite 4 teams with 5 mons, with one Pokémon that may not be their type specialty but still fits their theme and general vibe. I am also choosing to place my league in the Alola region, so I am going to do my best to suit the region and pull from its pokedex rather than the national one. Although I am using the Ultra Sun and Moon pokedex, I’m pretending this takes place in the Sun and Moon universe to prevent overlap with totems and other crucial battles. In contrast to the original game's design, I want the elite 4 to be challenged in a specific order, so the levels may steadily increase and each battle can feel like a more difficult challenge.

1. Ilima (Normal:
Smeargle (Lvl. 54)
Ability: Technician
Item: N/A
-Spore
-Endure
-Endeavor
-Extreme Speed

Gumshoos (Lvl. 54)
Ability: Stakeout
Item: N/A
-Crunch
-Hyper Fang
-Super Fang
-Yawn

Braviary (Lvl. 54)
Ability: Sheer Force
Item: N/A
-Crush Claw
-Rock Slide
-Aerial Ace
-Roost

Clefable (Lvl. 54)

Trevenant (Lvl. 55)
Ability: Natural Cure
Item: N/A
-Horn Leech
-Shadow Claw
-Leech Seed
-Will-O-Wisp

Alolan Exeggutor (Lvl. 55)
Ability: Frisk
Item:
-Dragon Hammer
-Leaf Storm
-Synthesis
-Flamethrower

Sudowoodo (Lvl. 55)
Ability: Sturdy
Item: N/A
-Wood Hammer
-Rock Slide
-Hammer Arm
-Earthquake

Shiinotic (Lvl. 55)
Ability: Effect Spore
Item: N/A
-Moonblast
-Giga Drain
-Spore
-Strength Sap

Tsareena (Lvl. 56)
Ability: Leaf Guard
Item: Grassium Z
-Power Whip
-High Jump Kick
-Zen Headbutt
-U-Turn

3. Ryuki (Dragon):
Garchomp (Lvl. 56)
Ability: Sand Veil
Item: N/A
-Dragon Claw
-Crunch
-Earthquake
-Poison Jab

Drampa (Lvl. 56)
Ability: Berserk
Item: N/A
-Dragon Pulse
-Hyper Voice
-Thunderbolt
-Ice Beam

Turtonator (Lvl. 56)
Ability: Shell Armor
Item: N/A
-Overheat
-Dragon Pulse
-Fire Blast
-Focus Blast

Tyranitar (Lvl. 56)
Ability: Sand Stream

-Giga Impact

Kommo-o (Lvl. 57)
Ability: Leaf Guard
Item: Dragonium Z
-Clanging Scales
-Focus Blast
-Flash Cannon
-Flamethrower

4. Mina (Fairy):
Klefki (Lvl. 57)
Ability: Prankster
Item: N/A
-Dazzling Gleam
-Flash Cannon
-Reflect
-Light Screen

Granbull (Lvl. 57)
Ability: Intimidate
Item: N/A
-Crunch
-Play Rough
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge

Comfey (Lvl. 57)
Ability: Triage
Item: N/A
-Draining Kiss
-Synthesis
-Energy Ball
-Aromatherapy

Kecleon (Lvl. 57)
Ability: Color Change
Item: N/A
-Brick Break
-Thunder Wave
-Substitute
-Sucker Punch

Mimikyu (Lvl. 58)
Ability: Disguise
Item: Fairium Z
-Swords Dance
-Play Rough
-Shadow Sneak
-Leech Life

When picking the elite 4, I really wanted to choose someone to represent each island, and seeing that this takes place in Sun and Moon, there were no battles against the trial captains or Ryuki during the main story, excpet for Ilima but it has been long enough to battle him again. Mina was the most difficult team, since she had so much overlap with other people and I wasn’t sure what special Pokemon to give her. Regardless, I like her team and although it may not be the toughest, it makes sense to me, and that is more important in my eyes.

Champion Aaron_gogoat (Multitype):
Ribombee (Lvl. 59)
Ability: Shield Dust
Item: Focus Sash
-Bug Buzz
-Moonblast
-Energy Ball

-Thunderbolt
-Recover

Dragonite (Lvl. 58)

-Aqua Jet
-Play Rough
-Liquidation
-Superpower

Lycanroc Dusk Form (Lvl, 60)

Ability: Tough Claws
Item: Lycanium Z
-Aqua Jet
-Play Rough
-Liquidation
-Superpower

As a fun way to add difficulty and because I never see it, they will all be nicknamed. When challenging the Champion the names of the Pokemon won’t be said on switch-in, rather the battle exclusively uses the nicknames. It also makes the Champion more human as characters rarely, if ever nickname their Pokemon when it is a staple of the game.

The nicknames are:
Ribbon (Ribombee)
Blu (Azumarill)
Cinder (Alolan Marowak)
Supernova (Starmie)
Barnabus (Dragonite)
Spike (Lycanroc Dusk)
