Prologue
'June. The month every aspiring Ultimate wishes for. The Hopes Peak Search. Different representatives will go around the world, looking for the best of the best. Everyone either comes from Japan, The United States Of America, or France. The big attractions are sports stars, idols, and celebrities. Then you have people like the Ultimate Archer, Ultimate Caterer, Ultimate Conductor. Then you have people like me. Useful, but paid no attention to. That's my life, but that's fine. I don't need the recognition, just seeing people wearing my clothes brings me hope. Brings me to hope in my darkest hours.'
Cerit came back to his house. Well, not really a house. Just a dumpster. This was the day, the day he took the next step in his life. After 6 years of constant working with little earnings, he saved up enough money to afford an apartment for around 6 months. That should be enough time to get a suitable job. After gathering his money in a bag, as well as some clothing and a plush frog, he made his way down the street. Hopeful for the future of his life, leaving his best home behind, he took a step closer to the apartment complex before ....
Two men approached him. They were both wearing suits and ties. They looked, fancy, weirdly fancy. This wasn't a fancy part of town. "Excuse me, Sir! Are you Mr. Cerit Bowet?"
Cerit was very confused. How did they know his name? Looking at them, he saw a Hopes Peak badge. Why would they need him? A tailor who got no recognition. "Y-Yeah? W-Why?"
"I am Klein Hardbrooke! Former Ultimate Politician! Now a Hopes Peak Recruiter. After talking with some folks around the town and some businessmen, we have came to you!"
They handed him a letter. It sure looked official. He was skeptical, and a little scared. But he opened up the letter, and read it.
To whoever may be reading this,
Hopes Peak's Search has found you! You were chosen by our recruiters to join Hopes Peak for our next year of schooling! Now that you were chosen, you will come to Hopes Peak in Tokyo, Japan on Saturday the 13th of June. You will be escorted by your recruiter. Upon arrival, you will be given new clothes designed by a top tailor, a free eating pass for almost everywhere in Tokyo, and free housing. We will do everything in our power to make you comfortable and successful.
With our Best Regards, Hopes Peak Academy!
This was, insane to say the very least. He was chosen? This had to be fake. He had only heard about Hopes Peak from people on the sidewalks and year-old magazines. Never in a million years would he have imagined he would get chosen. Millions of people dream to go there and study. Only 200 get chosen. He was a ...... Ultimate.
And that's our prologue. If you have any tips at all, please give them to me. I want to become a better writer. Thanks!!!
